Mike from Tommy Beach came out to replace a toilet flush valve and seat, and fix a small leak under the sink. Sink leak and seat were done fine, but after the flush valve replacement the toilet bowl would not fill to a normal level, and was very low. I asked if he could adjust and instead of trying to fix it - he lied to my face and said there was no way to adjust it - basically he was just lazy and wanted to leave, so made excuse after excuse and refused to work to adjust it. After he left I went on YouTube and found a way to adjust the valve even after it was in place, it just needed a full turn counter clockwise and voilà - FIXED. Mike claimed he had 48 years experience in plumbing, so either he is the worst plumber ever and knows nothing, or was simply lying to me.

Very well. Though toilet needed a new wax ring but turned out the flange had broken. This was not your typical leaky toilet repair. It took some effort to fix it. The repair could have escalated into a major effort, but the plumber found a way to make a solid fix. As usual, I'm very please with the service from Tommy Beach Plumbing and will use them again.

They were actually recommended to me by CPA and the person who came was Mike. I had a leak in my sump pump outlet pipe. So he came and he fixed that. I had another local contractor helping me with some dry wall stuff as I had cracks in my ceiling from earthquakes and I also had one over my dryer. When he went to fix that he said that it doesn’t leak. Then I called Beach plumbing man and he comes over. I was afraid that I was supposed to cut off the wall outside my master bedroom and he didn’t. There is a procedure that he uses. It was the shower head that was leaking and it was leaking down. The back of the shower head was connected to the plumbing and it leaked down the pipe onto the ceiling below and that caused the crack. It wasn’t the earthquake. He came when he said he was going to come. He works real quickly and was out of there with all fixed. For the sump pump thing instead of taking the entire pipe out, which he could have done to cost me more. He patched the piece that had the problem. He patched it instead of redoing the whole pipe and he said that it’ll be fine. He also told me that if he had to replace the pipe, he wasn’t going to go through the concrete and he was just going to run it. He also showed me how he was going to run it and that was perfectly acceptable too for me.
Description of Work: I used Tommy Beach about three weeks ago for sump pump repair and last week for another plumbing work.
