Spectrum Inc

I understand why most reviews are written by people with and ax to grind. For those of us who are satisfied and busy with our lives, this takes time an effort I usually don't have. I am not a shill or a plant or on their payroll, I am just a wildly happy customer and I am finally getting around to saying so. Spectrum Inc is a general contractor specializing in professional office space. I am a practicing physician. We moved our office nearly 1 year ago from Seven Corners to Ballston. I chose Spectrum on a recommendation. I am now able to state that after nearly 1 year of living in the space they created for us, I couldn't be happier. At every point along our relationship, they were friendly, professional, and helpful. Did we have issues with the project? Yes; with the architect, the building management, the IT companies, the inspectors. . . but never with Spectrum. They supported us and walked us through all the complexities of a professional build-out and came in in budget and early. I don't think many can say that. George Hefner, the owner is amazing. He put together a team of experienced folks who ran weekly, productive meetings, built timelines, gave advice and effectively made fixes on the fly that were cost effective and timely. Bob Brown was in charge of the project and was on time, prepared, and kind. He brought calm to those of us with limited experience in this area by explaining every issue and choice and by helping us to make good decisions along the way. Specifically, the carpet company did not have the stock we needed, but with his prodding, he got them to make an extra production run and got the correct carpet in and on time. I find that astounding! Matt ran the day to day construction and we were invited to come and see the progress along the way. The job site was safe, neat and organized. The workers were efficient and friendly. At the end, All the principals, George, Bob, Matt, the building managers and we came together to create the finishing punch list and Spectrum was, by far, the most critical, marking every little irregularity and scuff mark. The then fixed it all and left us with a beautiful and perfectly build space that has stood the test of time. 1 year later, I couldn't be more please! The place still looks new, nothing falling off or peeling. Every day I come to my office, I smile, remembering a process that was easy, professional and left good memories. I would hire Spectrum Inc, General Contractors anytime and you should too.
