The technician, William, gave me a call explaining he needed to change his arrival time with plenty of time for me to adjust my schedule which was extremely helpful. He was so diligent, he actually beat me home before his rescheduled time. He came in, found the problem immediately, serviced the unit, and offered some great tips. He offered extra service, but made sure I understood they were not necessary to ensure the unit would perform as expected. That was refreshing. After he left, I decided to run it for a bit, but it didn't light. I gave him a call, and without even asking, he said he was on his way back. He came back, worked out the small glitch, and made sure it was in perfect working order once more. He was exceptionally professional and pleasant. This is a great company.

The receptionist was very nice, provided a reasonable quote, and scheduled a date to come out and clean the chimney. The chimney sweeps came out and did a great job. We would use them again.

The chimney sweep arrived on time, did the job and was very helpful, fixing a misaligned flu that was letting air in and giving other advice.

Elvis did a great job evaluating our chimney, which ended up being acceptable per current code. He spent a lot of time teaching me how to properly build a fire and manipulate it using the various damper controls on the 1986 wood-burning stove. He patiently waited until there was a strong fire going in the stove before leaving. Having never started a fire in any type of fireplace before, Elvis explained everything to me in great detail, leaving me confident I could replicate the process. He didn't try to sell me anything extra, which I appreciated. The service was a bit pricey, but we did receive really excellent service.

Elvis showed up on time and did a complete inspection and cleaning of the fireplace. He covered the hearth and floor to protect it. He made sure that he cleaned up after the job was complete. I was very pleased with the service.

I was extremely impressed! Despite the fact that he was 1.5 hours late, he did call to tell me he would be late but not HOW late. For that I gave him a "B", but only a "B" because his knowledge and information he gave me once he arrived was invaluable. He took the time (and wasn't rushed or short) to look at everything and tell me all about my fireplace setup and explained the good/bad points. He went on the roof and took pictures of any trouble areas he saw, and he showed me the photos to explain his suggestions and findings. After having a terrible, unhelpful chimney sweep a year ago from another company, I wouldn't dream of using anyone else besides Nicholas from now on - he's definitely won over my loyalty. Next time I just have to set aside more time off from work on the day they visit, so I don't miss any meetings from the possible late arrival.

They were very thorough and clean. They were also very trustworthy and honest! I felt very comfortable with them in my home. They actually honored a coupon I had, and I would definitely use them again.

Elvis cleaned both chimneys and repaired a broken damper. After the first visit, I noticed a strong chimney small. I spoke with the company and they sent him back out to address the situation at no charge. Great to work with, responsive and well priced. Will certainly be using them again!!

They did fine. No complaints. My tenants were happy.

He ran about 10 minutes late, but called me to let me know he was running late. Good communication! Elvis did a great job. He is familiar with my wood stove, he has one himself! He replaced a cracked firebrick, and had the part he needed in his truck. He also let me know how to avoid breaking them in the future. He did a great job cleaning up after himself. Took down our wood stove serial number for their records, since they did not install it. We will definitely have Nicholas Chimney back next year for our annual cleaning and inspection.

In both instances, Elvis was prompt and professional, and most importantly, clean. When he left, there was no trace of ash or soot where he had worked. He also went outside and up on the roof to inspect the exterior of the chimney to make sure there were no problems there.

I had Nicholas Chimney out to sweep my chimney last year when I moved into my new home. They gave me a quote for having caps installed and replacing the crown which was well past its prime. When I called them up a year later they still had my quote and even honored the price. They showed up right when they said they would and when I got home from work everything was done and looked great. Will definitely use them again.

Very pleasant experience. I called to get an estimate and schedule a chimney sweep after receiving a mailer discount card. I had already researched chimney sweep companies in my area and printed out the contact info of this company from Angie's List days earlier so getting the discount mailer by coincidence made this an even easier decision to call and schedule. They were busy (a good sign) so my appointment was scheduled for two weeks out. On the day of the appointment, the two sweeps arrived on time, walked through the house to survey the two fireplaces and setup their drop clothes, etc... Within about 1-2hrs both chimneys were swept, the glass doors were cleaned like new, and there were no signs of any debris inside the home. Staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant and they worked very efficiently. The estimate was exactly how much I was charged. I will be using them again in the future.

The price was pretty good compared to another quote that I got. It was nearly half. It was the second time they came out. I had them do a chimney sweep and chimney inspection. They put a cap on the chimney. They were friendly and their prices were good. They had good ratings as well.

When I called them they refused to come to the estimate unless I had them service the fireplace first. The person I spoke to on the phone was very arrogant.

They came down early in the morning to clean and sweep the fireplace. They did a good job of cleaning up and did not make a mess. They also checked the chimney and noticed cracks and suggested repairing them. I decided to do that to make sure that it does not spald the bricks any more. So far so good.

They are good and honest professionals.

They were fine. We spent $100 on that service. Everything was fine. They came and did the job and they inspected the chimney for us, so it was good. They did not go above and beyond, but did average work.
