They did perfectly satisfactory work. They were easy to contact and came when they said they would and did the work.

We just had the chimney sweep come today. There was some confusion about that. They sent the wrong person the first time. Today, the second person showed up an hour late, but they did the job and they did a nice job. They were pretty good and they finished the work today. I would say they were not very professional because they sent the wrong person the first time and the guy that came out today was pretty late. I think I would use the company in the future.

They were wonderful. They were prompt and clean. They seemed to care about the fireplace like it was their own. They did good quality work. I think that their price was fair. They accepted my Angie?s List coupon. They were able to suggest to me that I call earlier in the year because they offer more discounts. I will call them back out in the future.

The cleaner, Elvis, arrived on time, was very professional, and did a great job cleaning. Not a spec of soot got into the family room. He also took our digital camera up to the roof to point out some minor damage that we may have to fix next spring. The whole process took about 40 minutes for one brick chimney / fireplace in a 30 year old house. The price ended up being exactly as quoted, which included an internet discount. I would definitely recommend them as a chimney cleaning service.

Sweep was polite and thorough. But, he was not aware of the Angie's List Discount I had confirmed when I made the appointment. Fortunately, I printed out the coupon and gave it to him; with that, he honored the discount. However, I did NOT get the chimney inspection I was promised when I made the appointment, so I still have no idea if my chimney lining is sound. The sweep said that such an inspection was an extra cost option. He DID tell me that my crown is in need of redoing, a $500 job. I'm not inclined to let them do it.

While Nicholas Chimmey was unable to do the work due to scheduling problems, I was given oral advice on how to proceed. I would definitely schedule work with this company in the future

They were fine. They were very prompt and came in and did the job. They called back a couple of times to see if we wanted to do some more detail cleaning. They were professional and neat and we were pleased with them. I think the price was very good.

They were very good and very thorough. They actually corrected a mistake that another company had made in the past, and did not charge extra to fix the lining. They only charged me for the basic sweep, which I really appreciated. I have heard good things about them, and was willing to pay a little more for their service. I have recommended them to my friends, and I will definitely use them again.

I called, and was offered helpful information right away to help me figure out what I needed to do (I am a new homeowner). I really appreciated that he answered so many of my questions. I was also given price quotes on the phone. The company called to confirm the day before. Billy arrived on time, and quickly got to work after thoroughly explaining what he was going to do. The work was finished efficiently, and my living room was left perfectly clean without a speck of soot. I really appreciated the photos he took on top of my roof. I was able to see that the crown of my fireplace is cracking apart, and bricks are going to fall off soon. Without sounding like a salesman, he offered advice about what to do, and gave me price options as well. I will definitely be calling them to do all of my future chimney work! A pleasure to work with.

I tried to reach this company several times by telephone. The first time I called I left a message which was never returned. The other times the phone rang and rang until their voicemail picked up. Forget it. I need to have some work done on my chimney but it won't be done by a company that doesn't answer their phone or return messages.

The representative arrived on time. I had specifically requested an early morning appointment (7am) so I could avoid being too late to work, so it was very important to me that the work began on time. The technician put drop cloths down over my carpet, and took his shoes off to avoid tracking in any dirt. He worked quickly and was very thorough--he explained everything he was doing, and showed me how the fireplace worked and what he was fixing. My fireplace works again, and it is sparkling clean--very pleased with the service.

I sent a copy of the report of needed repairs (prepared by them six months earlier) by snail mail. I phoned three times, getting a response once, and that response was just "We'll get back to you." I emailed them four times. This took place over an eight week period of time before I decided to look elsewhere to get the work that THEY had recommended done.

I moved into my house last summer and before I used the fireplace, I wanted to have it inspected. The serviceman, Elvis Guandique, was fantastic. He arrived early and examined every inch of my fireplace, looked up the chimney, and went onto my roof to view the chimney from the top. I thought I was going to need a new chimney cap (another $270), but Elvis told me my cap looked good, no holes, and no evidence of leaks. While on the roof, Elvis took a few pictures of the chimney top and cap and showed me those pictures when he came back down. When preparing the invoice, Elvis looked for a serial number on the fireplace but couldn't find one. I remembered that the previous homeowners had left the product guides for the fireplace, which I retrieved to show to Elvis. Elvis was able to obtain the model number for his records, and he also provided me with some good information about the quality of the fireplace brand. Overall, this experience was great.

Their service is great! They explain what they are doing and are very professional. They give me great advice, and they clean the fireplace very well! They answer questions really well and they are very helpful.

I called them for a repair, but it turned out I just needed a cleaning. They were efficient and managed the job very neatly. They didn't do more work than needed done.

He explained all the rules and regulations of chimney flues in this area. We recently moved from out of state and were not familiar with the chimney codes. Nicholas came out and fixed the flue to our specification and kept it up to code. He spend a lot of time explaining the different options to us and was very clear in his explanations.

After making the appointment, John was right on time. He cleaned out the entire fireplace and actually took the time to place the logs in their proper place and spread out the gravel "to make it look better." When I attempted to clean the front glass he asked if he could do it for me. He pulled out a special cleanser and sat on my floor to clean the glass until it was sparkling. Then, because I had several scratches on the front of the fireplace, asked what could be done. He offered to spray paint it; which he did and now it looks brand new. I asked if he could do the same to the brass cover on front of the fireplace. He didn't hesitate; he took it out to his truck and gave it 3 coats of spray paint. I truly expected to pay quite a bit more but he didn't charge another penny. He was very professional, courtesy and competent! Would not hesitate to refer this company or call them again!

Great. The crew arrived on time, did a thorough inspection and even caught a few things that home inspectors and another fireplace guy did not! I was only charged the inspection fee though they did some extras like removal of the old useless flews and a handle repair for the newer flew system.

Great! Professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Price quoted for chimney cleaning was $195 and another $195 for installing owner's fireplace door. Only charged me $55 for the door since they were already here. Will call with estimated for flue caps since mine are an odd size.

Nicholas Chimney and Stove agreed with inspection of other company that the two chimneys and wood stove were un-serviceable. Estimate for relining two chimneys and remove and replace old wood stove was $5,600 to $6,400 depending on wood stove selected. The technician seemed knowledgable.

Set up took forever. Good cleaning job. They took video of flue and said many tiles were broken and cracked. Said I needed a new stainless steel insert and bid $4000 to do the work which would take 5 days. I had another company inspect the flue and there is no problem with the chimney.

Our initial search for information on gas log inserts was a bit slow because the store didn't have a running gas log to show us. After talking with John, we made a decision based on his recommendation. Installation was a 1 day job. Workmen were very clean and efficient, and we are very happy with the gas log.

Raul Machado, the service technician for Nicholas Chimney did an excellent. He was on the job precisely at 8:30am as scheduled. He covered the floors with cloths and protected the carpets before he started to sweep the fireplace. When he inspected the chimney on the roof, he avoided placing the ladder against my new rain gutters. He also took a digital photo for my review that the chimney appeared to be in good condition. Truly a professional job well done.

The worker was a little late, but he called to let me know, which was nice. He was careful about putting down clothes so that he did not make a mess in the house. He did say that he did not know that I had a wood-burning stove in the fireplace, and I should have mentioned this to the office, but I had done this. He checked the chimney outside and cleaned out the chimney. Since we had never used the wood burning stove before, since we moved into the house about a year ago, he did give me some hints on how to use the stove, which was nice. He cleaned up after himself. He took some time with my furnace. He then cleaned out my clothes dryer duct, which took him about 10 minutes. The cost ($145, the same as the cost for cleaning the furnace) seemed out of proportion to the time spent was not good value for the money. There is some disagreement about how far under the deck the dryer vent goes, but the company was willing to come out and recheck the dryer vent.
