The actual hardwood installation was magnificent. The color was matched properly, the fit was perfect, and the stairs looked tremedous. Unfortunately his team did a very sloppy job on the finishing. When they applied the polyurethane coating, it went all over the painted walls on many stairs and dripped onto the stair below. I gave them extra money to paint the walls next to the stairs and they got paint on many of the stairs -- then polyurethaned over that so that the paint can not be removed. The final product looked poor. I complained and he offered to redo the finishing -- but it would require re-sanding every single stair, reapplying the polyurethane, and another day of my house being a dirty loud mess. I couldn't deal with it, and just left it as it was. He didn't even give me back the extra money I gave him to do the painting -- though it wrecked many of the stairs. I would not have him do any painting whatsoever. Save that for a painter. But the stairs themselves were great.

Did a beautiful job. Installed seamless hardwood transitions between rooms where there was a gap from uneven sub flooring. Built up the sub flooring where necessary. Went around at my request and inserted nails in sub flooring where we were hearing squeaks. Had hard flooring in 2 adjoining rooms- new hardwood matched perfectly. You would never know it didn't all go in at the same time. Installed unstained wood on the stairs and then stained and poly'd them- 2 coats. Matched rest of hardwoods perfectly and saved me lot of money by doing it that way. Needed a 3rd day to finish the poly on the stairs only. Very professional, came with a photo album of previous jobs. Very easy to work with , left the house spotless. Took all the trash with them on the 2nd day. Would definitely have them come back in the Fall to finish my upstairs.!!!!!

They were prompt, quick, and did a great job at a good price. I would recommend them to anyone.

Mr. Naula provided an estimate promptly and also brought a sample of the flooring to ensure that it would match that in the hallway. He arrived promptly on the agreed on date, finished the job in the time specified (one day). He and his workers were respectful and professional. It looks perfect and is seamlessly integrated with the existing hardwood floor in the adjoining hallway. We had also got an estimate from lumber liquidators but they could not match the floor. Mr. Naula's price was competitive with LL even though Naula provided more service in that we did not have to take prior delivery of the wood as we would have for LL. We would definitely use him again.

Mr. Naula's team began the demolition on December 31. Two days were initially budgeted for demolition, however upon beginning work, they discovered that the laminate flooring had been extremely thoroughly glued to the concrete floor. A massive amount of work was required by the team to chip up each board, which in some cases caused damage to the layer of self-leveling cement beneath, and took a tremendous amount of effort. Cuts were made laterally to the boards and glue solvent was poured on the floor over the weekend to soak glue free. It was a long process to finally get the floor cleaned up, and the team patched the self-levelling where necessary and got glue cleaned up almost two days late. They put down underfloor plywood, and laid the new floor on top of it. That part went really smoothly. The spindles were removed from the four staircases they were refinishing, and they hand-scraped the rails, stairs and landings, and installed the new landing as agreed. They put down a coat of poly, came back and sanded after a day of rest, then finished the baseboard install and put down the last coat of poly just as our painters were coming in to paint the walls. It should be noted that we were doing this project prior to our move-in to a new townhouse, so we were able to keep the house empty for the duration of the project. There was a LOT of dust, fumes, chemicals and I would not recommend this type of project for someone living in or having furniture in the house. Particularly because of the extra sawing and the chemical solvents used in our case, there was dust and chemicals everywhere and we ended up opting to get the ducts cleaned (which went well) and professional cleaners to come in (who didn't do a very good job, but that's another review). Mr. Naula's crew did vacuum up and keep the house clean, and did a final cleaning themselves, but in our case the extensive sawdust went all over the house too. We are planning to replace the carpets, and there was some minor damage and wear to the carpets throughout, but we expected that. We also did this project on a very strict timetable. Because the demo took so long, they were behind schedule getting the floors down and stained, and we did not have as much time to let the poly set as we'd have liked. However, the Naula team worked over the final weekend (9 days straight) to get the job finished prior to painting and move in. The painters (Juan Beltran Painting, whom we can't recommend highly enough) and Mr. Naula's crew worked around one another the final 2 days of floor prep. Mr. Naula was here for almost the entire project personally and did not sub out any of the work. At the end of the project we love the new floors, which are exactly as we specified and as promised. The stairs and rails turned out very well, and the rail pickets are installed better than when we moved in. The floor is almost an inch higher, which takes some getting used to at first. There are a couple of spots that will need touch up or adjustment, which Mr. Naula will come back to do once we've lived with everything for a while. Because the floor is higher, we can't put a rug or mat by any of the doors, which is not ideal, but having this beautiful floor is good compensation for that. The project was expensive, but Mr. Naula had the second lowest estimate and the most realistic and believable approach. Despite the difficulty with the demo, the solvents needed and the twice daily intrusion of a nervous homeowner he did not charge us more than the estimated price. It was exactly as promised and we're thrilled.

This was easily one of the best experiences I've had with any work I've had done. Luis and his team were fantastic. They arrived early in the morning, and cleaned up every day before leaving late in the evening. He knows what he is doing, and added some great input for the design of the wrought iron for the staircase. These guys are a hardworking bunch who perform the job to perfection, and in an extremely timely fashion. Couldn't be more happy with the courteous and professional service provided, and would highly recommend to anybody interested in hardwood floors or wrought iron.

The experience was fine. He came. He was courteous. He took the measurements. He arrived when he said he was going to arrive for the actual visitation. He did what he promised he would do and got back to me within a week with the estimate. The one complaint that I might have is that the estimate was verbal rather than written. He called me up and gave me some numbers over the phone. It would have been helpful if it was written down and sent through email or fax.

It worked out great and was very nice. He was on time and did a great job. They did what they said they would do. The price was pretty comparable.

Called for estimate, came the next day. Performed measurements, explained what the job would entail. Very professional, not pushy. Price was extremely fair and competitive. Worked with us to arrange a scheduled that worked for us, as my husband works from home, so they agreed to do the work on a weekend to avoid disruption to his job. They began work on time, punctual each day, and worked straight through until at least 6 p.m. (4 day job). They cleaned up every day prior to leaving. Workers were very polite and courteous. We are EXTREMELY pleased with the outcome, They matched the floors perfectly to our existing hardwood. The stairs were challenging and they exceeded our expectations! We obtained a couple of other quotes for the work, and am glad we selected Naula's!! We intend to have them come back to do additional work in the Spring.

Luis was prompt in arriving to meet with me and provide a quote and was flexible with my schedule. He was able to provide rush service to complete the job prior to my move in. Luis didn't try to talk me into something else, but quoted me on what I asked for and verified that he could make it happen, where other contractors said I couldn't use real solid hardwoods. There were several areas of old flooring that were badly stained and Luis sanded first to allow me to determine if the stains would come out enough to avoid replacement. When I decided to replace a few areas, the repair work was so good that I can't even tell where the new wood was laid in - it blends in flawlessly. For the new floors, he matched the type of wood and it looks just like the original. When I asked about a stain color he didn't have, he arranged to get that color, as well as several others that were close, so I could get just the color I wanted. He and his crew were courteous and polite, they left my home neat and clean, and they did an excellent job on my flooring.

Luis, the owner, was our contact from start to finish. He worked with 2 other very professional men the rest of the job. He came out and estimated the job, and began 2 weeks later. They began on a Monday morning at 8AM sharp and finished the job on Wednesday evening. They removed carpeting from hallway and stairs and prepped surfaces on the first day. Also on that first day they hung sheets of plastic (imagine Dexter) to protect the areas/rooms that were not being sanded. This was a critical part of prep. They sanded the next day using the large machine for open areas and small machines for areas close in to walls and on stair cases. They applied the first coat of finish the 2nd evening. The next day they came back to buff the floor and then applied the 2nd coat of finish. It is a smelly, dirty job and Luis and his crew limited the mess and inconvenience as best they could.

Juan performed. He made appointments, showed up on time and finished on time. I have nothing, but praises for his company's performance.

Lois came out for an estimate the same night I called him. The estimate was very competitive. The work commenced four days after the estimate, exactly as promised, and lasted two-and-a-half days. The crew cleaned up all working areas before leaving each day. The only minor issue - not all furniture pieces were in place at the end of the job.

I put in a request for the work on a Saturday, he got back with me on Monday and gave me a very competitive rate. He was here all day Wednesday with 2 other guys, they installed all of the hardwood floor. They were meticulous, each wood cut was precise, and they cleaned up beautifully after the job. They were excellent and very thorough. They were really nice guys, fun to work with, and had good attitudes the entire time.
