Nicole and Alex from Mayflower gained our trust from the beginning as we contemplated the changes we wanted to make with our kitchen. Nicole has a flair for design; Alex knows how to get the job done. Their knowledge of the Rotonda and its structure meant they knew what could work and what couldn’t, and they saved us the headaches of getting permits and approvals from the Rotonda front office. They understood our budget was limited. They advised us where we could save money by using a flooring contractor to put in oakwood floors and made clear as we thought over changes what the costs for each would be. Covid complicated our decisions. Alex and Nicole alerted us to possible delays that we might face due to supply backlogs. Their implementation team was excellent, polite and helpful throughout, working with us to find solutions to small problems as they came up. Despite some Covid delays, the work was completed in a reasonable 5-6 weeks, and they took care of all minor fixes shortly thereafter. All in all, an amazingly pleasant experience!

We just used Mayflower Construction Group for the second time; the first was to completely gut and rebuild a bathroom; this time it was a bathroom renovation. This job was as flawless as the first - - lovely interior decor advice, superlative work, on-time crew, no slow-downs due to missing supplies, etc. Nicole Eaddy was a tremendous help, again, in putting together a plan based on the size and limitations of our bathroom; we went in with an idea of what we wanted, but changed our minds when she showed us some other styles. She is a very easy to reach; no waiting for days or even hours when there is an issue or question. She's also tactful about things that one might not see; she recommended we get the ceiling done, which we didn't think was necessary - - until we actually LOOKED at it, and the collection of nail pops, odd angles, etc., that made it fairly hideous. The crew: a great group of very skilled men; their work is painstaking, and just a pleasure to see. They set up plastic barriers to keep dust to a minimum; they cover any floor they might be walking on, and remove any dust and debris before leaving every day. They are also very courteous and pleasant. Supplies: they are ordered BEFORE the job starts, so the work time is continuous; no "sorry, we don't have the (fill in the blank)". Sticking to a deadline: astonishing. The first time we used Mayflower we had a time crunch; a family was coming to stay for almost two months, so we needed to have it done in a short period of time, or put it off. Mayflower assured us they could do the job on time, and they did. We had had a very bad experience years earlier, with a local and very well-known bath and kitchen company; on that job, we were told it would take about 3 months; it actually went on for 18 nightmarish months. Mayflower met their deadlines, and in fact, beat them by a few days each time! To sum up: we wholeheartedly recommend Mayflower Construction Group.

We had a great experience with Mayflower Construction Group. Our old master bathroom had one vanity, an overly-large and outdated tub, and a mold-magnet of a shower. In short, it needed to be totally renovated. I researched several remodeling companies and chose Mayflower based on their willingness to work with our budget as well as the designer's ability to help me find a vision for the bathroom. There were four areas in which I think the group excelled: 1. Designing a bathroom with features that were in our price range and that fit with our preferences. Nicole helped me choose fixtures and materials that really suited both my taste and budget. She didn't push me toward the more expensive options (unless I had wanted that, but she identified different ranges to better plan the design). She was attentive, listened well, and with the project manager, Alex, came up with a practical, stylish design using the existing footprint of our bathroom. This leads to my next point 2. We were able to save some money on the project by mostly using the original bath footprint. Alex also consulted us when we needed to replace something or could use the old one if still in good condition (for example, our main bathroom door was just painted rather than replacing it with a new one). With Alex and Nicole's input, we decided where we wanted to spend more money or saving it based on our choices and preferences. I felt they were honest and trustworthy during the whole renovation process. 3. The renovation crew worked diligently each day and did a high-quality job. They covered stairs/flooring and any furniture/belongings (with temporary plastic walls) so as not spread dust or dirt during the demo. Each day they cleaned up the work area and vacuumed before they left. Some days they stayed late until they finished their tasks and also came some Saturdays if they were meeting a deadline. They were respectful and kind, and the end result was fantastic. 4. Our project manager, Alex, was available during the entire renovation so if we had any questions or concerns, he was on call for support. He kept us updated and aware of the schedule so we knew what to expect and handled a few minor hiccups with reassurance and calm. The whole team followed through on their parts. For all these reasons, we would highly recommend Mayflower Construction Group to anyone considering a renovation.

We selected Mayflower Construction Group to renovate the kitchen and two bathrooms of our condominium. The decision was made after soliciting and reviewing three bids, Mayflower having provided one of the bids. We quickly narrowed the field to two companies and ultimately selected Mayflower based on the quality and timeliness of answers to our questions about their design proposal, and clarification requested about flexibility with schedule and familiarity with rules of working within the Rotunda guidelines for contractors. Nicole’s answers were detailed and she followed-up to ensure we were satisfied with her answers. Planning for the execution of the project commenced immediately upon providing Mayflower with our notice to proceed. Nicole once again proved invaluable to the design process by making sound recommendations on final decisions about materials and colors to meet our goals from their impressive inventory of options at their showroom, and perhaps of greater importance was staying within our budget. We increased the scope of the original project by having the flooring installed as part of the original scope, extended throughout the condo and added a new flooring solution to the enclosed balcony. Nicole played one other very valuable role by coordinating all permits required by the Rotunda for the various projects. Mobilization by the Mayflower Construction Group team was efficient, with flow of material and tradesmen moving in and out depending on phase of the projects. Coordination with the Rotunda management team was seamless to us. The work was performed as promised and quality was excellent. Our condo was transformed from a 70’s/80’s era style to a modern feel with upgraded features. Project clean-up was very efficient and Mayflower has been very professional in addressing the inevitable punch list items which in our case were very minor. Communications throughout the project were timely and clear. Based on research we conducted prior to awarding our project to Mayflower Construction Group we expected a good outcome but we were very pleased with the positive outcomes on every aspect of the project. If we have any future work appropriate for the services of Mayflower Construction Group, they will be the first call.

From the beginning, Mayflower was a company intent on making the customer happy. A friendly and helpful office quickly set up my initial home appointment and provided a clear estimate. Design not being my strong suit, I welcomed contractor/designer Nicole’s guiding hand in selection of materials and design. She guided but didn’t dictate; helped with research but let me know when decisions involved a professional judgment or just a personal preference. She delivered samples of tiles and color wheels right to my home and otherwise made the pre-construction phase easier. She thoroughly reviewed the contract line by line to be sure I understood each section. Once the job was complete, she made it clear that Mayflower would still be there to respond to issues that might arise. Construction began and finished on time, and within the hours and terms allowed by my condo association. The office team was an efficient conduit for my questions or concerns and the few hiccups that did come up were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The construction team was friendly and efficient and did a good job protecting the space. The final product is gorgeous – beyond what I’d imagined could be done within my modest budget. I would highly recommend Mayflower to anyone contemplating a bathroom or kitchen renovation.

Incredibly well. From start to end, the project went well. Nicole did an amazing job of finding out our needs and concerns. She designed a perfect bathroom. We were converting an older bathroom to meet the needs of my mom, in her 80"s. We wanted to have all the safety features (non skid floors, lots of grip bars, non slip bath, taller toilet, more spacious vanity, better mirror, brighter light features, closet doors that open and close easier etc...)but at the same time, have the new bathroom look stylish and modern. Nicole designed a gorgeous bathroom and gave us a time schedule to follow. Her crew finished ahead of schedule. They were on time every day and left the place clean and orderly every afternoon. At the end of the job, they came back and did a super cleaning of the bathroom area. We could not have asked for a better experience.

I cannot recommend Mayflower Construction enough. We hired them to remodel a bathroom for my 89 year old mother with limited eyesight who lives at the Rotunda in McClean, VA. We live in California. Needless to say, we thought it would be challenging to take on such a project remotely. However, working with Nicole from Mayflower was a breeze! The main purpose of the project was to make the bathroom safer for my mother, while also updating the original bathroom to something more modern. While we haven't visited the finished product yet, we were given videos, photos and updates every step of the way and it looks beautiful. Nicole helped my mother and some of her friends to make the stone and fixtures selections and did so with exactly the right amount of recommendations, reassurance, and simplicity that worked for her. The project went exactly as Nicole said it would from the start and it was perfectly on time and on budget. The workers were very considerate of my mother and her home and were always on time and neat. The communication and support we received from Nicole was the biggest key to making this project so easy and pleasant for everyone involved. We only wish we could hire Mayflower Construction for a project for ourselves in California.

This was my first renovation I had ever done and being a first time homeowner I was nervous. The folks at Mayflower Construction were very nice, accommodating, thorough and detailed. I appreciated that everything in the contract was broken down by price. They were also great about any add-ons my husband and I had to the project. Communication was good and being a first renovator, I didn't know all my options for certain things like outlets, finishing work on countertops or cabinets and a few of those things were decided for me but when I didn't like it, they quickly remedied the situation and that was very important to me. When the wrong color cabinets were ordered, they corrected the mistake within a few days. When our new range hood took 7 weeks to come in, they worked with us on timeline to finish all the finishing touches. When a company takes responsibility for a mistake and doesn't make excuses and promptly corrects it, that's a company I will hire and work with again. Because let's face it, nobody's perfect but honesty and integrity are high value words to describe a company and I definitely will say that Mayflower Construction Group is honest and has integrity.

We wanted to renovate our bathroom, but were concerned with how long it would take to do the job (we've been burned before!). We have family coming for two months, so we knew it would have to be done quickly, or we'd just wait until after they were gone. We checked out five construction companies, all with good reputations. Nicole, the Office Manager at Mayflower Construction Group, asked us many questions, determined to be sure they could indeed do this job in the short time frame we had. Her knowledge and expertise meant everybody knew what was to be done on this job; no last-minute changes of plan or design because something had not been thoroughly thought out. She ordered all the materials before the job started. Nicole uses her own vendors, which came in handy when a sink arrived damaged, and there was an issue with another item; Mayflower was able to get new ones immediately. Nicole made a point of introducing us to Jose, the Project Manager. Jose and the craftsmen arrived right on time, day after day. Something we really appreciated was Jose's going over the day's work with the men, so again, we didn't have to worry about questions we could not have answered, whether technical or stylistic. The men did a superb job of protecting our home, particularly our floors, from any damage; every day they cleaned everything, from the bathroom, the hall, and right out the front door. And, they were courteous and pleasant. The bathroom was actually finished (and beautiful) a day earlier than expected. Jose inspected the bathroom when it was finished; Nicole came to our house a few days later, to go over everything, and to discuss their customer service and warranties if any issues arise. The bottom line is that we have every intention of hiring Mayflower again, and recommend them highly.

Mayflower construction group remodeled my master bathroom. I got several different estimates and Mayflower was the only one that took time to listen to what I wanted and give me what I wanted. The only problem we had was a shipment delay for the bathroom tile. I don't believe that was mayflowers fault. We stayed within budget. I am in love with my bathroom! I cannot say enough about the excellent workers from Mayflower. They went beyond and above to protect my property. They were very polite and considerate. Working with Nicole in particular and Mayflower in general, was a joy. Nicole made everything easy. I would definitely use them again.

We had our master bathroom remodeled. It was over 30-years old and in dire need of renovation. We needed to have everything removed and start over to include removing the bath tub and enlarging the shower. The bathroom vanity was replaced with a beautiful new counter top. With the room gained by removing the tub, we enlarged the shower and added a floor to ceiling cabinet. The new floor is beautiful. All walls and the ceiling were patched, painted and fresh.

I will start my review of my experience with Mayflower Construction Group with the bottom line up front: Hire this team! I repeat, hire this team. I choice Mayflower to do a complete renovation (included partially taking down a wall and relocating the sink) after speaking with several companies. After meeting with Nicole and Alex at their showroom, I knew they would be the one. This was even before I received their quote. I just had a good feeling about them. Most of the companies you will be considering could probably get the 90% of a job correct. What you are hoping to find is the company that takes pride in overachieving that last 10%. That is where Mayflower excels in my opinion. Here just a few examples: at no extra charge, they painted the celling in the adjacent rooms because the freshly painted kitchen ceiling would not blend. As I mentioned, we had a wall partially taken down and obviously, the movement of electrical and such would require some touch up painting. This was something I was planning to do, but Mayflower asked us what color we were planning to use, and painted not only the walls near the kitchen, but the entire hallway. There were also pleasant surprises like the lights Mayflower put under the cabinets. Additionally, dressing up the sides of the cabinets so they would not look plain. During the design phase, Nicole suggested a great sink that we love. Alex suggestion for the window was spot on. I love how that turned out. These are just a few examples of how Mayflower goes the extra mile. They were in my home for about a month. Their team took great care to ensure the daily work was contained to the work area while the rest of the house saw no impact. We have a 15-month child and the Mayflower team ensured the kiddie gate was always closed. At the end of each day, the area was left cleaned and no dangerous tools or other items were left around. Again, with the small child in the house, that was important to us. The result exceeded our expectations. Mayflower turned our vision into reality. I joked to Alex that my new kitchen does not belong in this house. It is way too beautiful! Mayflower can do the same for you.

Wow! I feel like Mayflower has become part of my family. I brought them right after a plumbing disaster that resulted in the loss of my kitchen, basement and half of the hardwood floors in the living and dining rooms. The insurance company was a big hold up. Nicole and Alex were so patient trying to work with the Claims Reviewer. I was in constant communication with everyone throughout this process. Nicole was very responsive. Ultimately, everything was worked out the day before Thanksgiving. Mayflower started working immediately, they worked on Thanksgiving. They were able to build me a new kitchen, a new basement and replace the hardwood floors in three weeks. The results were absolutely gorgeous. I love my new kitchen and my basement is so pretty I feel bad just using it for storage. I would recommend them highly to anyone wanting or needing to do work in their home.

We could not have been happier with Mayflower. Alex did an incredible job redesigning our kitchen and bathrooms. Nicole was fantastic to work—helping us pick out materials and keeping everything on time. The crew was also great. We had a great experience with Mayflower and will use them for all of our future home renovation projects.

This was our first major remodeling job and we selected Mayflower because of their competitive pricing and a very helpful and professional staff to renovate our rental condo. Mayflower delivered the work they promised and on time. What was especially attractive was their one-year guarantee of their work and the repair team was very prompt when we needed to have couple of things followed up such as re-caulking parts of the bathtub and replaced the defective bathroom mirror without question. We were looking for someone that we could establish relations with since we were also looking to renovate our own home and we will be working with Mayflower again soon.

Its rare when I pick service providers online without research, and comparing notes but .... my bathroom pretty much fell apart and I was not in the mood to wait. Mayflower Construction caught my eye because they were close and had a cute logo. Wow did i luck out! Mayflower just completed my bathroom remodel at I could not be more pleased. The bathroom looks FANTASTIC. I really had no idea what i wanted so they really helped me settle on design concepts and ideas, and it's everything that I hoped for. More than that though, they're just really nice people to work with, from the management to the office staff, to the folks onsite. They're super responsive and always helped me immediately with any questions or concerns I had about anything pertaining to the project. Lastly, there was not a bunch of upselling and "secret charges" involved, or schedule juggling while they fit in higher priority customers, as with many with contractors. They instead tried to identify reduced costs and savings where possible, and were on time every day. Overall it's been a great experience with Mayflower and if I have another home project in my future I will definitely call them.

Mayflower renovated our masterbath, and kitchen simultaneously and exceeded our expectations throughout the entire project. Mayflower was able to balance multiple major projects and scheduling to ensure work was completed on time and on budget. Being an architect, I worry about contractors every day. I never had to think twice about Mayflower and their staff. Everyone is professional, experienced and makes you as the client feel safe and secure that your project will be completed to the standards they would employ for their own personal homes. They corrected things we did not even pick up on, and if we noticed something during the construction they would immediately take care of it. Communication was easy, we had to have a couple days where we had prior obligations and could not have work on site for a couple days, Mayflower was able to schedule around our schedule. We love our new space and can't wait to test all the recipes from the cooking shows we've been watching on Netflix during the renovations! Overall working with Mayflower was a great experience and we plan to recommend them for fiend's and family's kitchen and bath projects.
