It wasn't expensive and was absolutely in the ballpark range. They gave me all the information about the cost and in addition he also came back because I had told him I had a problem with the gutter helmets. He showed me a product that he was familiar with which had a fiberglass mesh. He put that inside the gutter so that all the water completely goes down and nothing at all gets into the downspout.

I was satisfied with their work. Their price was similar to other proposals I received, and a bit lower than some of the larger roofing companies in the area. The work was completed in one day, and the crew did a good job of cleaning up the site. I had a few follow-on items, all of which were promptly resolved.

Our 21-year old roof needed replacement and had already begun to fail over the garage. After some research and deciding that I wanted Certainteed Landmark dimensional shingles I gathered five estimates, mostly from firms who were working in the neighborhood replacing hail damaged roofs. The estimates ranged from $5,500 to $15,850. A neighbor recommended JAS Roofing, a long established business in Vienna/Fairfax. Their estimator was quick and courteous and gave an estimate for the roof work for $6900, not including sofit vents or new roof sheathing as needed. The work began on a mutally agreed date when I could be present. (I did not need to be.) The workers were 45 minutes late because of a vehicle breakdown, but nevermind. They went to work and appeared to be an efficient team wrapping up roof installation and clean-up, departure by mid afteroon. (The sofit vents were installed previously.) JAS owner, John Sessions, stopped by several times during the operation and when it was finishing up. . JAS Roofing provided a positive home repair experience. And it turns out that the CertainTeed has upped their 30-year guarantee to a lifetime guarantee.

They were great. They offered to come back. I had a fan in my roof and they moved it for me. They actually changed the location of the switch for some reason. They told me that if I wanted the fan to be removed at any point, they would come back and do it for me. I knew the guy’s father. He was very nice and accommodating. The roofing work was done well. Years ago, he had installed gutter guards. There is an oak tree near my house. I discovered that the tiny seedlings from the tree could still get in to the gutters even with the covers on them. So, he recommended another type of material, a fiberglass mesh that he could fix inside the gutter. Now, my gutters don’t get clogged anymore. He came back, three years ago, and removed the existing covers that I had and installed the new gutter mesh. I spent about $4000 on the job. I would use his services again in the future.

I FEEL THAT HE IS A POLITE MAN, BUT THE WORK IS SLOW. HE HAD BEEN WORKING ON THE ROOF LEAK FOR ALMOST 6 MONTHS. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO REACH HIM WHICH MAY BE DUE TO OTHER PROJECTS.
