Description of Work: Renovated lower section of house into rental unit. Built interior wall to allow privacy between rental unit and remainder of home. Installed ceramic tile flooring. Removed wet bar and built kitchenette unit; replacing plumbing and rewiring. Renovated bathroom replacing toilet and vanity. Re-tiled shower. Painted entire unit; replacing molding and closet doors in bedrooms.

Description of Work: When I met Mr. Dressler, he seemed professional and knowledgeable. We agreed on what work I wanted to have done, and I specifically asked him if he would obtain the necessary bldg permits prior to the start of work...he did not! As an individual, Mr. Dressler is fairly knowledgeable, especially to someone who is not familiar with the work being preformed...I use to be a contractor. Once Mr. Dressler had my money, he continually had a crew of inexperienced non-english speaking workers in my home. I consistently caught them preforming poor work, and when I confronted Mr. Dressler about the poor work, he became aggressive and failed to fix the problems. Their drywall work was the worst I have ever seen! I had brand new cherry hardwood cabinets, that upon installation, they did not measure for studs to mount to, they just blindly drilled holes in my cabinets hoping to find studs. Some of my cabinets have more than 15 holes drilled through the inside. At the same time, they did not use proper cabinet screws with enough surface area to support the weight of the cabinets, they used decking screws, so I have to now re-mount all of my cabinets. Mr. Dressler started work in my master bathroom, but was fired in the process. Everything that was done in my bathroom was done incorrectly and had to be removed. The concrete board that is the base for laying tile floors was not laid correctly, it was just placed and they planned to cover it up with tile....my tile would have broken. The tile ready floor that he laid in my shower would not allow for proper draining of water. There would have been standing water every time the shower was used. Everything had to be removed. Mr. Dressler and his crew preformed all work illegally without permits...construction - electrical and plumbing, yet I was told permits had been obtained. His crew treated my home like an industrial construction sight; trash and food left everywhere, they ate my food, caused damage to freshly painted walls by stacking trash against them and in turn punching holes in the walls. Mr. Dressler consistently made decisions about my home without asking me first, which in turn forced me to buy more materials because he decided to use some of my hardwood flooring to make window sills.
