This was my first time using the Best Buy Geek Squad to do any work and I was surprised and delighted with the experience. The crew, led by John Manis, was the hardest working crew I’ve had the pleasure of working with. They were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to insure my project was completed to my satisfaction. The level of communication by Best Buy and the team throughout this process was outstanding. My project was an upgrade of a 12 year old home theater setup which included a new receiver, projector, and installing four ceiling mounted speakers for ATMOS to add to the existing 7.1 configuration. I used Angie’s List to connect with some local service providers and got some quotes on the work. I stopped by my closest Best Buy at Tysons Corner in Vienna, VA to visit the Magnolia Home Theater and compare projectors and speaker configurations. I met Sean and he demonstrated the various combinations I asked for and asked if I’d like to engage the Geek Squad for a free consultation. I had not settled on a vendor so I agreed and gave Sean my information and setup an appointment. I was contacted by Michael Cronauer, In-Home Advisor who stopped by a few days later to look at the project and give me a proposal. Michael’s questions and suggestions conveyed a deep level of expertise and the quote was very reasonable so I moved forward with the having the Geek Squad do the work and ordered all the materials except for the new receiver from Michael. We made the appointment for the install and received confirmation from Best Buy and a few days before the date received another confirmation as well as a phone call from John Manis who’s team was going to do the install. John and team showed up as scheduled and put in a very long day installing the gear. The task was complicated by having to install four ceiling speakers in a basement theater as well as run new HDMI and CAT6. As their final task they installed two more speakers upstairs having to cut through a plaster ceiling. Michael followed a few days after the install to see how it went. Very nice touch. There was one small task that they were unable to complete that day but John and Justin came by the following Saturday and terminated the CAT5/6 cables for the projector. The project has exceeded my expectations and I love the new 4K Epson projector and 7.1.4 ATMOS setup with my Marantz SR8012 receiver. The biggest surprise has been just how professional the entire team was and the level of communication via email, text, phone, and the Best Buy app all working as one to keep me informed every step of the way. Truly impressive. This experience has encouraged me to use the Best Buy iOS app more often, especially since it supports Apple Pay for purchases in the app. I’ve since made a purchase that otherwise would have been on Amazon (which does not accept Apple Pay). Well done, Best Buy.

Good. If you go in there and ask a question, they know everything. Whenever you drop off your computer they fix it and call you and prompt you that its ready.
Description of Work: They just scan your computer. Whenever I have issues with my computer, they always help and fix your computer.

All work performed as expected, but price was very high and although both tvs were installed in the same house, they had two orders and there was confusion as to the time for installation. The technicians did straighten that out and, as stated above, did good work.

I made an appointment on-line. I left work early to meet the technician and he didn't show. When I called I was told that I had cancelled the appointment (not true!). After a fairly difficult rescheduling process, the technician arrived two hours late - after 6 on a Saturday evening! This was probably not his fault, but certainly inconvenient for us -- should we try again to reschedule? Hs work was good and efficient after he arrived. After complaining, I received a $50 gift card.

We're very pleased with them. We've gotten the service accomplished by phone. They seem like they're a trustworthy company, that they're gonna be around. We kinda worked with them because we didn't exactly know what we wanted but we knew that there were a lot of changes being made. It was kind of an overwhelming experience. They just kinda bring out the stuff and tell us we're gonna want this and that but you don't know what you're looking at. Our experience has been fine, no problems.
Description of Work: We bought a new desktop PC at Best Buy-Geek Squad and you get a free service for a year.

Everything was excellent. They guy immediately sat down and began working on the computer. It took a little while, about 30 minutes, but when he was finished, I had my computer back, nice and clean.

I left the computer on a Sunday. The Geek Squad promised to call me in two days to give me a report (diagnostic); not only didn't call me, but after 6 days they hadn't done a thing. I asked them specifically that I didn't want to leave the computer if it wasn't going to be ready in no more than 5 days. They told me that they would call me in 2 days and tell me if they could do it or not. They didn't do a thing. They never call me. They never run the diagnostic. They have no respect for the customer; they have no sense of accountability; they have no sense of customer service. Punctuality and respect means nothing Horrible
Description of Work: Windows install didn't work; I was trying to install software and I wasn't able to do it. Everythign else work fine in the computer

I had a virus on my computer that I couldn't remove and they worked some miracle and got rid of it. While it was there, I also had them do a quick check up to make sure everything was in working order. When I got home I realized that they had forgotten to reinstall my CD-ROM.
