Description of Work: Holly, the head of Clutter Control, has worked with me for many years. She is unequaled when it comes to professionalism, organization, sensitivity, reliability and creativity. She has guided me though the reorganization and scaling down of my closet, which was a monumental task! She never judged me for the fact that I owned 25 pairs of black pants; she just helped me to figure out which ones actually fit, and which ones needed to go. She has helped me with organizing for a major move, coming up with a game plan that made it all seem manageable. She reorganized my husband's den and books, after major negotiations with him about how it would be done. She has worked time after time, until the job was actually finished,not leaving the house until I, and just as important, she, was satisfied that things were the way they should be. Holly has literally saved me, reorganizing my closets, my papers, my basement, my attic area. She guides you through the process, helping you to let things go, and then making them disappear so that you can't change your mind. Whenever possible, she donates everything to various charities, so nothing goes to waste. She helps you to recognize your concrete goals and works toward getting you there. She interacts when it's appropriate, but is quietly focused when it is not. Obviously,, I cannot say enough about Holly. She is a gem who has gotten me through some of the most difficult periods in my life. She has removed the clutter and let me see clearly where I needed to go.

+ 0 moreHolly's knowledge, experience, and advice were invaluable, and she did more in three days than we would have done in three weeks. She was tactful and nonjudgmental about our choices, and she helped us make decisions where we tended to waver. She also provided her opinions readily when asked, and gave us the incentive and distance on the issue to keep us from getting bogged down in minutia. She packed many of our possessions for the move, and bagged and removed the donations and trash quickly where appropriate. I was feeling burdened by the task, and after Holly's services, I feel in control of the process at last. I will definitely employ Holly to help me organize my new place, and for any future move. I recommend her without reservation.
Description of Work: We are moving from a large townhouse to a co-op apartment. We had 40 years of stuff and rooms of extra furniture, and we faced a daunting downsizing and packing job. We needed help from someone not invested in our history in the old house to help guide us through the process.

+ -1 moreCannon Clutter Control is superb. My sisters and I moved our parents out of the house they had lived in for more than 40 years. We had to do it in a rush so boxes were packed without order or sense. When the movers finally brought them to the apartment it was overwhelming to see this mountain of cartons. Holly arrived early the next day. In hours she and her associate made that apartment into a home. The boxes and papers were taken away. It all seemed magical. The difference with Cannon Clutter is that the owner of the company actually does the work and is invested in the result. Other companies I called sent 'trained representatives'. No one could compare with the quality of work and the logical thought she offered in terms of placing plates and pans where my elderly parents could reach them and more. Cannon Clutter Control as I said before is superb. Five Star service.

Description of Work: Amazing magic happened in my landfill.. Cannon Clutter introduced me to table tops and bare floors where previously only boxes and junk piles held sway, Holly is tactful but ruthless when she asks if I really need 6 identical measuring cups. Combining two housefulls into one meant there was lots of duplication. That combined with sentimental value had me hogtied. We are early in the process, but now I am confident that I will have a truly liveable place when we get through.

+ -1 moreHolly was great from the moment I first spoke to her over the phone. She came out for a free consultation and created a plan with me on how to better use the main living space in my home. On the day of service we worked side by side organizing, moving furniture and she even vacuumed. I was so impressed that I asked Holly to come back and work with my daughter on her bedroom. Holly worked with my eight year old for hours on organizing, decluttering, and rearranging her room. The results were amazing and it changed my daughter's attitude toward keeping her room clean. Six months later, she is still talking about "Miss Holly" and keeping her room neat without any major arguments.

+ 0 moreHolly of Cannon Clutter Control did a great job working with us to identify our priorities and best approach to de-clutter and organize several areas or our home in preparation for a home sale. We started with a spare bedroom that had become a junk room plus all the upstairs walk-in closets which took the first day. Second day included the basement storage including sorting, downsizing and organizing the Christmas decorations which is job that we had meaning to do for several years. She then helped us with our kitchen pantry and cabinets. She organized everything into trash, donate or keep/store and really opened up some space in the rooms and listened to our needs. She was also respectful of items that had just sentimental value. Holly was punctual, thorough and even took the donate worthy items to several charities and mailed us the donation receipts. Cannon Clutter Control is highly recommended and we would hire her again.

+ -1 moreShe has made what seemed like an overwhelming job into a manageable process by attacking the clutter in a room-by-room manner. Although we are involved, holly could actually do most everything with us absent. She does it all including triaging things into donate, keep, toss, etc groups. She will also arrange removal of the 'toss' or 'donate' items doing much of it herself. Holly has a professional yet friendly approach that makes us feel like we are working with a member of our own family. We also note that she is certified with NAPO (Google it) as well. We recommend her highly.

Not only did she roll up her sleeves and pitched in doing the hard work, she kept me on target, focused and moving. It is only with her hard work that we were able to finish in the three days allotted. As others have mentioned in their review, Holly provides a complete service. She not only helped me sort the items that needed to be packed in order to de-clutter the house, but she also helped me identify items I wanted to donate and the things I just needed to trash. The result is a house that is ready to show and my future move more than half way completed. Of special note is her strategic partnership with various organizations that will accept donations -- organizations that I can fully support. I will look to call on her again as I finish preparing to move across country within the next couple of months.

+ 0 moreOur organizing session took about 7.5 hours, and we got through 2 closets and my drawers and desk. Holly was incredible nimble and swift in her organizing. She is quite skilled in using bags and boxes in creative ways, and making everything "fit" together. She both helped me both pack for college as well as leaving my room in probably the cleanest state it's ever been. She was very friendly and really took the lead in our session, doing most of the "work" and taking away trash with me as well as boxes to local charities. I would highly recommend her if you want someone down-to-earth to help you go through closets, bedrooms, bathrooms, trouble areas, etc. I am very much thinking of hiring her again for more help around the house. And at $60 an hour she is one of the most affordable organizers in our area (and I looked at a lot!). Highly recommended!

She is dependable and I have not found any organizing task that I have asked her to do that she was not extraordinary at. She is prompt and gets back to me if necessary.
