I am a shop at home business. I have been in business since 1987 and handle Hunter Douglas exclusively. My installer has been with me for 29 years. I have an extremely good eye for color and design and can make a complicated job easy and stress free. WE DO NOT DO REPAIRS UNLESS YOU BOUGHT THE BLINDS FROM US. Cost is determined by the job. Description of Work: Blinds for two bedrooms and the dining room were done after using a coupon for blinds for the living room. The work was done quickly and professionally but was more expensive than anticipated. I would only do this again in the future if I had another coupon to help mitigate the cost.

Description of Work: The service provider came and measured for blinds for four windows in my office. She advised me on color and on such issues as blind pulls, etc. A gentleman who contracts with her came some weeks later and installed the blinds. | |The one difficulty I encountered (granted it was during the holiday season) was that the agreed on date for installation came and went and I heard nothing. A week later I left a message asking when the blinds would be installed. Several days later the installer called and we set a date. | |When he came, he was very skilled and installed the blinds quickly and well. His work was flawless.

Description of Work: The vendor brought a catalogue with a selection of blonds to consider. Great selections and recommendations. We reviewed I ordered and gave a deposit check to hold. The vendor did not have invoices with her the day she came, Dec. 2. Instead, she wrote a draft on a sheet of paper and said she would send me the invoice. A week or so later, I called and left a message on their business phone requesting the invoice and checking on possibility of an earlier installation date. No response to that call. I would like to have received the invoice so I could shop and do cost comparisons. However, I note the deposit was held until after installation. I received a call to set installation date/time. The day of installation was our first day of snow. I understood that traveling was an issue for all. However, I did not receive a call to provide me with an update on the approximate arrival. Prior to the arrival of the installer I phoned Ellen, the owner, to check on the number for the installer and again ask her about the invoice. She said she had been away for several days and would put it in the mail today. The appointment was 10:00, at 10:40 I called to check on the status. The installer told me he was stuck on the road for 3 + hours and just getting to 1st appointment. Understandable but I wish I had received a courtesy call to give me an update. He did arrive 2 hours later - polite and thorough. The first window blind was not what i expected, but I went with it because of time. The balcony set of blinds were fine. He was courteous and efficient. Would I recommend - I would only suggest to make sure you get a copy of the invoice ahead of time so you can check on what you are ordering - that it is what you desire and of course, compare the cost. And request a courtesy call on the day of installation if there are delays.

First, I am glad the customer liked the blinds we selected for the patio. As for the shade for the dining area: I showed the customer exactly what she was getting. I explained the way the installation would be done. She liked everyrhing about the shade. If not I would not have proceeded with the selection or the sale. As for the invoice. Yes, I ran out of invoices in my pad and wrote out an invoice on a piece of paper the exact same way it would have been written on the formal invoice. The customer did not ask for any additional information. She was quite pleased with everything when I left. This is the first time I have heard about my installer coming late. He should have called the customer BUT we all know what happens when driving around in the traffic and the snow and being up against a time schedule. Most people are quite forgiving when it comes to these kinds of situations. If you look at the grades I was given by this customer she was pleased. I try to make everyone happy but sometimes that is not possible. I have been in business since 1987 and have an excellent track record which I am confident will continue. I thank everyone for their business and referrals.
