Anthony Restoration of Tysons

I needed assistance with my basement being flooded. Given the urgency of the situation, this company coerced me into signing a "blanket contract" with no estimate and promptly started conducting work in my basement, including ripping out carpeting and wall paneling. They did not provide any status on how/when the work would be complete and what the associated expense would be. They certainly have taken advantage of the elderly in this case as I am 83 and have now sent me an invoice for $15,999.03 for "water mitigation services". They were also not responsive to my inquiries and wouldn't tell me (or my family) when they would arrive, what subsequent work they would conduct, what the timeframes were etc. It seems they have had numerous complaints of similar practices in their Yelp! reviews. You will also note that this company writes back stating to the other rated 1 reviews signed a "certificate of completion" but when they said this to me I refused as their work was not completed.

Met with Brian, he did a great job helping me to remediate water damage in my basement. He was very busy which led him to miss our scheduled appointment time a few times. My only concern was that they were very reluctant to give an estimate of cost for the project because of the nature of water remediation. So if you want to compare prices for contractors, it is impossible. I did get an estimate with many caveats, and the final cost was more than double the estimate. Brian was very knowledgeable and great to work with.

My husband and I contacted Restoration1 of Tysons when our new home flooded back in early September. I called in a panic unsure what to do, and ended up speaking to Brian Vent, the owner of the Tysons location. He immediately put me at ease with his personable and friendly tone, his calm professionalism, and quick responsiveness. He promised to come by our house personally that evening, and then showed up when he said he would. That initial introduction set the tone for all our interactions with him and his staff, Kyle and Jason, as we progressed through the remediation process. They were at our house every day to check on the drying process and answer our questions. Brian was great about walking us through our dealings with our home insurance company, not to mention was a useful resource of knowledge throughout. Despite being the company owner and very busy with floods all over the area, Brian never made us feel rushed and the quality and attention he paid to our home assured us we were in the right hands - so much so that at least two of our immediate neighbors contracted remediation services with him, based on our recommendation. Restoration1 ended up finding asbestos when they pulled up our damaged carpet, but they put us in touch with a great asbestos abatement company who will be here to finish the job shortly. In conclusion, we would whole-heartedly recommend Brian and Restoration1 of both Tysons and Loudoun, as he owns both, for your remediation needs. As soon as he got involved, his knowledge, responsiveness, professionalism, and personable service set our first-time homeowners' minds at ease.
