AFFORDABLE LAWN SPRINKLERS & LIGHTING

From beginning to end our experience with Affordable Lawn Sprinklers and Lighting was excellent. Our system was installed on time and with amazingly little disruption to our lawn and landscape beds. Everything worked correctly the first time and the walk-through provided by the technician several weeks after installation was thorough and complete. We are thrilled with our irrigation system and will recommend Affordable Lawn Sprinklers to our neighbors and friends.

I have to say that every bit of the experience of working with Affordable Lawn and Sprinklers has been top notch! When my wife and I bought our house last year ('17) and we knew we wanted to get a sprinkler system but admittedly knew nothing about what that entailed. Well the "no-pressure" guidance and advice coupled with a very reasonable price (we had 3 quotes) made the decision to go with Affordable a No Brainer! We have even recommended them to our neighbors and would recommend anyone looking to put in a sprinkler system to work with the folks at Affordable Lawn Sprinklers.

I was referred to Affordable Sprinkler by a landscaping firm I used to install sod in our front and back yard. Called for an appointment and Joe showed up on time, did a walk-a-round and gave me an estimate which seemed reasonable after having talked to neighbors and friends with systems. Installation was a couple weeks later. The crew showed up on time and worked straight through and installed the entire system in one day. They set the system to the default settings (3x per week) until another representative could come by and show me all the features and functionality. He spent a good hour to an hour-and-a-half showing me each setting and testing each zone to make sure the heads were properly set. They are a great company to work with and I highly recommend them.

We have used this company for many years and in the past have always had professional, responsive service for our installation and maintenance of our irrigation systems for two different houses. This year when we called to schedule our Spring turn on we were told it would be four weeks. I asked if we could be scheduled if someone cancelled and that option was not available. Very disappointed in the lack of response for a long time customer that has often referred clients to this company. In this period of no rain, it has been very costly to our landscape and yard. Perhaps this company has just taken on too many clients to provide the customer service needed to succeed.

Technicians are both punctual and professional. They are eager to assist and are very knowledgeable. I asked for a scheduling adjustment and that was accommodated in a very responsive and satisfactory manner.

System works great, installed on time and made adjustments as necessary. All went well.

This was a great experience - all the consultation was done via phone/email and the installation was completed as planned. We had several lights installed in the front for curb appeal/safety at night. Additionally, we had one light installed in the back and they even fixed our deck step lights to be on the same timer as everything else. A week after installation they have someone come out to make sure everything is working properly and set up to our liking. My husband and I are very pleased with the result.

Everything went well and very satisfied with results. Also, had them perform winter and spring service since install. Extremely reliable!

I obtained several estimates from various contractors. ALS was very competitive in pricing. They were not the most expensive, yet not the cheapest. They provided more service(s) then most of their competition regarding a lawn irrigation system. Their customer service was outstanding. I worked primarily with Ryan & Joe Clemmons. Both were very responsive to all questions, calls, etc. They showed up on time for all scheduled appointments, did the job on time - just as advised/scheduled, and followed up timely for a walk-through. The install team was efficient, and damage to the lawn was limited. The onsite Project Manager was very responsive to all question/concerns during installation. Overall experience with ALS has been excellent. Would highly recommend ALS.

We have used Affordable for years with great results. We started with accent lighting and a sprinkler system years ago and recently we updated both when we completed a new addition and landscaping plan. Awesome! Their staff (especially Werner) are great to work with and cared about our home. My wife and I are Realtors and always recommend them to our clients.

The service was great. Before the sales representative came out, I was given a rough estimate of how much it would cost for the whole yard. After I agreed with that ballpark, the sales representative came out and gave a detailed inspection and answered all questions regarding the installation and general options. The install took a day with minimal damage to the yard. The sprinklers also have a rain sensor where the sprinklers won't come on if rain is detected to not waste water. The sprinkler system covers every bit of the yard with a digital timer so no more moving and dragging sprinklers to water the yard. It wasn't the cheapest quote, but Affordable Lawn Sprinklers and Lighting was the most professional and detailed company we went through helping us and answering questions every step of the way.

They were on time for each appointment and the finished system works great. Twenty minutes after they left, I called the technician with an issue/question on one of the sprinkler heads and he immediately returned to my house to address my issue. Great service.

Everyone we have dealt with at Affordable Lawn Sprinklers and Lighting has been fantastic. They are very responsive, and able to address our questions and concerns. They provided drawings of their proposed work, and explained the process to us ahead of time. Work began sooner than anticipated and went smoothly. Everyone was extremely personable and professional. We are so pleased with both the landscaping lighting and sprinkler system they installed. Would highly recommend them!

All went perfectly. The team arrived on time and worked throughout the day with little disruption to our family. Our lawn was already established and the crew did an excellent job of installing the equipment with little disruption to the grass and shrubs. All sod was replaced and you can hardly tell that the system was installed. Our walk-through a week later was very informative. The system is easy to use. I highly recommend Affordable!

Any problem we had, they would address.

Overall, it's a ripoff. I was told that the first serviceman was one of their best. So its not that I received someone who is inexperienced or incapable in their view. I contacted them to receive a comp and informed them my main concern was that nothing was accomplished. There was an entire Zone that was not working an never mentioned by the first serviceman. In short, if that first serviceman is their best and trusted advisor Affordable is not to be trusted for completeness and quality. Cost me a huge water bill!

Very Well. The work was done quickly and professionally (about 6 hours from start to finish to install the whole system and perform the clean-up). The clean-up was effective. I made the final payment once we scheduled the full walkthrough, and as part of this activity, the two items on my follow-up list were addressed without any issues. The plumbing installation was approved by the Fairfax County inspector with no issues. While this isn't meant to be a criticism of the company, my lesson learned is, as lawn irrigation system implementation involves a lot of trenching work in your yard which does tear up parts of the yard, you should really schedule this activity around the time you plan to perform any lawn restoration for the year (as I found myself patching some areas again that I patched in the Spring).

I was kept updated throughout the process leading up to the installation and everything went as planned. The large crew arrived around 7:45 and got everything done by early afternoon. Everyone was very nice, worked hard and cleaned up well when they were done. Last week, Kiki came to me house and went through all the settings and got all of the zones set up using the Rachio app on my cell phone. It's amazing. So glad I got that! I highly recommend Affordable Lawn Sprinklers.

Affordable pulled the necessary permits for a three zone, approx. 0.30-acre total yard install - the crew showed up on time and took approx. 4 hours from start to finish. The line to my internet service was cut by mistake, which was honestly not surprising if you saw where and how the line was originally placed. They quickly apologized and ensured everything was coordinated to get my internet service back up and running. I was expecting the yard to get a little torn up during install but the lines are barely detectable. A few weeks later they came back a few weeks later to make sure I was happy with everything – he inspected all of the sprinkler heads, showed and explained in detail how to use the system and how to change the settings for seasonal changes in weather, timers, etc. and also went through winterization and the best times to schedule for it. The total price was within our budget and we are very happy with how the system has performed so far. I would highly recommend this company to my friends and family.

Easy to work with, excellent install and great price compared to competitors. They helped us layout the sprinkler system and lighting, pointing out some factors that my wife and I had not considered on our own to develop a great design. They allowed us to reschedule the install to accommodate some unanticipated tree removal and landscaping that we wanted to take care of before the install. The install went smoothly and then a rep came out to walk us through the system's use, fine-tuning our watering needs (e.g. adjusting timing for sun vs. shade, angle of spray ...).

Although I stated both needs when I called for service, the technician didn't come with a rain sensor, and told me they would be in touch. Weeks later, I'd given up on hearing from them when I got a call that they'd like to come do it that day. Frankly, I think it was just forgotten until they wondered why they hadn't billed me yet.

The installation was suburb from beginning to end. The crew arrived on time and all of them worked as a synchronized team to get the job done in one day. Oh by the way, it was 100 degrees that day. The team lead walked us around the system from where the water line linked into the sprinkler system to where all the sprinkler heads, valves and sprinkler lines would be placed. I could not have asked for a smoother installation. I will use affordable Lawn Sprinklers & Lighting again and will recommend them to my family and friends.

If you want it done right the first time, hire these folks. We had rodent damage to our landscape lighting. A local electrician identified the wiring problems, but gave up on fixing it. Affordable came out, on time, and further identified both the problem(s) and provided a rodent resistant fix, all in less than an hour. All for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend this company.

I had tried to have my previous company fix the rain sensor several times and they were unable to do it. Once Affordable came out they found the problem and fixed it immediately. They also were able to determine the problem with the zone that wasn't working quickly and fixed it. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of both the office staff and the techs that showed up at my home. They called ahead as requested, showed up on time and were extremely knowledgeable about the system even though it was their first time at my home. Their pricing was a bit higher than what I was used to paying BUT they were able to solve the problems where the other company couldn't do it
