Description of Work: Had to file a complaint with the BBC. This company is the reason I joined Angie's List. They painted the neighbors chimney using up a bunch of the paint then said I didn't have enough. Refunded me 50 bucks for mine then refused to fix the neighbors.

 + -1 moreThe quality of the workmanship was outstanding. Not to mention they showed up when they said and left the area very clean. I'd recommend them wholeheartedly.
Description of Work: Brick repair of chimney. Outstanding quality work. Appeared on time and they left area very clean. I also contracted for them to do some general masonry work which is not under this category, but they performed equally well doing that as they did repairing my chimney.

 + -1 moreI scheduled to have my fireplace and chimney inspected and cleaned by Johnson Chimney Service and certified so we could have gas logs installed. We agreed on a window of 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM to have the work performed. On the day of service the chimney sweep did not show up during the four hour window. I called the company at 3:30 PM, an hour and a half after the time the man was supposed to arrive. No one had called me from the company during this time to explain what was going on. The receptionist contacted the chimney sweep and after apologizing for the delay, rescheduled the appointment for 4:30 - 5:30 PM on the same day. Again the chimney sweep did now show up or call to explain what was going on. Finally an hour later, at 6:30 PM the chimney sweep finally called to say that he was not far away and was ready to do the job. This was the first contact we had with this individual. After waiting for this gentleman for eight and a half hours and not one phone call from him and after breaking two appointments in one day, I cancelled his service call. This was one of the worst and rudist examples of poor service I have ever experienced. There is no excuse for this lack of communication in this day of cell phones and instant communications for treating a customer with such rudeness. I would not recommend Johnson Chimney Service to anyone.

 + -1 moreThey were extremely professional, showed up right on time. Their estimates were actually lower than we thought so if we could give them A++ for price, that's what we would give them. When they came, they were extremely quick and efficient. They installed it perfectly and cleaned up after themselves. They put down stuff so they didn't get any type of dirt in the house. It almost seemed cleaner after they left than when they arrived. We loved the wood burning stove so much that we're having one installed in our other fireplace.
Description of Work: Johnson Chimney Service installed the wood burning fireplace that we bought.
