Scott and his team did a semi-difficult installation in our basement and did a beautiful job. There were difficult angles, laundry area, and a utility room that he sequentially installed the flooring into and it is seamless. At the same time he did a "tread cap" on the stairs that used to be carpet. The treads are beautiful, fit square and quiet as a church mouse. They did a super job with clean-up, performing the job on time and without any excuses. We are very please with the entire job, it looks great and was reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to recommend Scott and Vista Construction Group to anyone.

We had a lot of work done with a number of adjustments/modifications along the way. At times, I had my concerns about how everything was going to turn out, but in the end, it really all did come together very nicely. Our master bath is truly exceptional and the kitchen really looks fantastic.

Work performed was of the highest quality. The staff was prompt, courteous and sensitive to the care of my home and work schedule. The choice of colors and materials exceeded expectations. When asked to do a punch list, I could not find a single thing to comment that could be performed better. They came in below budget and Scott kept in touch throughout the whole project to make sure everything was meeting my expectation and if there was anything I would like done differently. I would highly recommend them to anryone who needs any type of home remodel. I plan to use them in the future.

They did a good job in trying to match as close as possible the broken tile and it looks very good. Painting outside long front porch and partially paint an outside shed came out very well too. The tile grouting needed a second visit and they took care of it promptly even though they had planned scheduled appointments with other customers.

It went really well once I was in contact with Scott Baranek at Vista Properties of Virginia. I contacted several companies to see about getting the work done. Most of those simply said that the job was too small. One company gave me an estimate which I thought was too costly. Scott scheduled an appointment and came to my home to give me an estimate. Once here he started asking questions about what we would really like to do. I told him that we would really like to do a remodel but that I didn't think it would be affordable. After I gave him my ideas for what we would like to have, he gave me ideas that would accomplish our overall goals without breaking the bank. He then told me that he would work up a written estimate and get back to me. He did that very promptly. I accepted the price and scheduled the work. After that everything went better than I could have imagined. Before the scheduled work was to have started, my wife and I were called out of town and would need to postpone. I called Scott and he told me "No problem! " , a response that I would continue to hear, as I made additions and changes throughout the process. Overall I could not be more pleased with the work performed. The first day of the job Scott and his team (Becca, Diane, Sam and Tom) showed up on time and ready to go. They were friendly and professional. It was a pleasure to have them in our home. We will most certainly contact Vista Properties first, for future needs.

We just relocated and purchased a home so we were totally starting from scratch in an unfamiliar area. A couple of the top rated contractors on Angie's for our area were completely unresponsive - we're actually thankful for that because that led us to Vista. Scott contacted us immediately and was quickly over for an estimate. His guidance was invaluable - not an "up sell" but a totally honest evaluation of what should be done. He helped us with a beautiful new design of our kitchen and honestly tried to save us money wherever possible. He assisted with the appliances, cabinets, counter tops, flooring, paint (in all rooms) - you name it, he was there to help. When things came up, which they always do, he had options that always fit into the budget. Scott and his crew really care about their work and helping their customers. We really couldn't be happier with the outcome of the project and will absolutely be calling upon Scott and his fantastic team for all our future work. They do it all and do it with integrity, pride and responsiveness. As far as we are concerned they should be #1 on Angie's.

I could not have found a better home improvement contractor. Scott is a highly motivated individual. When you have question he responds immediately, no waiting around. High quality work at a good price. Very professional and eager to please. Provided ideas on things we hadn't thought about. Job was for framing, drywall, painting and trim of a bonus room over top our garage. I would highly recommend this contractor for any home improvement job.

The entire project took less than a month. The actual physical work took a few weeks, but because I special-ordered the vanity, it took just under a month to get everything installed.

At our initial meeting, Scott gave us lots of ideas for the renovation. He gave us options we had never even considered, gave an estimate of the money it would cost, and an estimate of when the job would begin and end. The estimates of both money and time were right on target. He and his workers are very knowledgeable and very hard workers. I don't think you can come up with a problem that Scott does not have a solution for when it comes to remodeling.

Scott recently completed a new bathroom addition for us out of an empty space. It was beautiful and very modern with additions that included a rainshower and Bluetooth speaker. He pays close attention to detail and quality.

Vista provided their estimate in the format required by the insurance company and made the repair process as painless as possible. They repaired the walls, ceiling, wood trim, etc., quickly, and with as littles mess as possible. All staff were professional and considerate. While they were there we had them do additional work to install a drop down ladder access to our attic, replace some light fixtures and add an electrical outlet. They did an excellent job from start to finish and completed the work in a timely manner.

Terrific. I could not have selected a better company or gotten a better job done. I would highly recommend them to anyone and certainly have them come back for future remodeling jobs. You can basically tell them what you want, walk away, and have them tell you when it's done and you will be more than pleased.

Outstanding! Scott returned my voicemail to him immediately and came by my home within hours to review the work to be performed in order to give an estimate. From the onset, he was professional, knowledgeable and personable. He responded with a written price quote within 24-48 hours. He set up an appointment to perform the work to coincide with my schedule. He maintained email and text mail contact to confirm the appointment and arrived at the time he said he would begin. Scott pays attention to detail and was meticulous. Without reservation, I will hire him again and I highly recommend that you contact him for your projects. He is a fair and honest man. Scott initially came out to personally inspect what we had done and what needed to be completed. He came up with a plan and price quote and had it to us later that evening. Within a couple of days of the go ahead, he and his crew came and dropped off the drywall one morning. A crew came the next day and worked faster than I nthught possible. After dry time, they came back to finish muddling and whatever all else it is that they do. Scott personally showed up towards the end to inspect and put the final coat of paint on. We were very comfortable leaving him at the house working while we were not there for one reason or another. The job site was left clean and the job done promptly and very well. We already have additional jobs that we would like this company to do for us.

We have used Scott Beranek and his team from Vista Properties of Virginia for a couple of home projects and have been completely satisfied. Scott is very professional, knowledgeable, honest, courteous, prompt, reliable and extremely efficient. In addition, Scott is very responsive in returning telephone calls, texts, emails and has been very flexible in scheduling. Both Scott and the Vista team thoroughly explained all of the work they were contracted to complete and also discussed any future work that may have been needed. Our first project was one that had been looked at by many contractors and only Vista was able to complete the work to our complete satisfaction. Our next project was a complete power washing and staining of both our screened-in and regular deck and the assembly and installation of a Hunter ceiling fan which was accomplished by Tom Burrows who is another very knowledgeable professional on the Vista team. We unequivocally give our highest recommendation to Scott and the Vista team.

He removed the soffit, which all of the other contractors said was "off-limits" to give me more height below the cabinets for my appliances. Work was started daily on time and the kitchen area was fully enclosed so as to minimize dust in other areas of the house. I have been extremely pleased with the results. My kitchen is much more efficient now.

Now five months later, we are still pleased with the work performed by Vista Properties. Mr. Beranek is very knowledgeable and gave us many suggestions on how to care for and maintain our house in the best possible way. Additionally, he is very punctual and does not waste a moment of time in completing the project. This is the third time we have asked Vista Properties to do work for us and undoubtedly there will be more.

This is my 2nd review for Scott & Vista Properties. I said I would try them again and I did. So glad! The first time was NOT a fluke! Scott is attentive, helpful, prompt, and so much more. He instills trust immediately because he's always true to his word. Cost was a concern for me and Scott made sure my budget was his concern too. The flooring I ordered wasn't enough. Scott took care of the order with Home Depot for me and had it expedited. No worries if he'd come back to finish the job - he was "johnny on the spot." The biggest and most wonderful surprise was when I looked at the bathroom once completed and he and/or his associate had gone into the garage, found the correct paint, and took care of the wall where the former (and much larger) mirror had been as well as the splash guard area that was removed during the remodel. We had not talked about that at all yet Scott saw to it that the job was 100%, not just his 99%. I have plans to do more work in my home in 2016 and i assure you Scott and Vista Properties is getting my business again. You will not regret hiring Vista Properties, I promise.

offers Scott (Beranek) just left my house literally minutes ago and the first thing I did was run to my laptop to enter a review in Angie's List. I've never done that before. Ever. That's how good Visa Properties LLC and Scott are! Need a handyman/home repair services from time to time. I needed handicap bars put in my shower for a visit being made by my aging parents. I had procrastinated because I had no idea of who I could get to install them properly, and that alone intimidated me. Time ran out so when at Home Depot to purchase the bars, I went to their service desk to inquire about arranging for someone to do the work. Scott just happened to be standing behind me when I was talking to the home depot employee. He (Scott) was recommended by the home depot employee, who said I couldn't find anyone better. Having heard those words before, I was skeptical but needed the work done immediately so I took a chance. I will never get anyone else but Vista Properties to do work for me. Scott was busy on a large job and I work in Washington DC'; our schedules for getting this accomplished within 48 hours could have been an issue. Not for Scott! He was willing - and I do mean willing - to take care of me and we agreed to a 6 pm meet time. Not only did Scott faithfully communicate with me via text messages, I ended up keeping him waiting! He showed up 30 minutes early and yet wasn't upset when I hadn't quite gotten off the train yet. He has a great personality, exhibits outstanding professionalism, offers a level of customer service rarely seen in home improvement/handyman type situations, and, most important of all, he,was true to his word every step of the way. Even my overly protective dog stopped barking and let him work in peace. Now when your dog gives his/her "good housekeeping seal of approval", well... need I say more? You will not go wrong hiring Scott or his company. I already have plans to hire him again for home improvements I never thought I could afford to do. His excellent workmanship is matched only by his fair and affordable pricing. Scott and Vista Properties LLC have my business 100%!

He doesn't stay in touch with you. He doesn't return calls until you tell him that you are calling another contractor. Does not keep promises. Takes large deposits. Does not do the work. Promises refunds but doesn't deliver. Breaks agreements arbitrarily. Work is poor and needs to be done. Doe not do what the customer wants.
