house cleaning
+ -1 moreAwful. Unprofessional, dim, incompetent and greedy. Clearly not up to the task, but wanted the money and took on the job. We explained what we wanted and when I called to inquire about why the house was a disaster, I was given the explanation that one of the girls was new, and she was the one that did all of upstairs. So, a new, untrained person was sent to clean an entire floor and was not checked?
Description of Work: We were assured by the owner that they could provide housekeeping services on a weekly basis. My husband took a day off of work to show where things are, how we want things done, and what product is used to clean which thing. This is not a difficult job, a small townhouse, two busy professionals, and weekly maintenance. But the level of incompetence was amazing. Some things were simply not done, a coffee table clearly unwiped, a giant hair ball in the bathtub, nothing tidied up. The guest rooms were not even walked into. Some things were done using incorrect products. Lots of things were put into drawers and cupboards where they clearly did not belong. A shocking amount of things were broken and then put back, like maybe we wouldn't notice that my husband's electric shaver is in pieces or that our Dyson is in chunks. Additionally, while not bothering to do their job, they took it upon themselves to go through our things. A beautiful Russian nesting doll that my husband brought back from Moscow was taken apart, not put back together, and a piece was lost, perhaps somewhere inside the broken Dyson. They left no note, and just took off. Since they clearly couldn't do "housekeeping" we decided to give them another chance and keep them on a bi-weekly basis. They didn't understand what "come every other Thursday" meant and just didn't show up. We had weekend guests coming, and were desperate so allowed them to reschedule for Friday and they didn't show up either.
