Starting from the phone call to the office the staff was eager to assist but in a good way not in an overbearing we want to sell you something way. I received the qoute within a day and scheduled the service for the next day. The technicians arrived early, installed, and cleaned every bit of mess they made. They were professional and allowed me to ask questions along the way. I will definitely be calling them for my HVAC replacement in the fall!

The Tech and Secretary were great understanding my problem. They were very knowledgeable efficient prompt caring of my concerns and courteous. The tech worked with me because I had to pick up my husband from Respite care at a certain time. I would recommend this company to anyone, anytime. Thanks Nelson for being there.

The technician did a great job yet initially I was not certain but boy was I wrong. I had to leave for work prior to the job being completed and when I got home I noticed a wire sticking out of my HVAC unit which had not been there previously. I called to inquire and was still unsure when the tech related that it was suppose to look like that. The next day the technician Jake and the owner came back to my home and explained to me in person just why the motor was installed in that manner. It will prevent an electrical short which I had actually experienced in the past. They were so kind and PATIENT with my questions and concerns. I could not be more appreciative and impressed! Truly exceptional work and customer service!

We have a annual maintenance plan with Nelson's. Our furnace was malfunctioning and we called for service. They were here within an hour. Technicians were extremely knowledgeable and we able to resolve problem within 15 minutes (loose wiring). As part of our maintenance plan, we were not charged for service call. We have been very please with Nelson's professionalism, courtesy, knowledge and service.

Unbelievable service! Most painless, least disruptive major install in my experience as a homeowner. The guys were professional and polite; just put their head down and did an outstanding installation. It was an emergency job (heat pump went out on Friday night, so had to wait through the weekend... brrr) but they got the unit and got it installed as soon as humanly possible (many thanks to Katie for her "persuasiveness"). The unit is quiet, heat the house very evenly and I know it's going to save money on my heating bill. The new heat pump also included a programmable thermostat, something I should have had a long time ago. The price was quite a bit below another local competitor with a reputation for quality, but I liked Nelson's for their no-pressure/just-good-information approach and trustworthy character. It's so hard to find great contractors these days. I'm so happy to put Nelson Heating & Cooling on my permanent "refrigerator list!" Great job!

Was able to get a same day appointment. Aaron and Craig promptly diagnosed the problem and efficiently completed the repair within 15 minutes. They are knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. Katie, who scheduled our appointment, was also a pleasure to work with.

During a seasonal inspection/maintenence, Aaron discovered an issue with a circuit causing our fan to continuously blow or not respond appropriately. He attempted to rectify the problem but found a new mother board was required. He obtained the part & returned to fix it within hours. During the interim period, he provided a "fix" to keep us warm. Both Aaron & Katie were professional, attentive to details and helpful. Absolutely outstanding!! We have lived in Williamsburg for many years and will NEVER use anyone else but Nelson Bros.

Excellent service. The technicians Aaron and Craig answered all my questions, were very thorough and professional. Explained in detail what they were doing. I consider the price extremely fair for the work that was performed. And this cost covers a second visit later in the year for the heating unit. I will definitely continue to use them for any HVAC work I require, and I will recommend them.

Let me start by saying I had an urgent situation a week ago. Water was streaming down from the second floor. Having just purchased this townhouse, I wasn't sure what was going on. My neighbors came to help, and told me to call Nelson's for assistance, as it was my air conditioner. I called the office, told them about the water leaking down, and they sent a technician here within 10 minutes. They identified the problem, cleaned out the system and explained in detail what had occurred. As it was an urgent situation, there was additional work that needed to be done on a follow-up call. Today, they completed the rest of the work. Again, very professional and thorough. I would highly recommend them.

For the scope of work, just about everything went as well as could be hoped. The crew arrived on time, the installation was spectacular, the care and regard to the home during the installation was unbelievable, the clean up was excellent, every individual (on site, in the office, and on the telephone) was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. The only problem arose during the installation of the thermostats. While both units worked from a manual perspective, we encountered some difficulty activating the wi-fi registration and operation. One unit turned out to be defective and the other one encountered a problem with the manufacturer's website that not even the manufacturer's rep could fix. The Nelson crew came out the next day with a new thermostat and within an hour both units were operating both manually from within the house and via wi-fi remotely from different sites. The crew chief refused to take any money until the entire job was completed to our satisfaction.

Excellent!!! Work and efforts were meticulous. Nelson's representatives were clean, courteous and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and were very detailed oriented in all aspects of their efforts.

Technician Jeremy performed all of the tasks listed above in detail while providing knowlegeable answers to a myriad of questions about equipment performance. Most previous service technicians have a been helpful with technical information but Nelson's technician, Jeremy, stands out as thorough, knowledgeable and willing to provide detailed information that surely would qualify as an engineering seminar on heat transfer. Time will tell, of course, but I confidently recommend Nelson's HVAC and technical Jeremy.

Aaron and another technician (I'm sorry I don't remember his name) showed up 10 minutes early for our scheduled appt. They were very personable and professional. They immediately went to work. We had purchased a NEST thermostat and needed some additional assistance with installation. They knew exactly what to do. They scrubbed and cleaned and now the HVAC looks brand new. I could immediately smell a difference in the house and the garage. A system maintenance check was performed for the heating portion of the unit.. They discussed installing an air scrubber filtration system for the house as we have cats and some sinus issues and I had them do the installation. They didn't have the unit with them so one of the other technicians delivered it to the house while they were still working. They explained everything they were doing and how everything operates. These two gentlemen were a joy to work with. It is obvious that they really like what they do and they are very good at it. I am going to go with their yearly maintenance program. I highly recommend this company. Best HVAC customer service experience we have ever had.

This malfunctioned twice, causing a small flood in our newly refinished basement. The first time they replaced the pump; the second time it was one of those bitterly cold days and the line froze, even though it was properly insulated. The second time they charged us minimally. This is a local, family owned business. We had a problem with our air conditioner right after we moved in in 2013, an called them. Then our contractor used them for the heating/cooling system for our basement finishing job, so we plan to stick with them. I have now met all the brothers, and I have liked the personal connection as well as prompt response, good repair and reasonable prices.

They arrived when they said they would and did their usual superb job. I really trust this business.

They did a very good job. The did exactly what they said they would. They were prompt and professional while at my home and I would recommend them to others.

Nelson's was terrific getting someone out to us the same day--they keep people working until the calls are finished each day. Aaron, the youngest tech was phenomenal so I can hardly imagine the abilities and experience of the rest of the staff. Aftter minutes looking at my unit Aaron knew it was either the capacitor or a fan motor--and he had both in the truck. He changed out the capacitor first (the lower cost item) and cooled down the fan with my hose which then worked too--he could have just said the fan was burned out because it was so hot but he didn't. Once the unit was working again he noticed the fan was not blowing evenly and how clogged our coils were. It took him at least a half an hour to clean out the built up mess.Then he discovered an area of the unit that had never been checked by other technicians which had another layer of black sludge. He scraped that off, we got new filters where they should be and he sealed off the old filter space that was wasting our cold air. Aaron was terrific finding one way after another to improve our efficiency and took readings for later comparison. Did we get the maintenance contract--you bet. With assistance like this my penny pinching husband and I recognized we would easily save that money back and the peace of mind is great. Best part is--I now have Nelson's on speed dial!

Work crew showed up on time on the date promised. Removed the old unit from the attic, installed the new unit and inspected all the duct work. They did a thorough cleanup and then spent 30 minutes going over the use of the system and how to use the programmable thermostat. After they had me inspect their work and answered all my questions, I paid them and they were on their way. Except for the cooler temperature from the new unit, their was no evidence of them ever being there. A few days later, I received a call from them asking me if we had any issues with the unit and if we were satisfied with their work. 2 months later, I noticed water staining on the ceiling all around an AC vent and was sure the insulation on the ductwork was loose and condensation was dripping in the attic and down into our bedroom. They came out immediately and after inspecting everything, they brought me up into the attic to show me where a plumbing vent boot on the roof had broken directly above the duct vent and rain was coming into the attic through a 3 inch hole in the roof. Not only didn't they charge me for the service call, they located a contractor who could do the repair quickly and put me in touch with him.

I got an annual contract I pay for. They replaced a humidifier element, checked everything, and changed the filters. They do it twice a year. I give them high ratings and will continue to use them.

They are local and that helped a little bit. Their price was good. I had used them before for a different system and so I used them again. They were two of them and they were fine. They showed up when they said they were going to and everything was fine. They are a good company to keep in mind when comparing with others and they are not that significantly different in terms of their professionalism and so on. Their price is the most attractive thing and that's why I went with them. I would use them again in the future if need be.
