Great, I had additional questions about a faucet repair and Chris advised me to call the manufacture to get the parts under warranty. I appreciated his honesty and that he didn't try to up sell me. The toilet repair was quick and no mess left behind. I will definitely call again for any plumbing needs. On a side note, the office personnel were helpful, friendly and accommodating when I called to schedule my appointment.

INITIAL VISIT Chris was friendly and courteous and seems to genuinely enjoy helping people solve their plumbing problems. The shutoff valve was replaced quickly and installed much better than the original. The work area was also thoroughly cleaned. A sagging natural gas line was noticed during the job and the problem fixed by adding a few hangers. Chris listened to and patiently answered all my hot water heater questions. As a result of our discussion we decided to replace our 19yr old State unit with a State Proline XE unit. Installation was scheduled four days later to accommodate our schedule -- note our old unit was still functioning. SECOND VISIT The old hot water heater was removed and hauled away. The new unit was installed. A new ball valve shutoff was added, as was a new catch pan and drain under the unit. Once again Chris left the work area cleaner than he found it. He also took the time to make sure we understood how the settings worked on the new unit before he left. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work, and the professionalism Chris provided. I highly recommend using this plumber.

There’s nothing that I didn’t like. The guy’s name was Chris. He came as promised, evaluated the work that we needed done and took care of it without any issues. He did it in a timely matter and he was flexible enough to let me add on a few separate jobs for him while he was there. Everything was good.

Woah, these guys went the extra mile. I had no previous pressure reducing valve so the main water line had to be shutoff to my house. Unfortunately I didn't know where the city shutoff was located on my property. Chris was undeterred and spent way more time that I would have expected hunting for the city water shutoff. Unsuccessful, he had us call the city to come find it. At this point any other company would have come back another day, but Chris waited for the city to come out and locate the water shutoff. Installation after that was a breeze, but wow I've never seen such dedication from a company before. I don't do many reviews, but this is one I am happy to write-up.

I had several issues I had "let go" for a long time. Chris checked out all of my concerns and repaired everything. He replaced my kitchen faucet with one in stock that he recommended. Its very nice and around $15 less than the same model at retailers I shopped around at. Very punctual and professional.

Chris replaced our kitchen faucet, found a leak in our garbage disposal, replaced the disposal and removed our water filtration system that we no longer need. Efficient and well done.

Same day response to an apparent blockage in our toilet and shower. As it turned out, it was not a blockage but our electric pump was not working. It was not plugged in. Chris waived part of the fee. He was very nice and professional.

Chris was wonderful. He explained everything he was doing and why while exploring the problem and was VERY thorough. He was able to provide a temporary fix (YEAH HOT WATER!!!) while he works out how much it's going to cost to fix it permanently. He is also working with my Condo Association Management Company to fix the issue AND he called me the next day to ensure that he did not need to come back to undo the temporary fix and that I was satisfied with the solution so far. I will be recommending him to EVERYONE and will likely work with him to fix the tile in my bathroom as well.

Great job overall by C & G. This was a short notice job and the installer extended his workday to accommodate us. I've installed disposals before but this time I also wanted to replace the drain and thought it best to use a professional. I removed the old disposal and drain and C & G had the new unit installed in about 45 minutes. Incidentally, the new unit is an Insinkerator Evolution model, purchased from Lowe's. We couldn't be happier with the work that was done, and I wouldn't hesitate to use C & G in the future. We were also given a five percent discount for using Angie's List.

Saturday morning and my husband goes down to his workshop in the basement. He is back within the minute and asks for towels as our pipes are shooting water all over. After calling our home warranty company and finding out that it will be Monday before they can send anyone over, I start my Angie's List search. I found C&G called and asked if it was possible for an emergency service. Nancy was wonderful! She told me that Chris would be available but could not commit to a time at that moment because he was finishing up another job, could she callback in about 1/2 hour. After 45 minutes she called and apologized for keeping me waiting, he was not done on the previous job and she did not want me to think that she was blowing me off! Ten minutes later she called and gave me a time, he was on the minute and worked quite a while, kept my husband in the loop as to what our issue was al about, made some suggestions, got us safe for the rest of the weekend, and said he would be back on Wednesday to finish around 10. Wednesday around 8 I got a call and was asked if we could change to Thursday as someone had no water at all and needed emergency service. I had no problem with a change, asked instead for Friday and it was a dream! Confirm call, here on time, and finished work in a clean and timely manner. The job took him longer than he thought but charged us the quoted price. I WILL be passing his name on!

I'm doing a full remodel of our master bathroom and needed a plumber to do the rough-ins for a custom shower and bathtub. I'm not a pro (just an avid DIYer) and have high expectations when I need help from a tradesman. After contacting several plumbers (many of whom didn't return phone calls for a couple of days or even at all), Chris (C&G Plumbing) was immediately responsive -- giving me a call back within 15 minutes of my initial phone call. He was able to schedule the job within a couple of days and arrived as expected first thing in the morning. The custom shower included a showerhead, three body sprays, a thermostatic valve, a diverter, and a hand shower rough-in. Chris asked all the right questions to understand the system, and installed everything to the manufacturer's specifications. Given that I'm handling most of the renovation work myself, he offered some great expertise and advice on how to best complete the rest of the job. Though I hired him to do the faucet and spout rough-in for the tub, he also noted that the tub drain wasn't positioned correctly and moved it as well. That was something I would have discovered when installing the tub and Chris saved me that unpleasant surprise and the tub installation went smoothly. Chris was professional, respectful, and took care to keep things neat and clean. When he was done, he cleaned up the work area and followed up with a phone call the next day to make sure everything was still OK. Nice touch and very much appreciated. Unlike many plumbers who follow a fixed-job pricing schedule, Chris charges for time and materials and itemized everything on his invoice. Much appreciated and very fair and competitive price given the complexity of the work which took the better part of a day to complete. I appreciated his looking at the total job and his recommendations. Will definitely recommend him to friends and neighbors in need of a skilled plumber.

He had showed up within the window of time he had given on a Saturday morning and looked at the problem. There was really no way of getting to the pipes behind the walls, so he had to make a tiny hole around the shower head to see inside. Upon cutting into the sheetrock he could see how wet the material was, and was able to see that the connection from the pipe to the showerhead was a plastic piece instead of a more preferable metal piece, and had split causing a steady stream of water to come out every time the water was turned on. He was able to remove a relatively small amount of the sheetrock and make the repair. This was about 2-1/2 hours of labor, and he will come back in a couple of days, on January 1, to repair the sheetrock around the showerhead. I don't know much about whether the cost is in line with the service. But I do know that if the problem had not been repaired now, the cost would have been greater down the road. Knowing that makes the cost more acceptable!

I had my bathroom remodeled due to old age and outdated fixtures. I called C&G Plumbing & Heating Co. and they responded promptly and set up a time frame that fit my schedule perfectly! They were able to perform and exceeded my expectations immaculately! I was also impressed with the recommendations that were given and advice on how to go about the whole process. Our plumber was very understanding, neat and professional!
