My air conditioner died at the height of a long stretch of record breaking temperatures. Mr Shaw and his helpers were working very long days at this time but he came out the next day to a**** my needs and to install a window air conditioner (to give me one room cooler than 88 degrees!) He called me the next morning with an estimate. He pointed out that my system was a perfect set up for adding a heat pump, which I had already been considering after experiencing the rapid rise in the cost of heating oil last winter. I was told by others to expect a much higher replacement cost and was very happy with his estimate. I took time to look up the manufacturer of the unit he had proposed since I had never heard of it. My internet search made me even more confident that he was looking out for my best interests, and gave me a better understanding of the importance of having a well qualified technician. They came out the following afternoon (a Saturday) and spent 5 hours completing the job in the hottest afternoon sun. I know they ran into challenges working on my 30 year old house and even had to go into the crawl space for part of that time. They were all very professional and upbeat the whole time they were here. They left my house at dinner time to go work on someone else's problem.
