Mr. Lanthorne is very knowledgeable about what will and won't work in construction and did a fine job guiding me in the design process for my simple deck so that we could preserve our fantastic view while keeping the structure safe for my baby and dogs to use. He is honest, forthright, and very reasonably priced. My deck is 16 x 24 feet and is only one step off the ground, without rails because they would block our view. One end of the deck is over a lower graded part of the lot and Mr. Lanthorne anticipated this and purchased the necessary rail for that side that is on a downhill without having to be told. Mr Lanthorn and his colleague were well-liked by our dogs, so I guess that says something about their character! They are normal down-to-earth people. They worked for 3 or 4 days and brought their own radio and Mr. Lanthorne does work without a shirt sometimes, so be aware. These are not clean-cut kids, these are hardworking, experienced grown men who get the job done with no butt kissing or excuses.
