It took me a while to make a choice of contractor, but the search was definitely worth it. Al Ferrara and his crew were a delight to work with. They were professional, efficient, expert at their work, and always kept me well informed. I can’t recommend them highly enough! The whole experience was great from start to finish. The work was beautifully done and completed on schedule. I would certainly use them again for any future projects.

We had a bathtub overflow upstairs and needed the bathroom floor and vanity replaced, carpet re-stretched and tacked down in an adjacent bedroom, along with the flooring downstairs replaced. As long as we were going, we decided to replace the toilet, medicine cabinet mirrors, and bathroom lights. We got several quotes for the job. Ferrara got back to us quickly and stayed in contact. They worked with us on the cost. We were quoted on having our bathroom remodeled and new flooring installed downstairs. After hiring Al Ferrara, we found out that he couldn't move plumbing in our bathroom to accommodate a smaller vanity, he couldn't install our new medicine cabinets in the wall, couldn't replace one light fixture with two, or couldn't stretch or tack down carpet. Basically he installed vinyl plank flooring downstairs, ceramic tile in the bathroom, a bathroom vanity, hung the medicine cabinets ON the wall, faucets, and a new toilet. The bathroom faucets leaked and he had to come out several times to fix it. Finally had to replace a pipe under the sink. The toilet rocked and we were told by a worker that is normal. What?? My husband was upset and told him that wasn't true. Come to find out, they had cracked the flange under the toilet during installation. They cut a piece of carpet padding, laid it down, laid the carpet back over it, and installed the baseboard. As I was vacuuming up after them, the carpet pulled up. We called him back to be told that they don't do carpet, yet we were quoted for having carpet fixed upstairs and replaced in two rooms downstairs. They broke a small piece of wood on my kitchen island, didn't nail the decorative corners down properly, I had to ask several times for them to put the grate back on the front of the bottom of the fridge. I had to move all the new towel bars and shower bar because he they were not in the right places, they put a dent in my bathroom wall with a screwdriver, damaged the bathroom wall when ripping out the old vanity, complained about the fact that their knees were hurting from installing the floor, complained about the weight of the new vanity that they had to carry upstairs. We ran out of flooring for the hallway downstairs and had to wait for it to come in. Al told me that we needed to have transition strips from the kitchen into the family rooms because he was afraid the exposed edges might break off from people walking on it, yet he left the floor staggered down our entire front hallway. They never replaced the quarter round in our laundry closet. Our experience was terrible! So in the end, I had to call an electrician to change the lights, a carpet guy to fix the carpet, and another handyman to install the medicine cabinets in the wall. General contractor? No! He was nothing more than a handyman. We spent way more money than anticipated because I had to hire other people to do the work that couldn't be done. I would never hire them again and do not recommend them.
