He’s a racist. He’s used his social media platform to degrade African American people and he’s displayed racial slurs towards the individuals whom argued his distasteful attitude towards said individuals!! Do not hire him and do not use his services..

Description of Work: This "appliance service" should be renamed "Shady Dave's Shiceter Service" "need a repair....?? this guy will show-up, schmooze u, charge u an "arm & leg" (for work he hasn't even done yet), take your $check$ directly 2 the bank ( like 30 mins after leaving your home)& cash-it, then NEVER COME BACK TO DO THE JOB!! Seriously guys; this is a very short version of what I recently went through with this man - started a job 4me on 3-23-12 and never returned w/parts for my stove or "his labor", which stupidly enough, I have already paid in full for...LESSON LEARNED. Found out he'd never even ordered the parts to begin with - although he stood right in my kitchen & made " a call" to someone who was supposedly "going 2 ship these pre-purchased parts earlier the next week. Each time I called him 2 check on the progress, he always had one grandiose excuse after the other. Now; he won't even return my calls. Wonder if he'll respond to the court document I've had served 2 his "place of business?"

People do not want to hire him. He took my money, and never came back. He was supposed to of ordered Viking range valves. He will not answer my calls, and he will not return my calls. He will not even give me the part because I can’t talk to him. I had a contractor come in, and he will not respond to him. I called Viking to see if the valves were ordered on that date by him. There was not even an order placed. He basically is a crook. In the beginning he was just as nice as can be. He was very hurried he wanted things done fast, and get out. I would never again use his services.
Description of Work: We hired Dave's Appliance Service to replace Viking range valves.

He always comes when he says he will, and does a nice job. He is very pleasant to deal with and I like him a lot.

The actual replacement of the control unit was performed without difficulty and seemed to solve the problem. However, another light went out less than 6 months later. Dave arrived on the day agreed upon but late. The problem is that it took me about 6 months to reach Dave, despite leaving numerous messages. He finally called me only after I complained directly to Dacor, the manufacturer. At that time Dave was the only provider of warranty service for Dacor in the immediate area. When a 2nd burner knob light went out less than 6 months later, I checked the Dacor Web site, and Dave still was the only option. I called and left messages for months and did not hear from Dave. When I finally went back to the Dacor Web site prepared to complain to Dacor, I found an updated list of service providers. What a relief never again to have to rely upon Dave's Appliance Service.
Description of Work: Replacement of entire control unit for burner knob lights on Dacor cooktop. The cooktop was about 6 months old when the light went out and still was under warranty when the work finally was done.
