Butch's Tree Service

I purchased a Big Deal for $249 for $500 worth of tree services. I asked him to call me when he was going to be able to come, so I could be there to show him what I needed to be done. He ended up showing up without me being there and just completed the work the way he felt needed to be done after our discussion of what I wanted. There were a few other things besides what he did that I would have had him do. He did a good job on the service that he did perform.

They were hired to cut down a tree size hedge, grind down the stump, and dig up two hedges inside and next to the gate. I was going to use the two hedges to replace the tree, but they cut those hedges down also. They forgot to grind down the stump of the tree size hedge, but they returned and finished the job. I will have to purchase two hedges and have them come back and grind down the stumps of the two hedges they cut down by mistake.

They were fine. They cleaned up very well and did a good job.

After the first call, I had to call back twice to get him to come by. Then he promised to come and didn't. I explained I need to get my roof worked on and he promised again. The cold came and went with snow. No call to reshedule. Tried one last time but to no avail. I called a second Angie tree service and they came and completed the job in four days from estimate to completion. I would not recommend this service.

It went very well. He brought a bucket truck and backed it in the driveway, between the gate posts with approximately 8 inches total to spare. Also had to be as close to house to get to the tree needing trimming. It was amazing to watch him move the truck.

He's a good guy. It was a thorough job and I appreciated his work. He trimmed back about 5 years worth of growth. He was very impressive. My neighbor came by and remarked on how well he did his work, and she even called him and him come out and do work for her too. He takes down the limbs of the trees and puts it right through a mulcher that he brings with him as well. He's respectful and polite as can be. He will always be my first choice.

He and his crew were respectful of the property and the neighborhood. He is very skillful and professional in his work. He had several other customers in this neighbor that day, and was contacted by others for work on their property (at a later date) after seeing the excellent work and service he provides.

I have used the big deal that I purchased from them. Butch does an amazing work. He is such a hard worker and is always on time. His prices are very fair and I really like him a lot.

in our last conversation Butch and I determined that if it rained the job would not get completed so I anticipated a delay because of the rain that morning. The crew arrived in the afternoon of a drizzling day and completed the task. I am very happy with the results.

It turned out fine. There were no additional charges. I haven't used them before. They didn't call me and let me know that they were coming. I would have liked to have known that. I guess the only other thing was that they took a lot of small branches down and I just felt like they could have cleaned up a little better and they didn't. They did most of what I asked them to do, so it's fine. I would probably use them in the future.

THE TREE SIZE HEDGE WENT WELL, BUT THEY CUT DOWN THE TWO HEDGES ALSO.

I purchased the "Big Deal" for $500 of tree service for $279. Purchased the deal 4 days before I met Butch face to face. I wasn't expecting him to just drop by the residence but luckily I was home at the time. Butch took the time to go over my concerns and even offered better ways to do what I was trying to achieve with trimming the trees around my property that were overhanging or touching my house. Butch told me that he would have a crew over in the next few days (weather permitting) and that they would take care of the work. The following Friday we left the house for just a few hours and were happily surprised that in the short amount of time we were gone all the tree work had been done. Butch did exactly what was asked of him including cutting the left over white oak and gum tree limbs into 18" logs and leave them on my property. I was most surprised by the clean up that his crew did. Short of the newly cut limb marks on the trees themselves, you would never have known anyone had been there to do work. Truly superb job in cleaning up after the work was done! Much to my surprise again Butch came by a few days after the job to check in person how the job went and to see if I was satisfied. What more can you ask for from a business? Butch handles the work on time, within budget and even went so far as to follow up in person to make sure I was satisfied with the work. I would definitely use Butch's Tree Service again for my future needs. My only criticism would be to have someone who can coordinate a date and time to meet up with Butch of one of his guys. I did not mind, but the timeframe I had to work with had me out of the office and at home anyway. I can see how others have become frustrated with the business approach.

I purchased $250 coupon for tree trimming/prunning services from Butch. Once the purchase was made, I had difficulties setting up a time for it to be done. I talked to the owner several times who said that he would swing by the house to look at what was needed. I wanted to meet him at the house to explain exactly what I wanted done but he just visited the house on a random day at a random time and called me afterwards. Once he visited the house, it took few more calls to set up a time to get the service done. Even then, the company came out few days before the arranged time, so I wasn't able to point out my concerns and what I wanted done exactly. With all that said, they did do a great job of trimming/prunning the tall trees in our back yard. So I would choose this company again but I would just emphasize to them that I would want to discuss things in person and be present for the work.

The initial contact was for options afforded to me. The response was professional and in-depth. I opted for limb removal and a quote was provided to me that was within my budget. Limb removal was done at the first available time (weather permitting). Job was done swiftly and cleanup first-rate.

The project went very well. Butch and his crew trimmed trees back to our property line and took a tree down for us. They left the yard clean and neat.

I told him in person and via email that I wanted to allow more light penetration along the side of my house so I could grow grass. I purchased the "Big Deal" on 9/26/13 and, on the same day, emailed information on what I needed done so I could seed the lawn. It's now 11/4/13 and despite me calling several times, I have yet to hear from him again. I've been patient, but can't excuse not even getting a return call over several weeks. The day after I published this review, Butch arrived at my house and took care of business.

I found out they performed service after I reached out to Angie's List to tell them I hadn't heard from them. Butch called to say they had been in the neighborhood a few days ago, just a few streets over, and he sent a crew over to trim my trees. I'll admit I was aghast to hear that he had been on my property without my knowledge; I was just as surprised when I thought for a moment that he left no indication that he was here, no business card or note; and then I was disappointed that I could not tell they ever did anything for $250 (that was supposed to be for $500 worth of tree service according to the deal). While I was on the phone with him, I walked out around my property to try to spot what they did. After looking hard, at the trees around my house I started to notice some freshly cut spots, but I had to ask why he left a branch that was resting on the roof of my garage. I asked ?How come you didn?t take down all the branches that were leaning on any of the other trees as we had discussed?? I took a picture of the tree still touching the house and texted it to him. This would have been the second time they stopped by without warning. The first time he came out I was lucky enough to be home. We walked around the property and I pointed out the most pressing issues, included the branch resting on my garage. Most of it was not addressed when they performed the service for the deal and he never gave me an idea of what I could get for the deal. He just said I had a lot of trees. I feel this experience would have gone a lot better with improved communication, and I would have liked to be home at the time of service to be able to point out the most pressing issues and at least get an idea of what $500 worth of tree service looks like. After we spoke and I texted him the picture, I never heard from him again. Needless to say I won't be using them again.

I had a tree from a neighbors yard hanging over my fence. I have a constant barrage of leaves from this tree in my pool daily. I had Butch's Tree Service come out and trim all the branches on my side of my fence. They cut the branches and cleaned up all the debris. Very nice crew. Would definitely use them again.

We had asked for some work that, quite frankly, went beyond the general parameters of tree service. Butch was very easy to work with and he and his team showed up as promised. They went to work in a flash and had everything on the list done exceptionally well. Despite the nature of the work, they left things cleaner than when they arrived. They were extremely professional and a joy to work with. I would highly recommend them.

Butch and his crew were fantastic. Extremely professional and they obviously knew what they were doing. They left my yard completely cleaned up and removed all of the debris. I would give the an A grade and highly recommend them again

I purchased the $500 coupon. I left a message for Butch on his answering machine. The following Sunday, he showed up (surprise!) to go over the job and give me an estimate. The estimate was extremely reasonable. We originally agreed on a price of $1700 (minus $500)l I later added the oak removal. Although he estimated an additional $200 to do the extra work; at the end of the actual work day, he admitted the job had not taken as much time as thought; and he charged me only an additiional $100. Butch showed up on time on a wet, windy Saturday with a crew of three. The guys were professional, thorough, and very personable. They cleaned up behind themselves and then some. I am extremely pleased with the work and the price. My property can breathe again! I highly recommend Butch's Tree Service and will use him again.

Butch's Tree Service came while I was not home. When I returned a circle of sawdust where the tree was located was neatly raked.

Butch did a fantastic job. I was very pleased with his work, and the clean up afterwards. I have already recommended him to several of my friends needing work. Thanks Butch for a job well done.
