Arrived on time, professional, didn't take long to complete the work. Clean up and haul Way excellent. They were an equal opportunity employer. Would recommend to friends and family.

Great job. Took down the tree without problems, hauled away all debris, ground stump and cleaned up. Hard to tell there was ever a tree or that they were there. Especially pleased with the way they cleaned everything up.

He never showed or called to reschedule.

Butch came by in December to give an estimate on removing 5 trees from our backyard. It took a while to get everything ready on my end, but when I called him in March he remembered me and what I wanted done and said he'd see how the weather went and give me a call when they could come out. I was expecting to wait a while as the ground was quite soggy from rain and snowmelt, but a couple days later he called me in the evening and asked if they could come by the next morning to get to work. They showed up on time and quickly got to work taking down the trees. It took about 3 hours for them to cut all 5 trees and remove the logs and branches. The stump grinding took a while because the ground around the trees was full of trash, glass and metal, so we had to clear some of the trash before they could finish grinding. The grinder and the cart they were using to haul logs left some tracks in the soft ground and they offered to smooth them out before they left, but I told them not to worry because we were going to be grading the area soon. Overall the whole process went great. The crew was very quick and efficient and the price for the work was reasonable.

It was fine. They completed the work quickly. They came with their own equipment and clean up was like they were never here. Their prices were fair.

The tree was removed with all waste and limbs. The removal was quick and efficient. The crew was hard working and professional. Will be using again to trim other trees.

The whole crew was great! There was no way to get the big trucks into the backyard. It didn't stop them from carefully taking the very large limbs (18" diameter was one of the limbs) down and cutting them for firewood for us. They also did not damage my other trees or plants in the process and cleaned up afterwards. The only issues is communication, the job is weather dependent so communication is critical.

Found service on Angie's List - lots of good reviews. Got an e-mail from Anie's List with phone number. I called - left a message and never heard back from them. May hvae been a machine problem, but could not get them to give me an estimate. Guess my job was too small? Or they lost the message? Just seems odd that a business does not follow up on service requests.

Butch and him crew were organized and timely. Repeatly ask if what they were doing was exceptable and made every effort to correct and/or fix any areas that was broung to there attention. I would highly recommend them to anyone and have already do so. I will be utilizing only them on the future.

Provider gave an estimate however I did not use his service as I received 2 estimates that were lower.

Agreed twice to come and look at tree, never came either time. This caused me to waste time before calling another service because they said they were coming.

Butch got back to me right away with a quote on the job. We had some trouble matching up our two schedules, but Butch worked with me to get my job fitted in. His team did a very good job. They cleaned up after themselves and I was very happy with the service provided.

This was a pleasure. A nice bunch of guys with a professional attitude. Came in, did the job, cleaned up and left. All in about 4 hours. I would not only recommend them but I would use them again.

Did a great job. Completely cleaned everything up. My yard and my driveway were spotless. I would definitely hire him again, and would recommend him. Very pleasant and professional.

Butch and his crew were very professional. They removed the dead tree efficiently and safely in spite of the very difficult location. The tree limbs were directly above a gazebo. Butch carefully controlled cut limbs to ensure no damage occurred. The cleanup was thorough. Al-in-all, just the kind of work we had hoped for.

Butch's crew are great and professional. I couldn't be happier. The broke down what I would call a s*** ton of trees quickly and ground out the roots. if you are looking for a good bunch of guys...these are your choice.

I called this company, spoke to Butch and arranged an appointment on the afternoon of 6/2/2014. I had explained to him my work schedule and wanted him to come out on one of my days off. We agreed on 6/2/2014. On 5/31/2014, he showed up at my house while I was at work. My son-in-law who was at my residence at the time showed him the tree, however, my son-in-law did not know all the details or what questions I had reference the removal of the tree. Butch left an estimate of $1200.00. On Monday morning, 6/2/2014, I called his number and left a voice mail. I have yet to receive a return phone call from this company. Unless you don't mind the company showing up on another day other than the appointed date/time, I would not recommend this company. As it turned out, after having the property surveyed, I needed another tree and an old stump in the front side yard ground down. I have since scheduled with another provider whose estimate is only $100 more for more work than what Butch's estimated for one large pine tree.

It was difficult to get in touch with him as he was out of town working in NC after a big storm had come through our area and he was trying to help get them cleaned up down there. He would call me back--and did try to keep me posted on when he thought he might be back in town, but that did change a few times. When he did get back to VA, he did call me and came out and gave me an estimate He honored my Big Deal I had purchased even though the date was expired because he was out of town, so I was very happy about that. He did a really good job taking down the tree, I was at work when he called me and told me he was on the way, by the time I got home from work that afternoon the tree was down. A couple of days later he came and took the big tree pieces away. The only negative I have about the job, which I did not realize was not a part of the quote was I have a big and I mean big pile of wood chips/dirt in my front yard from the stump grinding. So I have slowly been trying to get rid of that, but that is another issue in it self. I hope that the stump in the ground is gone, but I will not know that untill I reach the bottom of this wood chip pile. I would definitly use him again, but I think I would just have him take the tree as low as he could and leave the stump in the ground, so I don't have a lot of extra work for myself to try to clean up.

Butch and his crew of five did an awesome job, taking down four small mimosa trees, two very large Bradford pears and pruning up a huge pine tree. They were right on time, worked very hard throughout the day and left the yard neater than when they got there! This is a small commercial property and my lawn service commented on what a great job they did cleaning up afterward. Although I did have to be a little proactive to get the job scheduled (I'm sure this is their busy season) I could not have been more pleased with the work and could not recommend them more highly. I know they have a coupon on here but their price was so fair I didn't feel right using it, and gave all the crew tips at the end of the day. They were a great team.

We were very happy with the service. They were really efficient. They did a great job at cleaning up and they kept clean language around my kids which was important. They were friendly, easy to work with, and they were on time. They got the job done quickly as well.

NO work was completed. I called this company on 17May2014 and they told me that someone would come out to my home later in the day. NO one showed up. I had another company remove my trees.

They were perfect even removed some branches I had cut from another part of the yard. The crew walked us around the area and made sure we were satisfied before they presented the bill. I will always call Butch's Tree Service first.

We had scheduling issues and finally got a date scheduled and then he did not show up.

Butch was supposed to meet me at a house we had sold on a certain date to see whether he would be able to move a maple tree to our new house. Instead, he went to the house the day before our appointment, talked to the new owner instead of to me and decided that he wouldn't recommend moving the tree. But he never called me to let me know any of this! What a knucklehead. So I've given up on him and will use another contractor.
