I got the big deal - $500 of tree service for $250. Butch was professional and curtious, but due to his workload, difficult to schedule the work. He performed the work after three weeks of initial contact...he did a great job however, and I would hire him again and recommend him.

Good people, friendly. Good price. Quality job. Responsive and punctual. Very professional. It was very hot at that time, and they used my water hose to keep cool. I also provided them some bottled water and some nice cold orange juice. I liked these people.

Butch Pullido, owner of Butch's Tree Service provided a detailed estimate for removal of trees and vegetation. No attempt was made to over-scope or over-sell the project. Estimate is believed to have been best value and authorization to proceed was provided. Butch and his crew appeared promptly on the agreed upon date. The crew presented as a clean and eager to work group of people who immediately set about the job at hand. Butch performed all the high work and the crew kept busy removing, cutting up and chipping the removed material. All material was removed, stumps ground as agreed, and all areas raked. Of particular note was the stump grinding. Rather than the massive amounts of debris I have seen at several other sites, the bulk of the chips were removed and an essentially flat area remained. Hard working crew; all work finished in single day. Good value. I will use them again should the need arise.

Like a poorly written novel, our experience started rocky, plateaued and then rapidly fell into a state of disaster. We purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for $500 worth of services for $249. Perhaps if we had not we might have had a better experience, though I wouldn't bet on it. Before purchasing the deal we emailed the company's website for an estimate. I was asked for our address and a phone number so that an appointment for an estimate could be scheduled. The following day someone just showed up with no phone call to provide the estimate. We happened to be home and working in the yard, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt that they happened to be in the area and decided to swing by. We were happy with the estimate we received, so I emailed the email address on the site again and requested an appointment to be set before purchasing the deal. After 2 emails I received no response, so my husband called the phone number on the site. We set an appointment for the following Saturday and I purchased the deal. After several unanswered requests for a time on Saturday morning, my husband finally called on Friday night. We were told that someone would be at our house at 8AM. By 9:30 no one had arrived and we had not been contacted by phone or email to explain the delay. At about 10AM someone finally showed up and work began. The work went smoothly until they were wrapping up. As they were packing up to leave my husband asked if he was going to bring around the equipment to grind the stump. He had apparently forgotten that he had told my husband that he would do that as part of the job and failed to bring the appropriate equipment to complete it. We were understanding about it at first and asked when he would be back to complete the project. We were advised that Wednesday the task would be done. Wednesday came and went, no phone call and no completed job. Thursday we forgot to allow for access to the yard, but advised that we would be around after a certain hour to allow for completion. We received a call at about 8:30PM advising that he had worked late at another job and didn't get a chance to come to our house. This brings us to 8:30PM Friday. My husband and I were sitting on the couch playing with our puppy and we heard noises coming from the back yard. My husband jumped up to investigate and discovered the tree service taking down our back fence to get in and grind the stump. We never received a single phone call or email to advise that anyone would be returning tonight, despite leaving a message hours earlier requesting a new appointment to complete the job and a return call. Our stump is gone; however, we now have a knee high pile of debris surrounded by a trench. We are not landscapers; we don't even own a shovel. We are now faced with either buying equipment to correct this issue or hiring someone else to do it. In the entire time that we have been Angie's List members we have NEVER been this disappointed with a company with an A rating. We used a different tree service previously and were thrilled with our service. That company not only ground down the stump the day of service, as contracted, but left our yard in better condition than they found it. I wish I could say the same this time. Perhaps we were less important because we saw the opportunity to meet a need and receive a fairly nice discount thanks to Angie's List. Perhaps you do get what you pay for. Either way, this company's utter lack of adequate communication and complete disregard for both customer convenience and satisfaction has earned this company a grade lower than F, but unfortunately that's as low as Angie's List will let us grade them.

The crew was quick and careful and cleaned up very thoroughly. All debris was removed and "chipped." The back yard was raked and the driveway both swept and blown free of pine needles and debris. The city street was both blown free of needles and swept. VERY nicely done. It was a job thoroughly well done!Butch also showed me where the tree is inherently dangerous as it is split from about the 6ft mark to the base. For a tree 60+ tall that is not good so I decided to have Butch's Tree Service take it down completely.

I am very please with the job they did, it looks so much better. This was an easy job in the fact they didn't have to work around anything, they drove the equipment right into the back yard and up to the trees. It was a mess for them to deal with, lots of vines and poison ivy was all in the trees. They worked very well together, and were professional. They cut down 4 tall pines and some cypress trees and mulched them up. They raked the yard and really cleaned up when they were done. He had all the right equipment to get the job done right and fast. If we ever need more cut or trimmed I will be calling them again.

Hurricane Irene uprooted one large tree, another tree was split, damaging yet another which had to be removed, and damaged/dead branches were removed from a fourth. After seeing what other folks were charged, it makes me wonder if I was taken advantage of. I do hope not. Word of mouth is quite powerful. That's why we have Angie's List! :)

It was amazing to see how these trees were taken down with such percision. The crew worked as a team. They cleaned up when they were done. It was AMAZING!!!. I don't know whether to call them tree surgeons or tree engineers, in any the were PROS. Keep up the great job. The price was right. I will use the company again.

Good contractor. Arrived when he said he would, got started right away. Ended up staying somewhat late to get the job done that day. Had the best price of the multiple companies i called.

The experience went well. The crew trimmed and shaped two (one large and one medium sized) hardwood trees that were encroaching on the house. They were fast but thourough. They did a good job of cleaning up afterwards although it began raining at the very end of the cleanup which hindered their efforts. This is a good outfit.

They arrived on time and worked until the job was finished by the afternoon. They removed all the debris.

I was extremely happy with the results that they gave me. They did a nice job of cleaning up after themselves and they hauled away all of the debris at no extra charge. I really liked that they didn't mess up my yard with their big trucks that they used.

Butch's Tree Service was very prompt with removing the three trees. They were able to accommodate our schedule and start working days sooner than expected. They were very professional and had the yard looked spotless when they left. Their price was cheap as well.

We used Butch's on numerous occasions and they had removed seven to eight trees out of our yard. The last time they came out and removed one large pine tree and grounded down the stump to ground level. They cleaned up everything very well and hauled it all away. I would highly recommend them.

Butch sent out 2 men to remove the trees, and they had all of the proper equipment for the job. They did a real good job and were very hard workers who got busy right away. They really did a very good job of cleaning everything up when they were done.
