Everything went GREAT from the first contact to the completion of the job! Butch is very personable and professional. He and his crew did an exceptional job and cleaned up all the debris after the work had been completed leaving the lawn, sidewalk and street areas practically spotless! We will definitely be using Butch in the future for ALL of our tree needs and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good tree service company!

They were cutting down a tree in my neighbors yard and it fell onto my son's trampoline, into our yard, they did not ask permission to use the yard but came over and began chopping the tree branches up in MY yard. They hauled pieces up in my yard leaving a muddy mess and many leftover leaves and twigs behind for me to clean up! Definitely not professionals at all !!

It went GREAT from the first call until finish.

The men arrived with their equipment for shredding all the waste wood. The area below my deck and to the edge of my property was cleared of bushes and small trees that had become overgrown during the past few years. Rubbish, bottles and cans that are washed down from further along the road were picked up and taken away. The whole area was left clean and tidy. Everything was shredded into their truck and removed. They have been to my house some years ago and cut down trees and this was their usual excellent work.

really great experience. The entire crew arrived, and even though it was raining heavily, they stayed and finished the job. They also cleaned out some debris blocking our gutter, and swept off the debris on the roof. Very friendly and professional.

I bought the voucher for $500 worth of service for only $289. It took a week or so to get a hold of him to schedule the service, because he was getting lots of phone calls due to the voucher. He was very polite and we set it up for the morning of July 31. The day before i called to confirm the time, but he said he would be late, probably closer to 10:00. As it turned out, he and his crew did not arrive until 11:15. This was my only complaint, however, because once they arrived they got right to work and handled the job promptly. They cleaned up well after themselves, and I could hardly tell where the trees used to be. To top it off, I asked if he could grind the trees up for mulch for me. He said he couldn't do it right then and there, but he would be glad to bring me some mulch at no extra charge. And a few weeks later, he kept his promise and brought me a HUGE truckload of mulch! This was definitely above and beyond, and more than made up for them being late. I would use them again and highly recommend them.

I haven't been able to make contact and get an appointment -- 12 days later.

Butch quoted a price of $950 for the entire job, but with the coupon, the final price was $700.00. Butch was very prompt and did an excellent job. My neighbor was so impressed with how deep each stump was ground and also asked for Butch's card for his friends. We highly recommend Butch and intend to utilize his service for any tree needs in the future.

Everything went good. We had to wait for the weather, but that was not the contractor's fault.

It went okay. I wasn't at home when the service was provided so I never met the provider. I don't know how extensive the tree trimming went. He may have trimmed just a couple of branches or a lot. I told him that I didn't want a lot trimmed from the tree because it is a beatiful tree. I was paying for his expertise. But the branches don't hit my roof any more and the tree is still beautiful. I rated him lower on professionalism and responsiveness because I had to call him at least twice to arrange the appointment and there just wasn't a lot of communication.

It went Did not notice it till later. I haven't contacted them yet to repair it. Otherwise they were great. I had purchased a Angie's list big deal. These limbs that they removed were the size of trees. I plan on having them remove the trees this fall.

Found out Butch is very busy and it took awhile to get back to me. But the reason he is so busy is because he does an excellent and outstanding job. Went above and beyond what was called for. The crew was friendly and hard workers. It was a pleasure to chat with Mike. Will definely use again.

It took awhile to get the work scheduled but Butch and his crew arrived on time and proceeded to perform services as agreed upon. Workers were helpful and assisted with the job and cleanup and hauled away excess shrub branches. He was good about replacing a light which was damaged by an accidental tree limb bouncing up and knocking into the pole and light fixture which broke. Overall they did a good job.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and they were very good. They came out and did the work for me, and I hired them to do some extra work. It was a little difficult scheduling and he dropped the ball on me a couple of times, and he finally came out. I paid extra to take down some more tree limbs. He did a good job, his staff was real courteous, and helped me out cleaning up afterwards, which was nice.

The provider was very polite and professional. They not only cut down and removed unwanted trees, they also removed the pile of brush left from my last attempt to get rid of some unwanted trees. However, there were a couple of things which were not so great: 1. the offer did not provide any granularity as to what the price included. It was $249 for $500 of tree services, instead of "for three hours of tree services to include..". So I was leary from the start that I didn't have a good idea what compromised $500 worth of tree services. 2. They did not grind out or remove the stumps. I hired them because I thought I did not have the tools, time or expertise to do the work myself, but since they didn't remove the stumps I could have done it myself. More disappointing most of the removed trees and brushs have now grown back. This makes me leary of all big deals now. Especially since you do not generally have the time to get an itemized quote or competive bids for the work. That said I would hire them again, but I would want an itemized cost and service breakdown.

I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Very professional crew and eager to get the job done correctly....overall a pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend this company to all who need an arborist...I will certainly use them again next Summer when my trees will need to be trimmed again. Gave estimate that was lower than my Angie's list big deal - offered and performed extra work taking down some worrisome branches. Butch returned phone calls and e-mails quickly. Coordinated alternate dates immediatly when weather turned against us. Was quick, efficient and did a great job.

I am very pleased with the work that Butch and his crew did. They were very thorough trimming everything we had discussed. Butch did most of the more complicated work himself. His crew of four was professional, friendly and respectful and were quick to clear the debris away. This was the first time that I tried one of the Angie's List Deals ($500 worth of work for $279) and it went great. Butch provided good value for the deal. I will recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

I have Butch before and knew what to expect and it was just amazing to watch him do his ballet up in those large pine trees. The limbs were removed in such a way none of our bushes or shrubs in the backyard were damaged. He did the same thing up in our Oak Tree removing the overhanging limb without it touching the garage or the roof. He also systematically removed parts of the Crepe Myrtle until it was the height we requested. All limbs, braches, and sawdust was quickly cleaned up so our property looked like no one had been there. Butch is very much in demand and had to reschedule twice to do the work. His quality of work was well worth waiting. I Highly Recommend Him!

Butch Tree Service did an amazing job on removing the trees and pruning the large tree. Made a HUGE different to the appearance of my house. Very professional and right on point when it comes to estimating the price.

I found a few tree service companies here on Angie's list and got quotes from them, along with Butch's Tree Service. Butch's Tree Service provided an estimate that beat the others by hundreds of dollars. I was slightly concerned this was going to be one of those "too good to be true" scenarios. Butch called me a couple of times to schedule the work, but with my job I very rarely have a moment to breath much less answer a phone. He was patient with me and when I finally called him back, early the next morning before I headed off to work, he was able to do the work that day! According to my neighbor, they arrived at my house around 10:00am. They were still working just has hard as they could when I got home from work. I then had some errands to run around 7:00pm and they were still out there getting the job done. By the time I got home my backyard was maple tree free, the stump was ground, the hole was packed with dirt, and the yard looked great!!! My invoice was sitting in my mailbox for a little less than he had previously quoted!!! My next door neighbor came by the house and told me just how hard Butch's crew worked and just how dead my tree was. We were both very happy to see the tree go since we live in an area that has terrible hurricane's. My neighbor said "I've never seen a crew work as hard as that crew worked. I don't even believe they took a break!". In fact he said he wishes he had heard of this company when he had a tree removed from his yard a few years back because he was not impressed with the company he had used. We have a few people in the neighborhood that are considering having a tree or 2 removed from their yards as well and I will be certain to give them Butch's information.

Initially, I had a little trouble reaching Butch, but I assume that's because he's so busy. And there's a reason he's so busy - everyone wants to hire the best! When trying to reach Butch, a little patience will go a long way. He called me back about 4-5 days after I left my initial voicemail and within 2 weeks, the job was done. I bought a coupon to get $500 of work for $279 and it covered all the work I needed done. By contrast, another competitor wanted $550, so I saved a lot of money with Butch. Butch and his crew are very professional, friendly and efficient. They finished their work in about an hour and left it to me to tell them when they were done (in other words, they didn't quit until I was happy with the job.) They carefully removed all the large limbs with no damage to the house, gutters, etc. They chipped all the wood and hauled it away and cleaned up after themselves. I was 100% happy with the deal and felt I got an awesome price for the work done. As an added bonus, it's fun to watch them work. Butch doesn't climb the tree, he tosses a rope high into the tree and then shimmies up the rope in 5 seconds flat! It was really interesting to see him do his work. I would offer Butch's tree service my highest recommendation without the slightest reservation. You can't go wrong with Butch - as I said, just practice a little patience in reaching him.

Butch's Tree Service does excellent work. Butch takes time to discuss what he's going to do with the trees and is very knowledgeable. He pruned a huge sycamore in my front yard and cleared out some large overhanging branches in my back yard to keep the trees away from the house. He has the equipment and knowledge he needs. He also left the yard clean and cleared out all the debris--even the ivy he and his staff cleared away from old trees that I want to preserve. I intend to call him back in the late fall or winter to prune back my Bradford Pears. The only problem that I had was that he was hard to get in contact with. He doesn't seem to return messages or emails. But persistence pays off and he did a great job for me. To be fair, every good tree person I have worked with seems to have been quirky in some regard or other. The appointments we made were somewhat vague--in the next couple of days, or next week. But he did spend time one afternoon finding out what I had in mind and then, a couple of weeks later showed up with his crew and did the work with a minimum of fuss, leaving the yard neat and clean. (It was not work which would have required me to be there.)
