Anthony Randolph Plastering & Drywall Restoration

It went really well and Mr. Randolph was very responsive to our phone calls and text messages. When he was running behind one night, he contacted us early to let us know he was running about 30 minutes behind. We would definitely use Mr. Randolph again.

This is my second time using Anthony. He is the consummate professional. He will protect your floors and furniture and provide a professional job. I originally hired Anthony because of the reviews on Angie's List and I haven't been disappointed. There is more to plastering than most people know. Anthony repairs the areas that need repairing, applies a solution to ensure the plaster adheres to the walls, then plasters. I would highly recommend Anthony Randolph Plastering & Drywall Restoration. When the kitchen remodel is finished, I plan to add pictures.

Anthony is a true professional at his craft and has the heart of a teacher (see note below), not just a salesman who does drywall repair. He takes EXTENSIVE PRIDE in his work and ensuring you are satisfied with his work. I was VERY impressed with Anthony and will not bother to get estimates next time? just book the work with him and move on. Regarding his price? he was much lower than two other quotes I had gotten from local ?friend of a friend? connections. I wish I could post pictures of how well the texture matched? you CANT SEE IT AT ALL. RE Heart of a teacher?. He enjoys his craft and took the time to ?show me the tricks? of basic dry wall repairs? even left me the texture brush so I can do small ceiling repairs myself the next time. Hired on two occasions. Prompt, polite, professional. You won't be disappointed.

Covered flooring and furniture with drop cloth or painter's plastic. Removed damage areas of ceiling and insulation. Inspected the rafters for mold and treated. Installed new insulation and sheetrock. Drywalled seams with easy sand compound and nylon, drywall all corners with easy sand compound and paper tape; primed ceiling area to be textured, applied medium texture to the ceiling and light weight joint compound for the third and final skim coat. Mr. Randolph is very professional and personable.

Mr. Randolph?s skill and talent with drywall restoration is exceptional! I had several areas in my house where plumbers had cut out large sections of drywall and other areas where settlement cracks had caused the drywall to bubble. I called Mr. Randolph and he was quick to answer my call and come to my house to give me an estimate. He returned to complete the work on time and was extremely efficient and professional. His work is beautiful! I am so pleased with this company and highly recommend it for all your drywall needs. Really, don?t waste your time with other restoration companies. Awesome job! Mr. Randolph installed drywall and repaired walls, replaced and painted trim and painted ceilings. The house was in bad shape. Each room had a different texture. Some walls were beadboard, some had swirls, the ceilings had wood on them in some places. It was a hodge podge lodge of texture. He installed sheetrock and re-mudded where necessary. Nothing but compliments from visitors now. Aside from the technical excellence of the painting and the drywall, what I really like is his partnership. He's the expert and he tells you what will work and won't work. He explains what it's going to look like when he's done. He also: Moved what needed to be moved Installed ceiling fans Installed a new door bell I wouldn't use anyone else to paint or do sheetrock.

Anthony and his team did an excellent job on my home. Ensured that the work was to my satisfaction and even repaired some work done previously by a lazy contractor. Profession, friendly, and quality work, Would definitely hire or recommend again!

I called and rec'd an estimate at end of May, he scheduled a time for the estimate but then called 1 hour before to make an excuse as to why he could not be there at the time he had proposed. He assumed that I could accommodate his schedule. I could NOT as I had a plane to catch. He showed up close to the time he had suggested and did NOT measure as the other contractors had done. This should have been a red flag. He gave me a quote, it was the lowest of the three. I told him I wanted the work to start promptly on 30JUN. That gave him one month to obtain all necessary permits and schedule effectively. I emailed again mid June to make sure he would get the Norfolk permits, he assured me that there was no structural change so permits were not needed. This was in direct contrast to what I had read on the city of Norfolk website. Still I was anxious to get work done so I stupidly ignored my instincts. He showed up on the designated day with no crew, no trash container for all the demo, but a tape measure and plans to go to the city that morning. I was livid! He finally gets back to me with some contact at the city making excuses that this can't be done, he will loose his license etc etc etc??. so then I was desperate, he offered to at least do the demo, because I had an electrician scheduled in 2 days. He offered to demo for $750, but again he failed to show up. So my husband and I started the demo and got fairly far along before nightfall. The next day Anthony sent a email quote for the demo, but I told him we had already started and he agreed to finish it for $450, because my husband and I both had to go back to work. He showed up about noon with one young man and some trash bags, no tools, he borrowed my hammer and did some demo, not much. He and the boy left after an hour because it was too hot. He said he would be back between 7 and 730 pm. I rushed back from some errands to make sure I was home at 7 pm. I waited and waited and waited. He NEVER returned. I called and emailed and texted him and he finally called back after 830 pm and made excuses that he had forgotten that he was supposed to give an estimate and so he could not do the job of demo work he had promised me. Clearly he has time management issues, additionally I prompted him several times to get a permit, I also told him that I wanted the work completed with a FULL month lead time. He is a complete unprofessional failure. I encourage all reading this review to NOT use ANTHONY RANDOLPH for any reason.

When I moved into my home it had popcorn ceilings. There was also evidence of previous water damage to several areas throughout the ceilings downstairs. The problems that caused the damage had long been fixed. Now that I'm contemplating selling my home, I needed to do some updates, including removing the popcorn and fixing the damage. I learned of Mr. Randolph from Angie's List after the 2009 Nor'easter caused significant damage to my home. His reviews were excellent and I, too, was very pleased with his work, so of course I called him for this job. He did exactly what I expected. He arrived on time, took care in moving and covering my furnishings. His pace was phenomenal, the dust was relatively minimal, and he took care to clean up large dusty areas daily (you have to expect some dust). A consummate professional. As a single woman I'm leery of contractors. Mr. Randolph took care to explain without patronizing me and gave me a daily run down. He was respectful of both me and my time He made cost saving suggestions and he always delivered more than I expected. I've referred him to 3 of my friends and my neighbor is using him next.

Did an excellent job. Took the time to explain what he was going to do and why. Took his time to show us how to temper the walls with the design the builder put in. Very clean and professional. Did everything he said he would and more. His finished product looked just like the day we moved in. It will be hard to see any tell tale areas of the damage, he blended the repairs so well. No matter how small or large the job is, I whole heartily recommend Mr.Randolph!

Mr. Randolph and his crew were professional, courteous, and thorough. They hung plastic sheeting to keep dust from getting downstairs and cleaned up thoroughly. They removed all old tiles and completed the work in two days. I can't say how impressed I am with my new ceiling!

I have an 12x18 studio that I needed finished. I had attempted the job myself, but never seemed to have enough time to get it done, and putting up drywall by yourself is no fun. Anthony came by and gave me a good price and did an excellent job. He even showed up the night before he was sechuduled to drop off the drywall because it was supposed to rain the next day. It was done very quickly and the walls have a nice smooth finish. It is now ready for primer and paint. If you need drywall done, Anthony is your man. Steve

He was on time, and covered the area to limit the mess. He cut the damaged drywall correctly the first time with out a lot of mess. He did a excellent job of putting in the swirl pattern so you can't tell the difference between the old and the new drywall. He let me watch and gave me some pointers on how he did it so I can tackle a small project next time. When he finished he cleaned up all of his mess. He was very professional and courteous; I would recommend him any time.

I called Anthony for an estimate and he returned my call within a day. We set up an appointment and within a few days I received an estimate which my husband and I accepted. He started on the scheduled day and worked solid until the drywall was completed. The suppliers of the doors made a mistake on one which held up finishing the job, but Anthony got as much done so we could go ahead with the scheduled carpet installation. As soon as the door was in he returned to finish the job and cleaned everything up. The room looks great and my husband and I are very pleased. Anthony is not only skilled at what he does, but he is a solid business man with old school values which I consider greatly in my decision to hire someone. I would absolutely recommend him!

These guys were fantastic. Very punctual, and professional. I will definitely be recommending them to friends and family! (They even came out on a Saturday, a day after the estimate was accepted) The finished texture matched exactly to what was there as well. These guys are great!

One of the best contractors I've worked with! Here's why: I submitted a request for a quote via Angie's List and received a phone call from Mr. Randolph within 4 hours (he called from the airport while in route home from a trip). Right away - this impressed me. He set a date / time to come to our home to assess and provide an estimate. He arrived right on time and provided a written estimate via email within 24 hours. I had a few questions about the estimate which he promptly answered. The work was scheduled within 2 weeks of accepting the estimate. At start of work, Mr. Randolph arrived on time, spent time to protect our hardwood floors and carpet and began the work. All work was completed as specified within 3 days. During the process, clean-up was done prior to leaving for the day and a very thorough cleaning done at completion of all work. Approximately 1 week after work was completed, I noticed that the texture on the ceiling repairs in 1 room were not as well done as other areas. I emailed Mr. Randolph about this - and within 4 hours he was at my front door to address (awesome service!). He assessed and came back 2 days later to address the texture issues to my satisfaction. All in all, Mr. Randolph and his associate were very polite, professional and conscientious. I would gladly have them back in my home to do future work.

Anthony was on time, polite, HONEST (he found a piece of jewelry in our dryer vent!), professional, and an overall nice guy. His crew was the same. I would DEFINITELY use his services again and will most definitely refer him to others!!!

Contacted this company to come and do a job. He came out promptly to survey the job and said that he would give an estimate. Here I am a week later and I still have not heard anything from the guy! Very unprofessional! If you can't (or don'thave time to do the job) say so, and I can find someone else. Glad that your business is doing so well that you don't have to get back to folks.

I had a kitchen remodel and had some drywall plaster work that had to be done very quickly and Anthony came as soon as he could and ensured that the job was done so that I could keep the rest if the project in schedule. He repaired all of the drywall that needed to be fixed in the kitchen and did a fantastic job. He is very nice, personable, and hard working. You can also count in him to start the project when he says he will.

The experience overall went very well. Anthony was very polite and professional. The end result of the cut out looked very good and the price he gave us was exceptional! we would definitely use him again if we need any plaster or drywall work done!

I always call Anthony for drywall/plaster work! Master bedroom ceiling beginning to crack/sag. Anthony + team installed drywall over existing ceiling after we discussed options, seemed best route for my situation. Also repaired small section of plaster in foyer ceiling from radiated heat pipe rip out. True professional every time, and provided expert clean up after project completed. Highly recommend!!

Anthony Rudolph is by far the best "worker" that I have ever used. He is honest, punctual. knowledgeable, professional and is work is flawless. He does not cut corners, does the job right with a very very fair price. Not only would I recommend him, I have been promoting him to all the other "workers" (plumbers, electricians that are coming thru my house), friends, co-workers that I can. Oh.....and he makes sure your house is clean before he leaves.
