I would definitely not hire Kenny again. He has anger issues. Work wise, he finished ceiling dry wall repair decent however detail finish and electrical work (requested 3 recessed light cans and he installed 4 or 5) were under par. Two of cans dont match the existing cans nor his own that he purchased. Lights were not installed flush; gapped and he only installed one of the gaskets that come w the lights to hide gaps... which would probably not help anyway since they are not flush. Cleanup.. there was brown soot from insulation that came down all over cabinets and other.. somewhat okay (I cleaned and scrubbed) but they swept chunks of drywall and other debris behind and under the washer and dryer to hide before leaving. On top of that, base contract was clear.. given price for time and material for first exploration hole. For amendment to finalize, labor was included but he was to show receipts per our contract. When complete, he 'wrote' down a price. When price questioned, stormed out yelling and threatening me to face in dark (its luckily recorded). He insisted on meeting Sunday night and unfortunately power was out too so pitch black. Keeping calm, I asked if we could review the contract several times... Anyway he left. The next day, he sent text pictures of receipts.. two large ones were blurry. Upon in person review, they include HVAC and another equipment/items that were not for my job. Plus he was wanting an additional 250 labor for painting the patch only that was in the original contract to paint the patch under labor. Contract total was $2,350. He claimed parts and other labor total was 3035. I paid him 2950. Parts were only 365; which I had no issue with. I paid the extra labor to cut losses.. I wanted him gone after the threats. Just to mention, when you sign his handwritten contract, take a picture if it. I did. The one he showed me in the dark had other added verbiage.. Other photos available from other device upon request. Mb
