Description of Work: Big O came out this afternoon for a fall weed & feed treatment, a practice we have had them do for several years. They always call just before arriving so we can get our animals in the house before they work. We appreciate their concern for our pets, one of the hallmarks of great service.

 + -1 moreThere was some kind of miscommunication about what they were going to do. I was not satisfied with what they did. It is one of those things where I thought what they charged for what they did was overpriced. But, I don't know how much of a misunderstanding there was about what they were to do. I did call them and talk to them about it. There did not seem to be any way to resolve it after the fact.
Description of Work: Over in the Staunton area we used Big O Tree and Lawn. They were supposed to do some work around my dad's house. They were supposed to prune shrubs and remove a large juniper.

 + -1 moreCrew showed up 8am and worked all through the day. They were very careful with the trucks and chipper making sure to not damage the yard. When they were done , other than the trees looking terrific, you would never know they had been here. Everything was raked up and tidy. We are very satisfied with the work they did. They really did a great job !
Description of Work: Trimmed 2 large oaks, 1 large mulberry and 12 other midsize trees to reduce exposure to winds and promote growth. Added a cable brace to a double trunked tree.

Description of Work: We had a large tree split and part of it fall during a small area tornado that came thru our city and county. When called they came and gave us an estimate for cutting down the tree. Their estimate was mid-way between the others we received. The only problem was that they were not able to do the work for almost 6 months due to being backed-up because of the tornado. Our tree had several liimbs over the top of our house so it was going to be a very difficult job. They called a week in advance and made the appointment, arrived on time and did an excellent job. We will definitely use them in the future.

 + 2 moreCalled Big O on 800 #. Julie answered saying she would give message to Randy whom heads up Lawn Fertilization and Treatment. But Randy would not be back from time off until 3 days later. Randy contacted us saying they were loaded with customer jobs into the future. Randy told us they don't aerate, over seed nor fertilize late into fall. Spring would be time to do these things. We decided to check on other lawn businesses.

 + -1 moreI use them for fertilizing the lawn. I just renew with them every year. They come every year 3 times a year, or 4 times a year, whichever I choose. They are outstanding and I've never had any trouble with them. They also put down weedkiller. I've never compared prices, but I think they are pretty good. They come when they come and the crew is excellent. I give them high ratings and will continue to use them in the future.
