Terrible. The company did not install the driveway on the right side the same as the left (the left edge is saw cut for a flush finish). Grass is taking over my driveway. My driveway replaced in October 2020. There was no contact from the company, including offering to seal the driveway. In May 2022 I noticed grass growing up through the asphalt on the right side of the driveway and contacted the company. Joseph Beausoleil responded, “Unfortunately we cannot control vegetation in your yard. You may want to use a vegetation killer spray in areas you do not want grass.” Repeated attempts to get the company to repair the right side were ignored. In September 2022, I finally heard from Billy Watts who gave me an estimate of the repair (at no cost). Repeated efforts to schedule the repair have been ignored. Emails to the company bounce back. Phone calls go to voicemail and are not returned. I am still waiting for a repair as of 22 September 2023.

The initial installation went well - one issue was identified which needed correction and responsiveness was slower than what I was comfortable with (hence the "B"). But the team showed up, corrected the issue, were very professional and thorough in their tasks and did a very nice job on a follow-up sealing of the new driveway.

April 2016: After getting estimates from various providers, i chose Washington for price and pictures on their website. When they first repaved the driveway, they said they would come in the morning but came in the afternoon. They completed the driveway work late in the evening. It looked nice at first. During the same time i had another contractor working on another project at the house and as soon as he saw the driveway, he said the driveway is uneven. I am not an expert so i couldn't tell. That spring, and the summer, i would have puddles in my driveway and my boys couldn't play basketball for hours after the rain was gone. I got busy with work and travel so just couldn't get to talk to Washington about the issue. So in November 2017, I reached out to Joe about the issues we were having and i also sent him the pictures. It took me countless number of emails, phone calls and false promises for them to come out and patch the driveway. Now in July 2018, i still get puddles on the driveway after the rain. And i noticed another serious issue is that because they added 3 inches of asphalt over existing driveway, rain water now flows closer to the house right next to it than before when the driveway was lower and water was flowing away from the house. I am not sure If i can get them to fix this driveway But i wanted to share my experience so other customers are informed. Being expert in the area, I wished Joe and Washington pavement advised me on how rain water would flow when raising the driveway by 3 inches. But I have to say that Joe was polite and respectful every time i called him and whenever i was able to speak to him. But the quality of work wasn't what I expected.

Washington Pavements, LLC appear on the scheduled date, but not until after 1:00 pm. I would have preferred they told me I was the second job that day so I could plan accordingly, as I had to leave prior to finishing the job. The crew members were polite and worked quickly. The owner, Joe, performed the actual laying of the asphalt and his crews prepped and finished the job. The one concern I have is that I was quoted a 3.5" asphalt layer, compacted to 3.0". I observed almost the entire process, and I am sure that a few parts of the driveway do not have that much asphalt-I am now concerned I will be looking at a resurfacing sooner than expected, but that is still years away barring unforeseen issues. They do warranty their work for seven years if you use their sealcoating maintenance, which they recommend you do a few months after the initial job and then every two years thereafter (the seal coat is about twice the cost, but if done every two years is a wash when compared to other sealcoat companies in this area). Their pricing for a replacement driveway was on the lower end, not exactly the cheapest but the warranty exceeded the standard one year warranty offered by four other contractors.

The owner and his team did a great job on our project. Their estimate was competitively priced vs another company. They scheduled the work promptly, arrived on time, the owner attended and worked on site throughout the job, and the work was completed to my satisfaction on schedule and on budget. We just had this work completed so can't comment on durability and follow through on warranty, but will follow up with our experience. I would highly recommend Washington Paving for this type of work.

They were excellent. Now we can actually fit four cars. Their price was very reasonable. Everyone else went either double or more than double of their price. They actually came out and did an estimate. The others just called me and talked to me about it as well as gave me an estimate over the phone which was weird. They didn't even bother coming out and they didn't even see anything. He was extremely professional and very responsive. They were fast. They cleaned up.

They did a nice job with the installation but the asphalt pavement sank under the weight of a car parked on it for a month. One area in the middle sank a lot and the pavement broke up there. Jack stands and a floor jack sink into the pavement while changing the car oil. In April of 2014 they stopped by to repair the hole and seal the surface. The estimate was a few hundred dollars but the charge was $1500. The sealant part was fine but the repair is still soft and I do not believe that the base has improved. Time will tell. Then they stopped by a week later to spray a "better" sealant for an additional charge. I refused that service. They blamed the base material for the problems. The original driveway was about 6 inches thick. This one seems 2 to 3 inches thick which is what was agreed upon but might not be enough to support the weight of a stationary vehicle. Overall I'm unhappy with the results and the "repair" charge. I do not doubt that they can do a good job for a reasonable charge but this wasn't one of them.

It was a bad experience. When it was initally done, the ashphalt was not smooth. Within the first year, the edges of the work were not done well and it caused the rest of the work to fall apart. We noticed within the first year the driveway was not smooth in many areas. I was given a 2 year warranty and Joe, the owner, came back and cut away some parts and added new asphalt . He was very hard to get to come out to look at the driveway when we contacted him. He was not responsive and I had to threaten him with legal action for him to come back out. The new edges have now fallen apart and the dirt is now coming up through the cracks.
Description of Work: We have a 200 ft driveway. For half of the driveway (100 ft.), we had them remove the old ashphalt and repave. The other half of the driveway (100 ft.) was resurfaced.

I called them because my side walk of the pavement was wearing away. I called twice and they were polite and they said that they would come but they never came. I had a one year warranty which was on a receipt but they never responded. They answered phone and said that they would come but never came as it’s been a long time about six months now. That wasn’t very nice as they didn’t do as they had guaranteed. I was really disappointed. I thought that the owner was really nice. When he came, he was here to supervise the whole job. He worked actually also and not only just watching. They tried really hard because they did a great job and I was very pleased. I felt that they went above and beyond to make it look really nice and then it fell apart. It’s not torn apart but about 12’’-8’’ to the ground have just worn apart. It happened right away like after two weeks and I also told them it had started tearing and if they could come to repair it before it tore apart but now its big patch that has torn away. I think that people should know that it wasn’t right for them of not coming to fix it. I would not use them until they come back. If they come back then they will prove to me that they understand that they did something that wasn’t right and their overall work was good but it was just that they should come back and fix that.

I'll admit, I had a frustrating time finding someone interested in paving my ~50' driveway in Arlington. I contacted about 10 places, and got all sorts of responses from no respose to "I don't do Arlington" to "It's too expensive for me to come up there" to "I have to charge you extra to get my truck on your street" to "Why don't you contact your neighbors and call me when you have 4 or 5 of you..." Joe Beausoleil at Washington Pavements was the exception. He called me back quickly, came by, and gave me a written estimate/bid on the spot. I waited another week to hear from a couple more vendors, and was successful in getting only two more actual bids, both verbal (still waiting for the written bid on them...). Satisfied that Joe's price was in the same ballpark (his was the lowest of the three numbers I did hear, but basically within $50 of the second one I received), I went with him. I signed his bid and got onto his schedule. A last-minute day change didn't bother me as it actually worked out better for our schedule. He and his crew showed up on the appointed day by 8:30 am and worked efficiently, grading down my old gravel driveway, digging the pipe for the downspout water to drain away, and laying and flattening the asphalt. They were finished by 11:30 am, and cleaned up--didn't leave a mess in the yard or anything. Joe himself was on-site the entire time (near as I could tell), with a crew of about 4 or 5. The new driveway looks fabulous, and Joe takes obvious pride in his work. He was eager to show me how they did the drainpipe and how he made sure to grade the asphalt away from the house so rain would drain better. It's clear he likes what he does and he is comfortable in the "retail" residential driveway niche. (I am not sure the other vendors I contacted were so). I would recommend him and his crew highly. His price was fair. It was more than I wanted to spend, but the price of the materials is such that anybody's price would have been high, and his price was the lowest of the 3 I actually received.

We obtained estimates from several contractors. After doing our due diligence, e.g. checking reference, reading reviews, etc. we selected this contractor the pave our 5,000 square foot driveway and install a 21'X21' concrete pad. The contractor informed us that the work would be scheduled to start in approximately two weeks. When we did not hear from the contractor two weeks later, I contacted him to find out when the work would be scheduled. He informed me that he would start the following Tuesday. The contractor was scheduled to arrive at the property at 4:30PM to mark the areas. My husband left work early to meet the contractor at the scheduled time. The contractor never showed up. I received a message from him approximately three hours. He apologized for not showing up, stated that he was at another site where he needed to complete the work, and asked to reschedule for the next morning. Although I thought he should have contacted us earlier, I agreed to reschedule for the following morning at 7 o'clock. Again, the contractor did not show up for the appointment, and to this day, we have not heard anything from him. We spent a great deal of time investigating contractors before we selected one. Now, because of this contractor's flagrant un-professionalism and complete disregard for other people's time, we have to start the process all over again.

They started work very promptly that morning and finished about 6 hours later. The work went a lot quicker than I had imagined, but given the amount of equipment and workers (6-ish), I guess I shouldn't be surprised. They cleared out everything that needed to be cleared- the retaining wall, the extra dirt, etc. I asked them to save the stone facing off the retaining wall, which they did and managed to save just about every piece perfectly. They proceeded to lay the stone base followed by the asphalt. The finished driveway is great-it looks great and everything looks properly sloped and finished.
Description of Work: I originally had a dirt/rock/grass driveway that ran along the side of my house. It's approximately 3-4 car lengths long. I had Washington Pavement create a brand new driveway, which also included widening the front to two car widths wide. This involved taking down a small retaining wall and grading out the dirt. Additionally, they took out an old chain link fence along the property line.

They were higher than anybody else was, so I did not use them. The guy who came out was polite. He was more expensive than I felt. I can't tell much about him. He just gave me an estimate, and I don't know what kind of work he did. He was 40% more expensive than the guy I chose. It is very subjective because I can't talk much other the quality. Everything was good apart from the 40% higher quote.

Had difficulty getting any vendor to even respond to my email or phone messages. Washington Pavements responded immediately and Mr. Beausoleil provided separate estimates for driveway and sidewalk. I was not sure at the time the estimate was made if I would proceed with the sidewalk. When I called to schedule installation, the owner said that they could come within days, if I wanted.
