Victory Van Corporation - Allied Van lines

Excellent. Our household goods arrived on-time and undamaged. Kudos to their estimator, Paul Carter, who did a much more thorough job than his competitors and gave Victory the advantage in aggressively pricing their services.

Had 2 trucks. 1 was 30 mins late and the other 3 hours late. Admin team was terrible at communicating and couldn't locate the 2nd truck for a couple hours. 2nd truck was late because the driver/supervisor had personal car issues, Admin tried to say it was the truck but he admitted that it was his personal car. As the supervisor wouldn't you think it would be responsible for calling and letting us know where you are and why you are late or at least when you will be there? Apparently he didn't think he should communicate directly with us bc he didn't. Only recommend if you want bad communication and movers arriving late. I was upset about the first truck being 30 mins late didn't realize that I was lucky they came when they did because the other truck...yikes SMH. See photo of the 2nd truck arriving at 10:56am

they did our moving /storage , supposed to come at 9AM , arrived at 3PM with a small truck, where as we needed 2 big trucks. Finally another truck came, as one was small, they had to squeeze everything, they were at our house until 10pm. Delaying us from cleaning up our house for next day closing. Such a nightmare. they had to deliver our stuff to new house after few days , so we had to use storage facilities. And unloading was another nightmare, again came late , and didn't come with all the stuff, they came with half the stuff, and didn't had clue what was going on. only 2 people came , with damaged furniture(due to all squeezed furniture was badly damaged), the workers who came to unload were very rude, lazy and dropped stuff on our floor, damaged floor of our new house. other half of the furniture came 2 days later. Again same rude lazy guys. I think they sun contract the unloading part, to other contractors, and those guys don't have a any clue. Stay away from this company. There is no need to go through this nightmare after spending thousands of dollars. All you will end with damaged furniture. Only reason we went with them is they were owned by "Allied ", thought as they are big company, will do a better job. Lesson learned.

I first used Victory Vans in 2007 and had a very positive experience and decided to use them again with this bigger and more complicated move. The crew they sent to pack our things was very professional and very careful. They put all of our packed items ultimately into large wooden crates to go into storage. I then called them when we sold our condo and had bought a house and they were able to work with my schedule to get everything delivered. There was one small hiccup on timing coming from storage to the house on the actual day but it was resolved and the crew was really great. They treated all our belongings with respect and took the time to place the big items where we wanted them. Getting an estimate was a good process - they sent Neal out to do the estimate and explain the process since I had never put things like that into storage before between moves. Neal was very professional and responsive. I then worked with Stephanie who managed the move from there and she was also very responsive. She checked in both moving days to see how things were going which was helpful.

It did not go well. The service provider in question told me that I would need four movers to move less than 20 items like end tables and chairs and charge 670.00 to move me to a 2 bedroom apartment five miles away. There were no boxes that needed to be moved at all. This service provider did not even acknowledge my Angies list coupon for his services. I used another company before and they were going to charge me just for 400.00 and only need two movers. I would not recommend this provider

The packers were excellent, they worked fast and thoroughly. Nothing was broken. The movers were efficient and very helpful. They were professional. We had one incident in which a sofa didn't fit into basement. There was wall damage and some damage to sofa. The cost of repairs was covered promptly by insurance.

We tried calling them back multiple times to negoiate but typically could not get someone on the phone and needed to wait for a callback. Callbacks typically took 2 day.s

Very professional. Took great care. Nothing damaged. Not even scuff marks on the walls!

The crew that was sent was excellent. They wasted no time and handled each of our items as if it was their own. Thery were on time and efficient. The whole experience was outstanding from the estimate, to the scheduling of the move, to the move itself. We will recommend Victory Van to all of our friends and will use them again.

They had to get everything to the right place. In the meantime, I was running back and forth between the two cities, doing renovations of the houses, so they're moved in at the right time. It worked out very, very well. These people were very organized. They were supposed to pick our furniture up on October 15th, which they did. I had gotten very sick and was not going to make the deadline of packing my own stuff. So I called them the day before and told them I was going to need extra help, and they were there the next morning. They were very helpful and very organized. Everything occurred exactly as they said it would and cost exactly what they said it would. My father had a dreadful experience with a mover, so I was quite fretful about my stuff being moved. But they did excellent work and exactly what they said they were going to do. We're pleased with them.

Mostly, move went well. A couple of items were damaged and the subjects of insurance claims. However, considering the large size of the move, damage was altogether light.

Everything went well with the job. The packers were inefficient in the packing. As we were emptying boxes, we came across many that seemed to have much less in them than could have fit. This made for more boxes in our move than were necessary. This was minor in comparison of the services of the crew that did the loading and unloading of the moving van. We were very impressed with the lead, Stephen, and with the crew. When the work in completed on our new home, we will definitely contact this driver for a quote to move our things out of storage.

The staff was punctual and highly professional. the only knock was that the mover became more careless and rushed at the end of the move. Some slight damage to some storage items and one door was not replaced. These were very minor in the scope of the large move. We were very happy overall and rate as the best of our 4 previous moves.

Once the work was completed they told me I owed an additional $172 for fuel and travel time. That was not what was stated in the Big Deal offer. I made the payment in cash at the time of completion. Stephanie from Victory Van stated that she discussed the terms with Angie's List. I feel this is deceptive business practice. I received an invoice from Victory Van for the amount of $499 as well dated 1/9/2015 which I had already paid through Angie's List. When they got there, they were straightening up the truck etc. I felt they were doing things that should have been done before they got there. I called the office and expressed my concerns since I had paid for an hourly service. The crew wouldn't even talk to me after the office relayed the information. They added an additional 30 minutes on to the time frame to make up for it and after a while it was fine.

I contacted 3 moving companies-United Van, Allied, and Mayflower. United put me off entirely-they didn't even want to do an estimate until mid January. Mayflower couldn't seem to understand my needs or have any suggestions about how to handle this complicated move. Allied Van Lines sent me Paul Skolaski of Victory Van Corporation. Our initial phone conversation was very helpful. Paul immediately grasped my needs and made several suggestions about how to handle 2 separate shipments. At the appointment for an estimate he came prepared with all the information I needed, including storage costs. He made accurate estimates for both shipments and gave me preparation tips. Since I was arranging the move but my parents in Ohio were paying, contracts had to be emailed to both of us, signed and returned. Both my father and I had trouble with our printers that day and Paul was patient throughout. The boxes went one day and the furniture the next. Both crews were friendly and professional-hard workers who packed and loaded my possessions with care. They communicated well and understood my need to move my 15 year old dog around as they worked. I received calls from the move coordinator, Stephanie Hopkins, and from Paul Skolaski during both move days, as well as a followup call. I was a military wife for 19 years and have had some really bad moves that lasted well into the night. I am disabled and quite frankly this move scared me. It shouldn't have-Victory Van had everything under control.

My overall experience went well. The workers were great. They did damage some of my belongings but it was a big move. They were quick and efficient. They were inexpensive compared to others.

My experience was excellent. They were very friendly. There were 5 people picking up my belongings and 6 people at the pick up location.

They were excellent. The office manager, Stephanie, was very well versed on every aspect of the move, the rulez and had great customer service. Bill, the salesmen, was great, as well. The packers did a great job, they were neat and very helpful. There was a miss communication between the movers and the administration office but they ironed it out quickly. I felt their pricing was extremely fair.

My expereince was horrible. They are not very responsive and we have many items that were lost or misssing. I would never use them again.

They were pretty good to work with. They were pretty responsive and helpful. Scheduling an appointment was very good.

The headquarters communication with the customer was terrible. They gave inaccurate information. Part of my furniture was missing 5-6 days. They kept telling me it was on another truck. No one could ever say where it was. The driver and movers were very good, no problems with the movers.

Allied/Victory were the only movers to commit to a last minute pack and move. Their estimator showed up when scheduled and was courteous and professional. Victory's move coordinator, the same. Packers arrived on schedule and did a great job. They finished in three hours. The only hitch in the entire process was a late pickup on move day. However, the driver remained in touch and kept me informed of his progress getting to my place. The upside was that my things were going to my destination on the same truck and the same driver would be delivering. The driver, Andre, with ABC moving in MA was exceptional. He arrived at the delivery place on time. None of my things were damaged and the shipment included an old grandfather clock which was handled with great care. The price I paid was as quoted. These guys are straight shooters. I recommend them highly.

Terrible experience. The crew did show up within the window I was given to start the loading, but they did not behave professionally and they were not gentle with our things. Not all the furniture was sufficiently wrapped. The movers didn't spot each other so they were forever banging my furniture into things as they carried it. Many, many items were soiled or damaged. Examples include: 1) A leaf from my diningroom table was significantly damaged because it was dropped on its corner. 2) The mirror to my master bedroom set was damaged because they hit it on the ceiling as they carried it. 3) The legs to my couch and my coffee and end tables were scratched. 4) Drywall was damaged at both origin and destination. What makes the damage even more frustrating is that it could all have been avoided if the movers had just taken more time and care. I mean, the legs to my couch just screw on and could have been easily detached for moving. Instead they weren't wrapped and the dark wood got all scratched when they loaded the couch into the truck. We did not purchase "extra" insurance which would have covered replacement value, and shame on us. Instead when we filed our damage claim, we were directed to a 3rd party claims company who promptly advised us that we were only eligible for a nominal amount. I'm supposedly receiving a check for $174, though I haven't seen the check yet. Don't repeat our mistakes, and don't use this moving company!!!

I was referred to Victory Van by a neighbor and immediately I was impressed with their customer service. The estimator was prompt, thorough, and had helpful information to prepare me for my move. The moving crew took care of my things and my house while they blanket wrapped and disassembled my furniture. They were very polite and kind to my children who were fascinated by the big truck out front. They moved us out of our 5 bedroom, 5800 sq ft home efficiently and in one day. I'm so thankful I had 5 man crew that day. They work well as a team and it really helped balance the work load. Definitely worth the little extra to have a larger crew!! During the entire process, the customer service representative communicated with me making sure they were on time and I was happy. After the crew delivered and set up my furniture where and how I wanted it, customer service followed up for my input regarding the move. Great company. Great crew. I hope I never move again, but if I do I will be calling Victory Van.

We recently moved and Victory Van provided the utmost in professional service. Our estimator came to the house and was very detailed in his assessment, which provided an accurate price. Since we decided to pack the house ourselves, he offered us free used boxes in their warehouse. All we had to do was go pick them up. This added value saved us hundreds of dollars. The movers were scheduled to arrive at our house between 8am and 10am. We received a phone call the day before to let us know that they would be at the house around 9am and they arrived right on time. There were 5 people in the crew and the crew chief, John, did a walk through with me to inventory the house and explain the process of how they were going to move everything. They wrapped all of our furniture well and took very good care of our items as they moved and loaded them on the truck. We have quite a bit of stuff but they worked quickly and carefully all day. Our house is 5600 sf and they completely emptied it in 6 hours, including a 30 minute break for lunch. Not one item was damaged in the process. We moved to a house in the same neighborhood but we had a 5 day gap between our move out date and our move in date. Because of this, we needed Victory Van to store our items for 5 days. Rather than unload the truck and reload it again a few days later, our items were stored on the truck in their secure warehouse. We felt great about this plan as it reduced the possiblity of any of our item's being damaged. On move in day, the truck and movers again arrived right on time and with the same crew who originally loaded the truck. John, the crew chief, did a walkthrough with me to explain the move in process and get the details on where everything would go. Again they worked quickly and carefully to get everything unloaded and were very mindful of our items. Unloading the truck took less time than loading and this time they didn't take a break for lunch. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves and thanked us for using their company. We have since unpacked everything and not one item was damaged. Victory Van made moving, which is never easy or fun, a much easier experience for me and my family. I would absolutely recommend them to any person or company who has an upcoming move.
