Winkhel, the proprietor, is a consummate craftsman -- trustworthy, flexible, innovative, exacting, very personable, clean, considerate, fast, courteous, accurate and always with a smile. Winkhel takes real pride in his work, treating it like a fine work of art (which it is). He's of course very popular and you may have to wait awhile for him to do your project, but it's well worth the wait.

They were extremely careful with the large, heavy piece of blue pearl granite. They removed it and re-installed it without any breakage or damage, which I was very happy about. We discussed how to install the new steel brackets, with consideration to the existing tiles and outlet boxes on the other side of the pony wall. They explained what they were doing and made me feel confident about the process. They were polite, professional, and efficient; the entire job took about 3 hours. I am very happy with the finished work, the breakfast bar is beautiful and strongly supported. It's now safe for my young child. The look is very clean; the bar appears to be floating and there is nothing to knock your knees against. I am totally pleased with the work and very happy that I hired Countertop Guru.

It went great. Winkhel was extremely helpful in choosing the quality and color of the granite and worked with us on the price. He was very responsive to all our phone calls and questions. He also put the seam where it would be less noticable although it meant that one of the pieces would be larger and harder to handle. I would use him again in a flash.

This is a small job and I knew a lot of firms would not be interested in it. I called around and the Countertop Guru said they would do it. They did a perfect job, correct alignment on the edges, doors look great. I believe Winkhel the Operations Manager did the work himself. In my experience, a firm that pays attention to details on a small job can be trusted on big jobs.

Winkle and his crew did a great job replacing my countertops! He even managed to complete the job with two solid slabs of granite with no seams! (others I called wouldn't attempt this with my three story walk up) I had a couple of estimates along with an online estimate from Lowe's and his price was definitely the best too. He also took time to explain each step and weigh in on my opinions as well

Due to budget constraints, we were originally going to install laminate countertops in an apartment I was renovating. However, when Winkel came out to give me an estimate, he said he could do granite instead of laminate for only a few hundred dollars more than the laminate would cost. Winkel came out to give the estimate and was right on time. We agreed on the materials and price and he wrote up a contract on the spot. We scheduled the work for the following week. We had one long countertop, two small countertops next to the stove and a bar top. A tall backsplash was installed between the long countertop and bar top and regular height side and backsplashes were installed with the small pieces. The crew did a very good job of notching and scribing the pieces that needed to be modified onsite. I will definitely use The Countertop Guru again.
