The service repairman was punctual, courteous, and communicated each step of his troubleshooting. It was very helpful to know what he was doing to troubleshoot.

They did a good job. They fixed it for me.

Whole process went well. They had a good selection of quality dishwashers in stock. They delivered it on time as promised and the whole thing went smoothly, after the technician explained how he would have to fit the dishwasher into existing counter space. Salesman was friendly but not pushy. Installation technician was outstanding and flexible and explained all options for best fit and made it fit well.

Tech arrived promptly, did his job well, was honest and submitted a reasonably priced bill. What more could you ask for.

Contacted Sterling Appliance for repair based on Angies List comments and scheduled an appt within the week. The appliance mechanic arrived within minutes of the appointed time and promptly put booties on when entering the house. I described the nature of the squeek and he knew immediately what the problem was and he pulled the parts out of the truck without requiring a followup. During the repair, the representative informed me of other noises I may encounter and what they might need. In 45 minutes, the dryer was quiet again and I was an informed customer. While the repair was expensive due to the house call and the minimum repair charge, I will call them again when I need another service call.

While shopping for a replacement Bosch dishwasher-checked the available models at Sterling Appliances which is a relatively small shop. Found Chris who was very helpful in discussing the models on display. The difference compared to the other appliance dealers was the lack of pressure to buy and to buy the more expensive models and their fee for delivery and to remove the old dishwasher was fair. The delivery was on schedule and the installer, Miguel, was efficient and careful.

The repairman ran a series of diagnostic tests on our washing machine but couldn't find anything wrong with it. We said it would get stuck in the finishing cycle, leave too much water in the drum and just stop. We didn't have any fail codes from the machine to give him so we weren't that much help. He said if we needed to have the pump replaced, it was worth it because that only cost about $100. If it was a computer or instrumentation problem, the cost of repair would be prohibitive. That was helpful information. He said the $80 service fee was good for a month in case we were still having problems. And later that day, we ran a load of laundry. The machine promptly concluded its wash cycle and dumped about 2 extra gallons of water into the drum. We bought a new machine the next day.

The appointment was made promptly, and the serviceman showed up on time and was neat, courteous, and fixed the machine on the first visit.

My dishwasher was leaking water onto the kitchen floor. The service man from Sterling was able to determine the door was bent out of alignment thereby causing the water leak. He was able to align the door and so far so good there has not been any noticeable water leaking.

We purchased a new dishwasher along with a 4 year service warranty. Sterling Appliance installed the dishwasher After 3 years, we contacted them to service the unit. They replied that they were unable to service the dishwasher because it was placed into the space under the cabinet too tightly. After 3 visits and 3 weeks later (without a working dishwasher) they said that they could remove the legs of the dishwasher in order to make the repair in which case the dishwasher would be ruined, or we could choose to break up the floor tiles in order to remove it., These were the same tiles which were there when they initially installed the dishwasher. What was the point of them selling us a warranty when they installed a unit that was too snug to be removed? Had they advised us that the dishwasher unit was not an appropriated fit for the space we had available, we would have taken a different course of action. We asked that the warranty be refunded to which they agreed, but still have not received our refund. We ultimately hired another appliance service company to make the repair whcih was completed within a week of our call. It was not neccessary to remove the unit from under the cabinet. In the name of retaining a customer, they could have solved the problem by refunding our entire investment or offering to replace the unit and making the necessary repairs to the floor. They did not stand by their product and chose to do otherwise. We spoke to several different contacts at Sterling Appliance. Intitially, our discussions were cordial. Towards the end of this ordeal, they turned worthless and contradictory. We will NEVER do business with this company again.

It took Allen, the technician, just a few minutes to determine that a spring had moved out of place. He pushed it back to where it was supposed to be, explaining what he was doing each step of the way so that we can fix it ourselves if it happens again. He also gave me advice about other things that could go wrong with both the ice maker and the refrigerator and what might be the cause. I was very impressed with his knowledge, and I would definitely recommend Sterling Appliance.

Sterling is not the lowest-priced repair outfit around, but you get what you pay for, and their repairman Allen is a wizard. We will call Sterling to schedule a visit by Allen whenever we need a large appliance repair. Allen is prompt and efficient; unfortunately, there's only one Allen and we waited four days for each visit. Worth the wait, yes, but we wish they could clone him.

We made several visits to Sterling Appliance over the summer, just to ask questions and look at appliance models. Mark was always gracious, and patient, and would answer all of my questions, explain details of differences between companies' product lines, or models within a line. He never applied any pressure, or suggested that we and quot;buy now to lock in the price.and quot; After taking up about 2 hours of his time in total, we finally went back in during the first weekend of September and bought a dishwasher, microwave, range and refrigerator. They were able to schedule delivery for the following Friday. Then, they were able to swap refrigerators for me over the phone, and still keep the friday delivery time, when I realized that I needed a counter depth refrigerator, and had ordered a full depth refrigerator. During my months of popping in to ask questions, Mark would tell me point blank why one appliance was a good buy and why another one should be avoided. Even if I was looking at an expensive model, he was honest in why I might want to avoid it. I really appreciated that, and his patience, and that is why I went back to make my purchase there. They weren't the absolute cheapest price, but they were within my budget, and they had a great reputation, including an Angie's List Super Service Award. That was good enough for me. The day of delivery, Sean and Nick showed up, right smack in the middle of the delivery window. They were polite, and professional, and very careful with our floors and furniture. They worked efficiently, and I could tell as I watched that they were perfectionists. If they thought the stove or refrigerator was off-level, or wobbly. This kind of work ethic, sadly, is not that common anymore. I would have no reservations at all recommending anyone to use Sterling Appliance.

I called for service on my non working ice maker. A tech. came out and diagnosed what he thought was the problem but did not have the needed part with him. It was ordered and another tech came out to do the installation . It did not work so they sent two techs out to look. They were not able to make the repair so they advised I call sears who was able to get it working. I let the office know and they graciously refunded my money. I am grateful.

I called and received same day service within hours of my call. This was a delightful response and beat out Sears whose earliest appointment was the next afternoon and much more expensive. The folks in the office were very responsive and provided great follow-up to let me know that a repairman was dispatched. The repairman was thorough and honest in his evaluation. I own rental properties in addition to my own home and will definitely use Sterling Appliances in the future as needed.

I LOVE Sterling Appliance. They are your old-fashioned local appliance store. The sales people are knowledgeable and not at all pushy. Many years ago, the repaired both my gas dryer and refrigerator and did an excellent job. I've contacted them a number of times with repair questions, and they were always glad to help even though there was no sale involved. About 2 years ago, I purchased a microwave from them and more recently a gas stove. Each time, they have been patient, very informative, and extremely helpful. I had a problem with the microwave, and they resolved it immediately. For these 2 appliances, the delivery and installation was amazing -- very polite, careful, and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend Sterling Appliance.

They were very timely and helpful. Answered my questions and provided professional advise. Only disappointment was they it took a while to get an appointment. I called on Monday and they weren't available until the following week. Guess that's a sign they are good though.

It has been a month since my initial call and still the repairs are not complete. In addition they sent me a and quot;Friendly reminderand quot; to pay my bill.

The service man arrived on time and thoroughly evaluated our dishwasher, which had an occasional leak. He was unable to find an exact problem but did apply a bandaid fix and advised on a variety of next steps with various potential costs. I was very pleased with the service and we haven't had a problem with our dishwasher since. He even gave me some tips on how to make the dishwasher work more efficiently. We will definitely be using this company for future needs.

Dale did an excellent job, at first trying to determine if the hinge could be repaired and then taking care of ordering the new hinge in a timely manner. He was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. I would definitely call Sterling Appliance again.
