They did what they were supposed to do. I was very satisfied. They were prompt, polite and knew what they were doing.

The service guy was punctual and very professional. He came into my house and immediately put on shoe covers. He checked the mechanisms inside, went up into my attic to check the lines, then went outside and checked. He cleared the unit of all debris (leaves and grass clippings that had flown into the unit). He was speedy yet thorough. I was quite happy with the service provided.

That was fine. It ended up costing only the amount of the big deal. There were no additional charges. They seemed very knowledgeable. They checked what they were supposed to check. I probably would use them in the future.

Everything went satisfactorily, as described above. Although we eventually went with another company's HVAC system replacement offer, due to a better price on simultaneous replacement of our aging hot water tank, we were well pleased with the inspection service and the recommendation and estimate provided. As reflected by other raters posting on Angie's List, Snell is a top-tier professional outfit. I would call them again for future heating or air conditioning issues.

It was done very promptly, within a week of the deal. They very good about explaining about what the differences were, what the cause of the breakdown was. Their service was very responsive.

I called Snell since I'd seen so many positive reviews on Angie's List. They returned my call promptly, and while they couldn't come out for same-day service (I wasn't really expecting that anyway), they did schedule for the next day. The technician was a really nice guy and told us he'd let us know our options after he looked around. True to his word, he gave us 3 options for fixing the problem. We were happy it wasn't a bad pump--we took the least expensive solution. Everything seems to be fine with the AC now. Snell does exactly what they tell you they will do--provide costs up front and let YOU decide what works best for your situation. No high pressure sales or must-fixes. I will definitely use them again.

I have been very pleased with their service and appreciate the time their representatives take to answer my questions. With an older unit (now 12 years old) I had extra questions about how long I could expect it to function without major problems. Everything was clean and orderly when they left each visit. I was even advised not to bother with replacing my wall thermostat based on the patterns of use in my house.

Snell came to perform a diagnosis. My system was blowing, but not cooling. The actual ticket description of the diagnosis read "checked system, found unit a little low on R-22. Has home warranty." The tech said nothing was wrong my system other than low R-22. Logically, one would wonder why it is low on R-22 yet the tech could not tell me why or at least not for another fee of performing a leak test. Snell charges me for $100 to come out and tell me I'm low on R-22 although I am aware my system is not cooling, but blowing. I figured that 'not cooling' and low refrigerant was a bit obvious? The real question was why is my system was low on R-22? Basically, Snell wants to charge for a trip fee (viewing the obvious fee) and then charge for an actual diagnosis (determining the cause of the obvious). I since had 3 other companies come to perform a diagnosis. Their fees actually included a diagnosis determining the 'cause of the obvious problem'. Their ticket descriptions detailed the cause of low R-22 more than a 12 word diagnosis if it can be truly called that. These companies also didn't charge me unless I decided to have them perform the work, some still have enough ethic not to charge for an obvious observation (not diagnosis).

I don't think I could have gotten a much better price but it's hard to shop around and everybody has a corner on their own little market.

Overall, the service went well, the technician was courteous and professional. The technician performed tune-up on the furnace, checked all items associated with tune up and explained any issues that were noticed. As expected, the technician promoted the company's membership plan for servicing HVAC and A/C unit annually.

The technician was awesome. Explained the issue in a very clear and comprehensive manner. There is still a potential leak in the coil, which we will be able to better determine in the Spring. Added refrigerant for now and changed the fittings on the outside unit. The unit is only 3 years old, so there is still a 50/50 shot that it may have a pinhole leak, but it is also possible that it was the fittings on the outside unit as they were very loose and did not have a seal inside the fitting. I am hoping that it was just the outside fittings as that would mean the unit is fixed. If not, I will be better prepared for the coil replacement in the spring. The coil replacement will likely cost around $1,300 if Rheem honors the parts warranty on the unit. If not, it will be closer to $1,800. Annoying considering it is a newer unit, and not what I wanted to hear, but it was my decision to try the less invasive option first and see if it may just be the fittings. I did have another company come out first because I was put off by Snells $99 fee to diagnose that was not applicable to any repairs. The technician for the other company was on time and very nice, but had no clue of what was wrong and did not clearly explain the issue. Was considering a bunch of repairs, but I had no confidence that he knew what was wrong. I felt in that case, it was better to go with the number 1 rated company on Angie's list and eat the diagnostic cost vs have someone ruin a 3 yr old system with potential fixes. A good call...I got the service package, which lowered the cost of the service for today and will cover a furnace check in the Fall.

Scheduling the first appointment was a breeze - the receptionist was professional and personable, even when I called to reschedule my visit, it was no problem at all. Ben arrived promptly, was efficient, he found a small problem and fixed it immediately. He explained the service to me and answered all my questions. I appreciated that he wore booties on his shoes to enter my condo! The price includes the inital check and a second check in 6 months. I've had a similar contract for years with another company (at a higher price). I didn't like them pushing and saying "you need to replace it now", but will now be a Snell Heating and AC customer!

After looking over Angie's list, I picked Snell based on the reviews and was very pleased. Our call was answered within an hour of leaving message, was given a time frame, was called backed to let me know tech was on way and tech arrived within the time frame. Justin was courteous, fast, explained several options but was not pushy, fixed the problem quickly and told us to please call back if there were any issues or if we just had questions. Also used a coupon posted on Angie's list.

It went well and I decided to purchase an annual maintenance agreement with them. Everybody was courteous and pleasant and didn’t try to upsell on unnecessary repairs and replacements.

I received an estimate from another company. The price seemed really high and when I went to check them out on Angie's List they weren't listed--a huge red flag. Luckily, I found Snell. They sent someone out quickly to give me an estimate, which was $3,500 less than the other company. Snell did a great job replacing the unit. They covered all the floors and left everything exactly like they found it. Snell did everything they promised. They even made sure my Nest thermostat continued to work with the new unit. Everything works great and is extremely quiet. I would definitely recommend Snell Heating and Air Conditioning.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. Those guys were great. They were very good on explaining how the A/C unit worked and what the problem was and how to fix it so it was good education on it.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It wasn't much of a positive experience. I paid more because I had to get the upgraded humidifier due to the location but that was something they told me about. I paid an extra $150. The price was about average. The techs that came to the house were above and beyond. The office staff was professional on the phone but they never called back. They did the installation and it is basically water running over the membrane. As it runs over the membrane it evaporates the water and circulates through the house. Not all of the water gets absorbed into it and it drains into a pipe which is supposed to drain into a sewer line. They drained it into a line that is next to the HVAC system, which drains to the outside. That line freezes in sub-zero temperatures. The line froze and backed up. I live in a condo and the people below me had a nice leak in the ceiling due to that. I went back and forth with my HOA and the insurance and they basically said that the company was responsible. After some hemming and hawing with the company, they finally did take responsibility for it. They fixed the ceiling and any additional damage but it took them a while to take care of it. They told me they would come and fix mine after I paid for a maintenance package and they would either remove it or have it drain somewhere else. It took my HOA 6 weeks to tell me that it was my fault. As soon as I found out it was leaking, I had the company come to inspect it to make sure that nothing was wrong. Since it was installed correctly, they said if I signed up for a maintenance package they wouldn't charge me for the fee to come and look at it. It was $120 a year for the maintenance package for spring and fall maintenance. When they came to do the spring maintenance, the guy was never informed that he was supposed to move it. Right now I have over a $500 attachment to my HVAC system that is not useable. I've called them a few times and they keep saying they will get back to me and they never have. I know they are busy but I've called them 2 or 3 times. I gave them a "B" for quality because it took 4 visits to get this done right. My condo's piping is very complicated. Now it is working fine.

Snell did an A/C tune up on a rental property that we have. They were timely, knowledgeable, and professional. We signed a year contract with them since we felt confident in their service.

Punctual and responsive. Thoroughly professional by phone and in person. A business that clearly cares about its image in the eyes of its customers.

They contacted me quickly and we're very kind, but only service gas furnaces, not oil based furnaces. Didn't see that stated any where in the offer.

Our AC unit had just been repaired a year and 2 days prior to the failure, and the original company was not pleasant about coming out to see what the problem was as we just passed the 1 year mark. We found a deal from Snell for AC inspection and refrigerant refill up to 1lb. Our provider was very punctual and pleasant and went immediately to work to find the cause of the problem. He checked the refrigerant level and found it to be practically empty and explained to us that there could be a number of causes. We told him about the other company and their repairs just over a year ago, and told us that it was either a bad repair of the coils may have gone bad. He could have sold us on the repair right there and then, but he was honest and said that we should contact the other company since they did the repair, especially since it had only been a year. He even wrote a statement as to what he thought the problem was to help us in case the other company still gave us a hard time. He explained that even if the repair was done properly, they shouldn't have sold us on a repair if the coils were bad. Anyway, the coils were bad and the cost of the repairs were greater than a new AC unit (seriously, the original company should have just recommended a replacement last year). With some arguing, we were able to get a replacement AC installed with a decent discount (though I'm still not 100% happy), but we wouldn't have gotten anything without Snell's help. We will be going with Snell from now on as they are honest and professional. The B price rating is only because we never got the 1lb of refrigerant as per the deal, though it may have been pointless anyway.
