They are very easy to work with, they did not notice something during the time of the initial tune-up, however they came back and fixed it for free.

It was excellent! I've had a furnace installed by Michael and Son about 5 years ago and they said they did a great job and they said it was a 93% furnace and everything was fine. They came back the next year and checked it out and said it was great and I didn't really like them and so I had Snell do the air conditioning. About 2 months ago, Snell came and said they will check the system. They checked the air conditioning and checked the furnace and they said it wasn't installed correctly. I said Michael and Sons already checked and they said, " I don't think so. I'm going to have my boss come." I said, "You realize that you didn't do the install." They said, "I know but I still feel responsible." His boss came and took pictures of the furnace and submitted it to the manufacturer who said they were right, that it wasn't installed correctly and so Snell is going to come back and do the repairs. They could have just said it wasn't their problem because they didn't do the install.

They did exactly what we agreed on in the contract. I'll definitely recommend them to my friends and used them again in the future.

I was very frustrated with the results, a year later I talked to another company to fix this but I thought I would give another chance to Snell since they offered to send someone out as part of warranty - I am glad I did! Snell sent Kevin Walker, he checked that the humidifier was working but suggested that it was possible that the humidifier did not run long enough to get the higher humidity% that I wanted. He also warned about mould build up if the humidifier was hooked directly to the fan. When I mentioned that my nest thermostat "might" have some advance setting to run the humidifier, he immediately offered to look into it and figured out how to set it up so that the humidifier works with the fan and turns off when humidity level reached a preset level ! My whole house humidifier works like a charm now with humidity above 40%. Thank you Snell and Kevin - our home is much more comfortable now. No static No more nosebleeds!

During the inspection, they found out the battery needed to be recharged for our heat pump and that they needed to add more freon the system. The service man who came out seemed very knowledgeable and was helpful. We also ended up purchasing another package for a fall and spring routine service check-up.

Great- and very tolerant of a dog and my 4 year old who wanted to watch:-)

Several years ago we had Snell install gas fireplace logs. Snell & Son (their name back then) sponsored a local Little League team, I liked that decided to send business in his direction. I assumed his sponsorship was for advertising purposes. I certainly didn't have a problem with that. The installation seemed to go smoothly enough. They showed up on time, installed our logs for the agreed upon price, we were seemingly happy. Maybe you've heard Mr. Snell's TV and Radio advertising ... I've heard them many times. "THE STANDUP GUYS AT SNELL!" I've needed followup service several times. I didn't feel like I got "STANDUP SERVICE." Several examples follow: - As part of our package we were sold a brass heat deflector. Approximately a year after the original installation the heat deflector was loose. I called to have them adjust it. A service crew showed up, spent literally 5 minutes on my service job and gave me a bill that seemed excessively expensive! When I complained, they smirked, "We're that only ones that service gas appliances ... see ya!" I wouldn't of needed the service had it been properly installed to begin with. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FREE! - During Hurricane Sandy a tree fell on our home and the chimney was badly damaged. The logs are vent-free (the fireplace damper is kept closed when using the gas logs). I was only mildly concerned that they had been damaged but wanted them inspected just to be sure. The service crew came while I was away on a business trip. They met with my wife. They told her the logs were, "Well past their service life." They said that they could replace a brass gas valve for $925 or they could replace they entire system for $2000. We didn't use the gas logs last winter (Snell told us they wouldn't work!). - This fall I contacted an Angie's List gas log service company. I explained the story, he serviced them for $79 ... they worked just fine. - 3 weeks ago I called Dave Snell and left a message for the "STANDUP GUY" himself to please call me. I thought maybe a business owner who ADVERTISES their good service might want to know about my TERRIBLE service experience. HE never returned my call ... So much for those STANDUP GUYS at Snell, including the standup guy himself. I won't use them again.

John from Snell came over the week prior to the installation and provided me an estimate of the furnace and whole-house air purifier I wanted. He also took measurements and offered a bit of a price break if I had the equipment installed Thanksgiving week. I wanted the equipment in as soon as possible so it didn't come across as any sort of pressure tactic to me. Two installers came at the exact time to install the work. I asked them how long it would take and they said about 4 hours. Over the next several hours I went to the basement to check on them, especially since I heard quite a bit of banging going on. Every time I went they said everything was fine and that there were no problems. About 8 hours after the initial start, they said they were finished. I went downstairs to check on the work with one of them and it was at that time that he told me the initial measurements hadn't been done correctly and they had to make some adjustments. Some of the conduit looks like it was... adjusted, but it also looks like a very clean and well done installation. Having used the system now over the last couple of weeks, I am very happy with it. I did wish they had told me about some rebates available from Carrier as I think I lost out on some $$$.

My furnace broke on Christmas day. Snell Heating and A/C listed 24/7 service so I called and notified the call center I needed my furnace repaired. I asked if they had technicians on call for Christmas and the call center confirmed they did and that a technician would contact me shortly. I finally received a return phone call on 26 December (after I had scheduled an appointment with another company). I am upset that Snell did not call back or tell me up front that they did not have technicians available. That would have been a completely acceptable response considering that it was Christmas. But to have the call center make me believe that I could get my furnace fixed that same day and then never returning my call is completely unacceptable. Providing expectation management to customers would ensure customers knew exactly what to expect rather than getting their hopes up.

I was very satisfied with Snell's Heating and Air Conditioning. The service was excellent. The technician was professional in every way. I would not hesitate to use them again.

The experience was good. Scheduling went well and one technician came out to do the work. They were timely for the appointment and efficient. I was satisfied with the results.

They tried to find other problems and it wasn’t what I expected from the Big Deal. I ended up purchasing extra services.

Kim, the administrative assistant who answer the phone was very pleasant. Returned my call with 24 hours after I left a message. However, I did not like their service agreement and I got a bad feeling of dishonesty while speaking with her. I, of course, could be totally wrong. She told me that most people use the Silver package and that it was $132.00 yearly for maintenance then if a problem was to occur they charged $83.00 plus, if needed, the cost of the part. I asked about the other packages and she would not give the information stating that all I needed was the Silver package. I believe it is my decision on what package I am willing to pay for. She should have gone over each package regardless if the Silver package may have been the best. However, this is not what bothered me the most. Their turn around time is 48 hours. That is a long time to be without heat or A/C when it is 100 degrees or 20 degrees outside.

The biggest issue was getting an appointment - I think it was about 3 weeks from purchase (and call) until an appt was available. But everything else was good - good tech, good service.

I was happy with them and they were through. I did speak to management as I had a lot of questions and he was very helpful. They did a good job and cleaned up very well.

Because of the physical arrangement, this took more than one visit to positively nail-down the reason for the leak. Every phone call and every visit was on-time and professional.

The technician was very helpful and professional. He was punctual, came in and put on booties to protect my floors. He provided me helpful info about my HVAC system, including how to maintain it and change out the filters. Great service. I bought their maintenance plan on the spot.

The service was excellent. He did a great job, and he also offered me a good discount for using his service contract. It ended up needing frion, and rather than making me pay for a whole new one, they just refilled it. They also ended up giving me a discount on that as well. I would recommend them.

The company's receptist, new sales person, installation techs, and manager were all very friendly, professional and a pleasure to deal with. My unit was in a 3rd floor condo and it was difficult to reach and maneuver this H/AC Unit - it was VERY heavy! The only criticism I have of the company is that they did not send enough strong people to help or have the technology for this job. The 2 men struggled a long time with the sheer heaviness of the unit, getting the old unit out and down the stairs and the new one up the stairs and in was a tough job and a few nicks were made in some flooring/walls (inside and out on deck), marks on the condo outdoor steps, a screen door torn. The company repaired all these items to my satisfaction and without hesitation! I suggested to them the need to come up with a better way to manage such heavy equipment in the future. Everything worked right off, no problems then or now - humming along and keeping me warm! I will use this company again without a doubt, do not let the minor repairs they had to do turn you away. I mostly felt terrible for the techs who were struggling that day and was glad no one was injured! Great company with super responsive staff all around!

Snell provided us with an inspection and tune up of our a/c unit that was requested because of a promotion on Angie's List. They provided us with an honest service and opinion on the state of our unit and when we should potentially replace or repair the unit. Everything was done as described and they did it at a very reasonable price.

They did the tune up, and found out that the heat exchange on our heating system was cracked. We ended up using someone else to replace the system, but only because they had a better price on the replacement than Snell.
