It was great. They were professional and were willing to come out here to look at my air conditioner. I’ve used them since then and they’ve just been great every time they come out here. I had signed up for one of their packages and he pricing was just about right.

The technician arrived on time, and was very friendly and professional. He did a thorough inspection and explained everything to me as he was doing it, and made several suggestions for maintenance and replacement of worn parts (it's the original unit and heading towards the end of its life) but wasn't overly pushy or trying to upsell.

Everything went okay. Scheduling was good and one technician came out to do the work.I have no negative feelings about the company.

I don't think they really need to improve. I think they were fine. I think it was a little quick than they said it was gonna gonna be which is just fine with me. But some people might think that they would picking some short cut, I don't know. I was happy with the technician. I will use them again and recommend them. I am satisfied with services.

They ended up finding a problem with the compressor that was a major issues and advised me to go through my HWA. They said they would inspect the system again after they fixed the problem as part of the coupon. I highly recommend this company.

The technician was very thorougn, explaining exactly what he was doing and why. He did a great job! The scheduling didn't go as planned. I called and scheduled the service about two weeks in advance. The night before, they called and cancelled the appointment. I had made plans and rearranged my schedule, and I didn't appreciate the last minute cancellation. Further, I had to call them to schedule a new appointment. I expect that my appointment won't be cancelled at the last minute and, if it is cancelled at the last minute, they will contact me to reschedule.

They came out to do work on another rental property of mine. They said they checked everything over and everything went well. My tenant turned on the furnace and nothing was working. I called to have them come back out and they never returned my call. The service manager was supposed to call me and he never did. I had to call another company to have them come out to do work.

They worked on one of my rental properties. They were able to come out shortly after I had purchased the deal. The technician came out on time for the appointment. He called me afterwards and told me what was wrong and what he had fixed. I was satisfied with the appointment.

Bought a Big Deal to have an AC unit checked. Long lead time to have them come out. Did not want to wait that long.

After the tech assessed our old system, he realized we needed a replacement--right before a snowstorm and four frigid days. The work was done in a professional manner, they cleaned up perfectly and the house is a lot warmer. The staff also worked with our home warrantly comapny to maximize coverage. They were terrific!

The furnace was inspected. It was determined that the thermostat needs to be changed. It was recommended which thermostat is best, price was installation was provided. However since I could do that myself, I bought a new recommended thermostat and replaced it myself. The furnace seems to be working great.

Vince troubleshooted a problem with my hot water tank and fixed the problem by bleeding out the pipes. He was knowledgeable, professional and kind. Thank you for getting heat and hot water back to my tenant.

They were very knowledgeable, helpful, and polite. We actually purchased an agreement with them for out heating and air conditioning system as they did such a good job. They were polite, thorough, and they were very good at explaining everything to us and really educating us.

Several months ago, we had to replace our heat pump. The work was done by Snell and we were very pleased. During one of the coldest spells in my memory, our heat pump stopped working. Last night (Saturday) around 9:00 pm, I called to request a repair. I fully expected to get an answering machine and was shocked to speak to a "live" person. I explained that it was not an emergency, that our furnace was keeping the upstair warm enough, and that I could wait for the repair. Much to my surprise, I got a call back on Sunday morning to schedule my repair for the same day. The repair person showed up just when they said he would, he fixed the heat pump, cleaned up after himself and charged us nothing because it was a warrantied repair. I couldn't have asked for better service and I've rarely received service this good from anyone.

My first appointment I waited and no one showed up. I called the company and they apologized, researched it and called me back but I had to get into work so messages were left on my phone, again apologizing (Which I felt was very sincere). At first I felt that things do happen, let's just reschedule. When I was able to call them,not the same day, to set up another appointment they offered me the current open appointments and I had to wait another 3 weeks for them to come at a time convenient for me, I was not happy. I feel they should have had some other accommodation since it was their fault (which they admitted too)that my first appointment did not get recorded. So once again I had to take off work (paid hourly so I am losing money again) to meet their technician who did show up in a reasonable time frame. The service was performed well, technician was great, no pressure to buy more etc. All in all the company was very apologetic and nice to work with and I will continue to use them. I just felt that they should have made more of an effort to re-schedule me earlier than 3 weeks. If the first incident had not happened they would have gotten all A's from me. I am confident this was not a normal way the company does business.

It worked out great. They came out. We had no problems. They responded quickly. We set the date and they came out and explained everything they were doing as they worked on my furnace. The furnace is still working so I'm happy with that.

After Cropp Metcalfe ignored my repeated calls and appointment requests (please see my poor review of them), I was looking for another HVAC company to service my solenoid valve. Snell appeared to have good reviews here on AL, so I gave them a shot. It took a few days to get someone out here because of the holidays and a high value of service requests, but they got here the next week. Tech showed up on time and was very professional. He came up with a diagnosis of a bad solenoid valve (which I knew). I asked him for the price and he said he'd need to call his manager. What he came back with blew me away. $386 for the job. If I didn't want to do the job it was $100 "diagnostic fee" for driving out. By the way the same week AL had a big deal for a new whole house humidifier installed for $500--which I contemplated buying. I was $100 bucks in, the problem had already dragged on for a week and I knew Cropp Metcalfe wouldn't be returning my call any time soon...so I bit the bullet. In all it took the tech (who was very nice and professional), about 30 minutes to complete the job. So I researched the solenoid valve, which costs about $58 direct from Aprilaire (let's call it $60). Based on that, I estimate that the labor rate that I paid to this technician was approximately $650/hr. For comparison the following labor rates for other professions: My attorney--$400/hr ASE Master Auto Tech--$80/hr Folks were very professional, and the work was done correctly, but the price was highway robbery. I GOT RIPPED OFF! I gave them a C because the repair was done right. The office manager contacted me a couple days after the work was done to see how everything was working. I told her the repair was done correctly and the tech was professional, but I was pretty disappointed in the price. I felt like I was held over a barrel. She admitted that the price sounded high and would check on it. Never heard back.

During a recent inspection of the furnace that Snell installed, the technician noticed that the way the condensation pipe wasn't set up in the most efficient way. He arranged for Snell to put in a condensate pump for free, even though it had been 5 years since installation. They are always on time and super professional. Great customer service on the phone too.

Awesome-came out on a snow day - ended up doing an annual contract with SNELL I was so impressed
