They were very good about coming out they checked out heater. He told us we needed a new motor and it would cost $1000. I have a friend who had a family member that does that kind of work and we have a it found out that the part only cost $50 and we got the work done for just $150. We canceled with Snell and they they never asked us why.

Overall an excellent experience, and we will use them again. We initially had a lot of trouble gettin anyone from the company to respond to our initial request for service that we sent to them through Angie's List. We were very low priority initially getting our first appointment, so that was frustrating. Once you get your first appt out of the way, however, you become next-day immediate priority, so there's that to look forward to. The technician was right on time, and he was vet professional. He very patiently answered a lot of questions during our HVAC heating system inspection. He cleaned out a lot of parts, and gave some great advice on maintenance as well as a reputable pluming companies in the area. We plan to use them for our AC inspection in the spring.

Several years ago, we had another company install a new furnace but put together a convoluted filtering system which never worked properly. Vince came out for my annual maintenance check-up and recommended that I convert to a whole house filtration system, so I began to some home work. The previous year, they came and installed an April Aire Whole House Humidifier, and it has made such difference for my 11 year old boy with eczema--so I thought, perhaps this fix would also help. So, I did a price check, and found out that Snell offered the most competitive price around. I spoke several times with their Operations Manager, John, who was very fair, and eager to work with an existing customer. So they cam back out, measured, and designed a new air-return system, ordered custom sheet-metal to fit my house specifically and installed the system without a hitch. I could not be happier with the service, the attention to detail, and how John (another one--the installer) put the system together. Now, rather than having to deal with a flimsy, silly filter from Home Depot that barely fit into the duct, I have an easy-to-use 14 MERV filter system that will require only an ANNUAL replacement, rather than dealing with the hassles of a monthly change. That alone brings a big smile to face. There are a lot of companies out there that claim to care about the customer, and offer fair and reasonable pricing. But Snell has been consistent, has showed up on-time, and their maintenance contract is a no-brainer for anyone who owns a house. I highly recommend Snell, and encourage anyone dealing with the filters that barely fit, don't settle for it anymore, take care of it, call Snell and let them take care of you.

Service and especially service staff were great, provided diagnostic, estimates and repair in timely and efficient manner.

Called initially to have my HVAC tuned up since there was a coupoun on their website. After talking to Ben gave me some options since I wanted to have my HVAC serviced in the Spring, which I signed a service package to come back in Spring. Ben was very polite and courteous and provided me the details of the service as well some potential outcomes that would be of concern once serviced in Spring. Would highly recommend Ben & Snell Heating & Air Conditioning.

Went extremely well, could not be more pleased

The service provided was very professional and complete. They sold me a year long contract during the service call. But I was never reminded to schedule the spring service. Though it required numerous conversations, they did make it right and will complete the service this spring at no additional cost.

Send an email via Angie?s list late the Friday night - followed-up with a call early the Saturday morning. The provider set an appointment for the Sunday with a promise to call if they have a cancelation earlier. Cancelation occurred and provider called me and came out to my property the same day (Saturday). Did diagnostics, identified the issue and corrected it. Overall I am happy with the responsiveness and quick response by the provider. Technician was friendly and solved the issue quickly. I signed-up for their club membership to have the unit serviced for the summer.

All went as planned and they were even able to install the furnace a day early. The installers were professional and did a great job!

A technician evaluated a water leak & gas smell from our previous 21-yr old furnace, identifying it as a clogged heat-exchanger that would require significant cost to replace. Not worth the effort on a furnace of this age. Technician recommended replacement of the A/C at the same time considering it was of the same age and there would be efficiency in replacing the full system. We ordered the system and scheduled installation for only a few days later. They threw in a new filter system and humidifier, as well as some improvements to duct-work to improve airflow to one of our bedrooms. Their installation team arrived promptly and worked all day and into the evening. Their work was excellent and they left everything tidy. They gave some instruction on the use of the new touch-screen thermostat. The new furnace works great. In all, a very professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable group.

I ended up purchasing a whole new unit. I was a little frustrated with the experience & lack of understanding on how the unit fit with my home. They did try to rectify the situation, however.

The price included 10% off from being a Angie’s List member. Their price was average. The system was a good make and it looks good to me.

Oh great! He was on time and he is quick. Provided a lot of advice actually provided advice on a humidifier we have installed and putting a larger filter into the furnace. No, they came earlier to look at my air conditioner that’s why I went with them again. The second time everything went just as well. I saw them last month when they came to do the heater tune-up. The cost of service is just the big deal. I will use them again in the future.

The technician, Ben was pleasant and professional. He tested the equipment and explained the problem. He replaced the compressor and explained I will need a new system and hot water heater. Good experience with Snell. A little disappointed that he didn't vacuum the handler. I was also disappointed that I didn't receive any type of discount. I bought the membership for spring and fall for $135.

They promptly contacted us and let us know that they don't serve the area (Maryland) and suggested to request a refund from you.

We love them. We would recommend them to our friends, they are always on time, always responsive, always courteous, and always professional.

Snell arrived on time and called let me know they were in route. The service technician did a great job servicing the unit and repairing the humidifier. He explained how the humidifier operates with the furnace and also went in detail what he found wrong with the unit. I signed up for the Silver Plan and I am glad I did. Very trustworthy, the service technician was extremely nice and knowledgeable.
