They were very punctual, they give you a 4 hour window and then call you 30 minutes before the tech arrives, great feature! Very professional technicians! I have had 2 tune ups and each time the tech explains what they are doing and why. They even go the extra mile and answer my questions about random heating/ac things.

Quick and Easy. They were very upfront about the cost and did a great job installing. They mention upfront that the purchaser is responsible for dry wall fixing (not a big deal to me because it's easy). Took about 8 hours because we were on the 4th floor of a condo building. Guys were helpful and were honest about any questions I had throughout the day.

It went very well. I have yet to see how well it functions over time but whatever they did, they did well. I would hire them again.

The replacement went well. They did a good job, were attentive, and coordinated the inspections smoothly. I think they could have recommended / referred us to a rebate the manufacturer had going, but I didn't confirm that. They did step through the ceiling and left a large hole. They had it repaired without too much wrangling, but we now have a different colored painted area on the ceiling in the foyer.

Couldn't be happier! They worked with us as the scope of work grew and changed, and the new units are working great. I would definitely work with them again.

The technician came and gave the diagnostic that the 'definitely the ignitor is bad'. I had already ordered the part which they wont install as they can not provide guarantee on it so I understand. The old ignitor was NOT broken and the new one did not work either. This technician should have run the voltage check to see if the circuit board is sending power to the ignitor or not. That should have been the first right step. i called them back and was promised that another technician will come next day but no one came and he closed the tkt. We are having worst winter in NOVA and I am still waiting for third technician to come today. Not good

Joe and Carlos were great. Very professional and left the space clean. The scheduling team was incredibly responsive. We greatly appreciated the same day scheduling and installation. I will definitively use Snell again.

All was fine until I tried to renew the service contract. I paid for my contract in one lump sum each year. Their customer service rep told me they now require a credit card on file for monthly service contract payments. The lump sum up front in a single payment is not acceptable! Why would they refuse a full year contract payment? Sounds like one more company who wants to be trusted with my financial information to bill as they wish. They persistently refused payment-in-full for the service contract, so I'm switching to another provider for next year. Too bad.

I got three estimates, and Snell was not only competitive on price, they provided so many extras they won the job. The other companies quoted one price, one furnace. David Snell gave me 3 options, for low- mid- and high-price/quality units. He included a programmable thermostat, a 1 year service plan, and 2 years' labor warranty (the others were only 1 yr labor). He responded to my questions right away, even over the weekend. To top it off, he took the time to find out there was a $300 Washington Gas rebate and let me know about it when he gave me the estimate--no one else did. I'm happy to say the only thing I wasn't thrilled with is the crew left the basement floor dirty (but they did pick up all the scraps/trash). Very happy with Snell, outstanding customer service.

We are very happy that we worked with The Snell team for the selection and installation of our new HVAC system. From the beginning of this process we could not be more impressed with the professionalism, service, clarity, responsiveness and assistance that we have seen with all members of the Snell team. Given our experience I can really use one word that I have not been able to use with many individuals or groups that have come to help us with our home: trust. Their communication was timely, provided simple and thorough explanation, included outside links for reference, and was to the point. They were consultative in their approach, meeting our need to balance the delicate mix of resolving the issues that we were dealing with , our general “dream-sheet”, and budget constraints without judgment, pressure or “BS”. They treated my wife and I as the partnership that we are in making this decision rather than placating one while "dealing with" the other. The Snell installation crew worked together, worked efficiently, treated our house as we do, kept us informed and took the time to explain the system and next steps. The coordination with the debris removal contact was perfect as well. It clear that their team knows their work and that they display a respect of each other and our home that is uncommon. We used their duct cleaning partner as well and noted that this is also true for their business. It is easy to assume that a family business means higher attention, honesty and quality. I must admit, until our interaction with Snell, we have not found that to be true in this area. Others only provide even the perception of this treatment when they believe that we will be spending three times the amount our contract with Snell represents. Honestly, the team was so efficient, thorough and mindful of our home, it would have been easy to believe your team was not even there. We could have just come home to find a new thermostat, system and contact information for help, but would have been unable to find any evidence of how and when it was installed if we were not home at the time. They have set a rather high bar for anyone else who may help us in maintaining our home – regardless of the industry. Note: My comments are reinforced by an unforeseen issue that was beyond Snell’s control after install. Their response was immediate, thorough and professional. My comments above are still true even with different contacts who supported us. That is incredibly rare; most groups we have met have widely varied levels of service and skill depening on which of their team members you get. Not true here…a nice surprise. I evaluate not only by how things go when all is well, but when there are unforeseen issues. Snell, again, set the bar for others by who they have worked with us.
