The technicians showed up on time and confirmed it was going to take all day to replace the HVAC systems. Both installers were very polite and capable. We didn't go with the top of the line system (which while offered wasn't recommended by the sales person) because it would have been overkill for our house, but did go with a new iComfort series from Lennox with a 15 SEER rating on the AC and a 96% efficiency gas furnace. They did a good job and actually hit the same price point that a previous repairman had rough guessed from about a year prior. My only disappointment was that they don't check out the existing ducting to determine if perhaps the ducting could be a source of not cooling. I know my AC was bad, so it had to be changed, but in the process of remodeling my bathroom I found a duct that had come completely unattached and was just venting the AC / heat in between the joists between my 1st and 2nd floor. I'm pretty sure there is another one loose, I just haven't found it yet and I'm holding off on ripping down all my ceiling to find it.

When they initially came they were checking our whole house humidifier. They were very helpful explaining how it works to us, as newer home owners. They were also very informative about signing up with them for a bi-annual system check instead of going through our warranty company. They needed to order a special filter for our particular humidifier and were able to get that in to install. However the only negative, was that I had to follow up with them on when the filter got in, to schedule for them to come back to install it. The fact that I had to follow up with them, certainly didn't cause me to cancel the contract at all though.

They came out very quickly, assessed the situation, and gave me several options to choose from. Once we decided they moved very quickly and knocked out the project much faster than I expected. The technicians were very efficient and professional. The salesman was knowledgeable and professional as well. They did everything they said they would do, and then some. I'll be calling them for anything that may come up in the future. They made it easy.

Someone from Snell was able to rearrange their schedule and come out and give me an estimate on the same day that I called because my AC was completely broken. It helped that I live about 3 miles from their office. I expected something quick and breezy but their rep sat down with me for about 45 minutes and laid out different options. He asked me about my highest priorities to narrow down the choices. We went with a pricier unit because I think it will save money in the long run. Snell was booked for about 2 weeks but my salesman talked to one of his other clients who had a working system and they agreed to switch appointment. days with me. So nice! so, we waited about 6 days for the install. The installers were professional and kept things tidy. There was an initial crew of 2 men and 2 more came later in the day to help. Highly recommend if you are looking for quality work!

They are excellent and I have been very pleased. When I called them originally they pointed out that the previous homeowner had paid for a year's service contract so I due for a fall maintenance. I felt this really spoke to their honesty. Their persistence is good and their price is excellent compared to my previous home for service contracts.

It worked out well. The tech was at the home for about an hour. He gave me a few suggestions on my A/C - he spotted some rust on my unit and said I should have it looked at before the heating season.

We got back from a trip and discovered a leak in our heat pump. I called Snell first thing in the morning and they were able to book me for the following day. The tech arrived on time and put on covered boots before going downstairs. He made sure to inform me up front of their "visit" fee and then took a look at the heat pump. It was an easy fix and he finished up quickly. He flushed the pipe, added anti-bacterial and gave me instructions on how to maintain it.

The furnace check was fine. Wanted to charge me $300 to fix a handle that broke off on my damper. I ended up fixing it myself for $12. When asked why it costs so much he said that's what we charge.

This company was awesome from the beginning. They did everything they said they would do and were punctual, polite and competent. When they determined something was not up to standard, they themselves fixed the problem unprompted. The sales agent was comprehensive and fully explained the process, offering us options for selection. The installers completed the task ahead of schedule and cleaned up after themselves. An access panel was damaged in the process, but they returned and repaired the damage fairly soon after installation. I'm very impressed with this company and would strongly recommend others consider them.

Snell installed a new a/c unit in 2013, to our complete satisfaction. Based on that experience, we brought them back to do a pre-winter check of our furnace?and in April of this year to do a pre-summer check of our a/c unit. In each case, the technicians have arrived punctually, and performed the work professionally. They have also been very pleasant to have in the house. We used a $100 discount card they had given us earlier, so this a/c check was free of charge. We've dealt with so many other companies that want to repair or replace something that we know is not faulty. On this last visit, I commended the technician for the company's integrity, since they have never tried to take advantage of us. He told me that, in their training, the first lesson that is emphasized is the primary importance honesty and integrity. Snell will always be our company of choice for providing these services.

They were very professional and did exactly what they were supposed to do. The deal was for a furnace tune up. They came out on time and were very courteous. Our gas furnace had been having problems with the burner shutting down right after starting up. The Snell repairman quickly figured out the flame sensor was dirty and cleaned it at no additional charge. The furnace ran with no problems through the rest of the winter. They offered a year-long HVAC maintenance contract at a reasonable charge and we purchased it. I haven't had to use it yet, but I would definitely use them again if I have another HVAC problem.

Great company, they did a great job. They don't pressure you into buying anything. I also did not have to wait around, they were very punctual. They thoroughly explained the condition of the furnace after the work was done and if there were any issues, they explained them as well.

This was my second visit from Snell. I bought a two visit (fall and spring) package to maintain my HVAC system. They were as courteous, clean, and professional as last time. I really like this company.

Fantastic. I have a unit that was installed poorly during the previous homeowners tenure. It is coming to the end of the line. Ben, the tech I use there, has helped me nurse it along while we save up for a new system. He is friendly, professional and go into great detail explains the condition of whatever he is working on. Mi use Snell because of his great service.

The old unit had frozen up the cooling coils twice in the past year indicating a refrigerant leak. Recharging the unit temporarily fixed it and we knew we had to deal some major fixes in the near future. Snell provided options and pricing from simply repairing the existing coils, to replacing the entire AC, to upgrading to the top of the line units for both AC and gas furnace. After discussion with Dave, we opted to replace the AC and furnace unit. Snell arrived on time and got the entire unit replaced and the old unit hauled away in less than one day. The new unit is quieter and works well. Snell took care to clean up the area after installation and made sure both the heating and cooling system were working properly. The also installed a magnetic cover for the filter so replacement was easier and doesn't involve manipulating sharp sheet metal coverings like the original unit had.

I called on Monday, 4/16, asking for help fixing a busted A/C system. I explained that I thought it might be an electrical problem, and that my control board was shorting any fuses that I put into it.. We scheduled an appointment on 4/18. They never showed up, and never called to explain why. I have since acquired the help of another company and have working A/C once more.

Great. Love these guys. They were on time. They were very thorough. We're new homeowners so they explained to us everything about our unit and how to save money by using certain settings. Didn't feel like they were rushing to the next job but took time to give us great service.

i hired Snell for Winter and Spring maintenance and for an estimate on a new HVAC system. Pros: 1) Great telephone customer service - they always answer the phone and follow through. They guarantee they will answer the phone 24/7 or else you get a $50 gift card. 2) Their staff is professional, polite, and clean cut. 3)Per their website, they run a tight ship - just read the rules their employees must follow on their website - (although only one of the two technicians knew about the rules, so I am not sure what good the rules are if the technicians are not aware of them). I also noticed their technicians are not aware of the Snell guarantees (see below). Middle of the Road: 1) Per their website, Snell offers a lifetime unit guarantee for the original owner of a new HVAC system. I am wondering if they have funds in escrow to cover this claim. The technician didn't mention the guarantee during the appointment, so I didn't know about it - it may have changed my mind. 2) Per their website, many of their systems supposedly come with a 10 year labor guarantee, but I was only offered a 2 year labor guarantee. Cons: 1) Their website stakes alot of claims, but they are not completely followed by the staff. For instance, they say they price match, but I emailed the technician to tell him I got a better offer ($1200 less for a more upgraded system - same manufacturer) and he did not offer me a price match. 2) Dominion Power offers a $99 rebate on tune-ups but Snell is not a participating provider. Most other well know HVAC companies do participate in the program. 3) Snell had the highest prices of all of the companies I received estimates from - by $1,200. 4) Two maintenance calls did not resolve a humming noise that was easily resolved by the next company I hired. Full story: MyHVAC was making a strange humming noise so I thought a tune up might help. I hired Snell to perform winter maintenance and to determine if maintenance would resolve the humming noise. They sent Kevin, a junior tech, to perform the winter service. The inspection took all of 10 minutes. He was not able to diagnose the humming noise because he could not hear it - said he does not have great hearing. I inquired about whenI might need to replace the unit and asked about installation. He was able to provide minimal information (their senior techs are responsible for estimates). I wanted to get the humming issue resolved so I signed up for the $159 comfort club so I could also have another technician come out for spring maintenance. I contacted Snell for spring maintenance and asked if they could send out a senior technician. They agreed. Justin, the senior tech, was obviously more versed in all things HVAC. Both he and Kevin thought the humming noise was originating from the blower motor or the duct work. Justin said the outside unit was leaking freon and I already knew my furnace was 30 years old so I asked for an estimate. He recommended two different Lennox heat pump models - a Basic model - 13HPX-018-230 & CBX25UH018 for $5,487 or a higher grade model - 14HPX-018-230 & CBX25UHV-018 for $6,410 after a 5% discount. This was the first quote I received, so I called around for other estimates and realized that Snell's prices were sky high. The next company I called offered a more upgraded heat pump than Snell's highest priced model - XP14-018-230-09 & CBX32MV-018/24 with I Comfort Wifi Thermostat for $5,500 + $300 rebate (plus an additional year of 0% financing). Snell's pricing was a big deterrent. . Also, it turns out that the humming noise was coming from a vent on the other side of the HVAC and a few of the grates needed to be opened a bit wider to resolve the issue. The company I hired to complete the HVAC install figured it out - third time's a charm. Note: both technicians were friendly and professional. Had it not been for the large price differential I would have likely hired Snell for the job.

When I called to schedule it, their earliest appointment is a month out. They were very professional and very nice. They just can't do it in the time that I need. I am getting a refund through Angie's List.

I bought it as an Angie's deal but was refunded the entire money by Angie's list because the service provider could not give me a date soon enough. I am annoyed at Angie's list for bugging me to write this review every time I login despite the fact that they refunded the money for not using this deal.

I upgraded the unit to a higher model. They completed the work within a few hours and cleaned up well. It was fine and there were no problems.

I had used Snell several times and when everything was working properly, they were great. Their technician Italo is extremely nice and a good worker. Come mid December, I was unable to get my pilot light to stay on. A different technician showed us and did a pretty good check on things. Long story short, he was also unable to get it to stay on. We agreed that it may be a bad thermocouple. He quoted me a price that was about 10 times the cost to purchase one at Home Depot. These are easy to install. I declined, and went without heat that night. I called Snell twice the next morning to ask what the price is for a brand new furnace. I waited all day for a return call, then called a couple competitors. Thankfully another company committed to provide one within 24 hours. It took another 2 days for Snell to call me back. The rep was as puzzled as I was about why no one ever called me back. I think Snell is a good company overall, but they failed me in a time of needing heat for a family of 5.

Bought an Angie's List deal. Company was nice, responsive, on-time, and we would work with them again.

I was impressed with the way Vince went at the problem. As it was sporadic, and not occurring at the time of his visit, I was not entirely sure he would be able to fix it. I was sufficiently impressed that I also signed up for a yearly maintenance contract and will most likely use Snell when it finally becomes time to replace my system.
