It was a great service and they did a great job! I’d definitely use them again. It took them one day to finish it and I was very happy. I'd definitely recommend them to my neighbors! It was top-notch. They were very professional, were very knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions, and cleaned up perfectly.

Technician had trouble replacing the air filters and indicated that he wasn't getting paid to struggle with it so he did not change the air filters.

Justin came out to conduct the annual AC service as part of the big deal I purchased. He was prompt and courteous as expected and embodied the "Snell Stand Up Guy" promise. During the inspection he determined that the system was low on freon and laid out my options. I chose to have him add some freon to ensure it continued to work while I decided whether to replace the 21 yr old system. At the conclusion of the service call I asked some questions about new systems. Justin took the time to answer my questions and offer to have the front office schedule a time for Dave Snell to come out and provide an estimate which I gladly took him up on. All in all another excellent experience with Snell.

Did a great job on the replacement. On the preliminary inspection, the guy seemed reluctant to put out any extra help for me to figure out what was wrong, wanted a whole additional charge added just to help me find another unit. After a little while, though he came around and was more than helpful. Had a technician come out for the second unit and recharged the system, but didn't check the condensate line completely so I had to have him back out when we started seeing leaks. He did come back out though at no charge and was very helpful and informative. I understand that I'm not allowed to write a review since I'm a long and foster agent and there is some relationship between L&F and Snell

They were awesome! Even though there were 15 inches of snow on the ground, they managed to remove our dead heat pump and replace it with a new one without ever messing up my floors - truly amazing. They did it on a Saturday because our old heat pump had died and we were running on emergency (expensive!) heating at that point and we really appreciated that they could do that for us. From the sales person who came to our house to the crew who did the installation, I was impressed with them and highly recommend Snell to anyone who needs their HVAC systems either repaired or replaced.

Courteous and professional. Did what was asked and a bit more. Clean dress and made sure area was cleared of any work debris when finished. I would use them again.

The representative was on time and professional. He did his work quickly and did not leave a mess. He also suggested a way that I could save money on maintenance in the future. I appreciated his honest advice and efficiency. We will have Snell come back in the fall for inspection and tune-up of our furnace.

The appointment went well. I called them on 5/13/2014 and spoke with Kim to schedule an appointment. She was polite and helpful. My appointment was made for 6/27/2014 with a window from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. On the date of service, I received a call to let me know that they were on their way. At 9:45 AM, the technician (Vince) arrived. It took him about an hour to complete the tune-up. He had to put some Freon in the unit, but aside from that, everything was working fine. When Vince was done, I had some questions about maintenance and filter selection which he answered to my satisfaction. When he finished, he gave me the invoice and asked me if I was interested in their service program. I declined. He wasn't pushy and I did not feel pressured to sign up for what they refer to as their "Club Membership". I was satisfied with Snell and I am planning on using them again in the future.

Snell did an excellent job. The technician was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything that he was doing and why it was being performed. He reviewed some issues that I was concerned about and gave me issues to look out for in the future. He was also prompt and I feel he did a thorough job tuning the HVAC system. I will use Snell again.

My air conditioning quit working in the middle of heat wave. I found Snell on Angie's list, was impressed by generally good comments. And they are local in my area. I called on Monday morning, spoke with a very pleasant person in the front office. She arranged for one of their repair staff to come the next day! He was on time, found the problem quickly, had the part in the truck, replaced and checked to see the unit was working properly. Brilliant! I signed up for their annual maintainence contract on the the strength of this first and very positive experience. Thanks Angie's list!

The number one issue with Snell is lack of communication with the back office. On several occasions, I was told by someone in the back office that someone would arrive between 3-7 PM and never heard from them again until it was obvious they would miss the window. They ended up arriving more around 7:45 PM and staying late until 10 PM which is not the techs fault. It's the back office's fault for not communicating with the customer or the techs. They suggested we install a Lennox system which appears to not be enough to cool my house and the wireless thermostats have terrible connectivity. Each system took a full day to install and upstairs unit still fails to keep the temperature near what the thermostat is set to. The downstairs unit ended up having a bad coil (which is not their fault since it's a manufacturing issue) but the back office once again said they would be sending out their best guy and then someone else shows up. The issue was eventually resolved after several visits and a lot my time at work lost. I would not recommend Snell, they only want you to sell you on something and then once you have bought you are no longer considered high priority which results in poor service. The "24 hour" telephone service is a joke, it's just an answering service that forwards your message to them and they get back to you at their convenience. I would not use them again and I am still debating having both units uninstalled and replaced by a different contractor that spends more time validating the system works and less writing up the contract. 08/09/2014 - Update - John came out and evaluated the room which never seems to cool down on hot days. They installed another register in the hot room which produced a lot more airflow than the existing one. This helped cool down the room but it was still getting hotter than the rest of the upstairs rooms. After hearing from John again they added a return vent to get the hot air out of the room. That seems to be working a lot better. I do think that Snell has done everything they can to improve the temperature/airflow in that room. I am now looking at replacing the window and adding more insulation to the attic. They have replaced the TSV value 3 times now on my unit in the basement which is not a small task but it seems to be a manufacturing issue with one of the parts. I realize this is not Snell's fault and only hope the changes they made keep the system working. It seems the fix was more of a workaround so until the company that produces the bad part creates a more permanent solution it will be a costly repair every time it fails (right now under warranty). So far it does seem to be working and the issue hasn't occurred anymore.

We pay a set fee per year to get quarterly visits. They never push expensive solutions on us. They always offer us some different price alternatives. That's one of the things we've always liked about them. They're never trying to sell us a new system if we don't need it. They're offering at least one alternative that's much less expensive to keep us going.

I called to schedule an appointment but found they did not service the area I lived in. The representative was very friendly and helpful.

I could not have been more pleased. The serviceman from Snell was terrific and very friendly and helpful. After trying many HVAC companies over the years, I have finally found the one I will be using from here on in. Thank you, Snell!

The service turned out very well. I was satisfied with the promptness of the appointment. I did have to wait a bit but that was okay. They were very professional and they gave three different options on what could be done and that was very good. The office and technicians were very nice to work with.

Great service...highly recommend these guys..the tech was very friendly and took the time to go over my system in detail. Well worth the money spent.

I first became acquainted with Snell several years ago through an Angie's List deal for an AC inspection and tune-up. After my first visit, I purchased a Comfort Club membership with Snell for annual AC inspections in the spring, and annual heating inspections in the fall, as well as a discount on any repairs or service that may be needed. I have been completely happy with Snell and its service. The technicians are unbelievably polite, friendly and professional. They are always on time and always thorough, and they take care to leave your house in the same condition as when they arrived (shoe covers at all times!). I just renewed my annual Comfort Club membership for the 4th time, and I'm convinced that Snell's regular inspections contribute to the "health" of my HVAC system, and are saving me money on my utility bills. Several neighbors in my condo complex have experienced issues with their AC and/or heating systems in recent years (the complex is only 8 years old), but my HVAC system has not experienced any issues and runs very efficiently. I highly recommend Snell!

During the first visit, which was very conveniently on a Sunday, the engineer identified the problem with my heat pump and took measurements of the limited space where the new furnace would be installed. He recommended a model which would fit in my space and also satisfy the new Freon regulations of the US Govt. I agreed to it, and he requested a 1/3 deposit which I gave him via 2 credit cards and made an appointment for the installation. About 3 days prior to the installation appointment, I called the company to reschedule the installation due to a work conflict. It was then rescheduled however the installers came on the original day anyway for the installation. Advised them that I've rescheduled the installation for another day. They apologized without any problems. On the new installation date, they arrived promptly and spent the day removing the old units and installing the new ones. Paid the balance at that time. Did have to call the company the following day to have them remove the old units from my front lawn (was supposed to be removed that day per the installers.) It was promptly removed after the phone call and all's good so far! The cost was a bit high, but I don't mind paying a little more for quality and reassurance.

I knew my system needed to be replaced, as it was a 20-year-old builder-grade system that had developed a refrigerant leak. I got two quotes from companies I had used in the past; oddly enough, neither of those sent anyone out to take a look, they just emailed me quotes. My gf insisted I should get one more quote, so I chose Snell based on reviews I saw here. They quickly sent out a "Comfort Consultant" (aka "Salesman"); I had (and still have) mixed feelings about that experience. Nice guy, and not TOO pushy...but the presentation was more about what a great company they are, with not so much information about the actual products. Plus I'm notoriously bad with sales people, especially when it's in-home (heck, I actually bought a Kirby once). He did tell me one...untruth: that the company had never had a county code failure in it's history; the inspector was very familiar with them, although he did say they are a good company, and that ALL companies experience code failures from time to time. I don't even know why he bothered to say that, as I never would have thought to ask. (Note that my installation DID fail the county code inspection, but I'm not getting into that as it was due to interior wall modifications that led to insufficient "combustion air" space around the furnace. Not Snell's fault, although I do think someone should have pointed this out to me...part of what you're paying for in these situations is expert advice...) Anyway, to make a long story a little bit shorter: I ended up buying a pricier system than I needed. I mostly blame myself, but if I could turn back time I would have gone with one of the other quotes that were about half the price, or at least gone with the cheapest until Snell's offered. It's worth noting that even the lowest-level system they offered was more expensive than the other quotes; the salesman said (and I agree, in theory) that they offer much better service overall, hence the price difference. I guess the point is if you know what you want, and/or don't like sales presentations, it might be worth telling Snell's up front that you don't want the full spiel. Installation was arranged quickly, and the installers were absolutely fine. This was April, so it hadn't gotten hot outside yet...but I had a sense that the system wasn't operating correctly, as it seemed to be running more than you would expect with a relatively low outside temp, and the airflow coming from my vents seemed to be about half as strong and half as cold as the tired old unit. But I let it go for awhile, thinking I was imagining things...until it started to creep up into the 90s outside, at which time the system was unable to keep the middle floor any cooler than about 75. Again, long story short: I had them come out, they quickly identified a defective Lennox part (apparently this particular part fails frequently, which makes me wonder why they even use that brand - the salesman told me they are all basically the same), replaced the part (that technician, who does all their warranty work, is some sort of HVAC Wizard, very impressive), and now the system is working correctly. In short, I'd say that this is a professional company, with a slightly overblown sales pitch, friendly, well-qualified staff, and prices that are not the lowest around...but sometimes you get what you pay for, and only time will tell whether or not I made a wise investment.
