The service staff arrived within the time window, and hit all of the items in the service contract, including some Q/A I had about my duct work, and thermostat installation. A fuse was out on my heat pump, which was also replaced (without the service call, since they were already on-site). Staff was friendly, and very informative.

Snell contacted us within minutes of completing the coupon purchase online. Appointment made for following day, quickly found a blown fuse, replaced it. The tech recommended leaving it at that for the time being since many things can cause a fuse to blow, some of which are isolated incidents that will not recur; we agreed. A couple weeks later the heat pump stopped working again. We called Snell and they promptly sent out a tech, no charge, no hassle. The fuse was blown again and the tech quickly located the problem, a wire shorting out when the unit defrosted, something he had seen before in Carrier's on stilts. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and professional. Some people might be disappointed the fix required two visits, but we didn't push for the first tech to spend more time tracking down the problem since it might have been triggered by a freak, one time occurrence. Since our house is heated by 2 heat pumps and a woodburning stove having one heat pump down doesn't really have a significant impact unless the weather is very cold.

Snell & co were very friendly and professional and we are very happy with the work they completed. Soon after contacting them by phone they sent a technitian over to provide an estimate. The work was scehduled for to begin the following day and was completed in about 8 hours. The technitians were very friendly, proffesional and kept us infomred on the progress of the work. After the work was completed Snell contacted us to ensure we were happy and to ensure that the city inspection/permit process was underway.

Snell Heating and AC contacted me promptly to set up the service date, they left me a message on my phone. I called back but the Customer Service person that left the message was not there. The person I talked to at that time said he could help... but once I gave my address he stated that he didn't think that they serviced my area. He said he would check and have the first person (female) call me back to make sure. She called me back the next day and did confirm that they do not service my area and apologized for any inconvenience. The were both very professional and pleasant.

This company was fantastic! They advised me on the best deal to purchase when I called them about my humidifier that wasn't working at all. In fact they even tried to help me diagnose the problem over the phone to see if I could fix it myself. The technician was very efficient and knowledgeable and was able to get our humidifier working again. He also noticed that our heating system wasn't working properly and since we have a home warranty suggested we call about the problem and told us how to explain to them what wasn't working. The company also comes back within 30 days at no charge if you experience any more problems with that they fix for you. Overall I was very satisfied and would absolutely call them again

Service Technician: Ben Merrifield - very nice, knowledgeable, and helped explain our set up and we talked through various scenarios. I have a much better understanding of how the system runs and needs to be maintained after the visit. I would recommend this company to everyone if all their employees are like Ben. Two thumbs up.

Fantastic service. They came out and performed a thorough check of our heating and AC. During the review, we spoke about the built-in humidifier that had been shut off since I purchased the house (it was off when I got here). The technician had the parts on the truck, cleaned and tested the system and set it for the winter months. It has been working flawlessly ever since. We are going to continue with them for ongoing maintenance.

Scheduling the appointment was easy and the tech arrived on time. He was professional and courteous. My thermostat needed to be replaced and he replaced it with no problems.

The process was quick and efficient. Our furnace went out during a cold snap and they expedited the installation of a new furnace, then came out again right away when we had a question about our air filtration system.

Snell's customer service and responsiveness were OUTSTANDING! When our heat broke, they were able to send us a technician on the same day. Vince was polite, professional, and explained everything clearly - we were thrilled that after the initial visit and estimate, he returned to perform the actual fix. When we contacted the call center to inquire about the status of our repair (we had a family situation that required heat as soon as possible), the operators went above and beyond to respond to our concerns and even elevated our matter to a manager who expedited our repair to meet our family needs. All that to say, we're now Snell customers for life!

The original company that serviced our furnace came out and fixed the problem. I am not in need of this deal.

I was trying to get a drip from a pipe near the back flow preventer valve on my boiler diagnosed and fixed. 1)On 11/25, Snell sent a technician (Justin) that works with furnaces, not boilers. 2)He contacted the employee who has experience with boilers, and sent photos. The response was that the back flow preventer valve had to be replaced. Since no troubleshooting/diagnosis had been done, even with the help of the individual that works on boilers, I asked for confirmation, and was told that, 'Yes, he says that the ONLY way to fix this is to replace the valve.' I asked for an estimated price, and was quoted $398.00. Justin asked me if I wanted to order the part, which would start the process. I replied that I wanted to consider things. 2) I contacted another provider and set up the soonest available service call (12/09), for a second opinion. 3) On 11/26 or 27 I was called by Snell and told that the part had come in. I said that I had not ordered the part, and was looking into an alternate route. 4) During the appointment with the second company, the technician asked me one question concerning the drip. He stated that that could be the cause, and would check. Several minutes after that process, the drip had stopped. It is almost a week, and there is no more dripping. In short-the drip was addressed during routine maintenance, and did not require an almost $400 fix. UPDATE 12/18/14: Since being notified of the situation, Snell has been incredibly responsive in trying to resolve the matter. I greatly appreciate their customer service and wish the issue had just not occurred in the first place.

Fantastic job! I am very happy to say I have heat again. I had heard about the company on the radio and checked the reviews on Angie's List, then used their service call coupon for $59. They are as good as the reviews say. I called yesterday just before closing because my heating unit had stopped working and it was 62 in the house and by 3:45pm today have heat. They were able to fit me in, and even came early (which I had cleared beforehand)! From Justin scheduling on the phone to Ben that serviced it, they were friendly, honest and professional. Ben was able to immediately identify the problem as a fuse and then found a short inside the unit (installed by someone else). He made the repair and I wanted him to go ahead and do tune up so I purchased their $135 deal to do that and includes spring return visit tune up (my total was $219). These are Stand Up Guys - I definitely recommend them!

Justin is very professional and very knowledgeable. He quickly determined the issues with our heating system and fixed it. He took the time to answer everyone of my questions and teach me about some of the components of the system, the latest technology in home heating systems and even replacement options for my long-in-tooth hot water heater. He is a great asset to the Snell team.

Was able to schedule an appointment the same day I called. Gas Furnace had stopped working just was winter was approaching. Tech was ontime and called ahead of time. Very knowledgeable technician, diagnosed the problem quickly (cracked heat exchanger and cracked ignitor). Informed us we needed a new furnace. Provided us with quotes for different options. We had second and third opinions out to provide other quotes, all had the same conclusion as Snell that a new furnace was needed. We did not end up using Snell for the new furnace but would recommend and use them again.

It was good and they fixed it. The technician was really good and terrific. They got the job done in about 3 hours and I was pleased with them. He put in something to make it work on the spot because he did not have the right part and then came back to fix the issue and they didn’t charge me any extra. They were very professional.

I have been using Snell Heating and Air Condioning for a few years now. My annual contract covers two visits where Snell will come to my house and evaluate the system and search for discrepancies. This is not a search like that of some oil chaning companie perform where you can count on them finding problems but instead is a method of advising customer what needs to be replaced thereby allowing customers the option of doing the work themselves. On the other hand they also will performed the necessary repair while on that visit. These are options that I truly appreciate. My last visit from Snell was with a technician by the name of Herman. Herman was extremely thorough in his evaluation of the system. Upon completion Herman informed me of those actions that needed to be done. These where changes the required new parts as any other repair and adjustment Herman has taken the initiative to go ahead and correct which was much appreciated. There were just a couple of repair items of which Herman explained to me what the part did and how much it would cost for Snell to fix. One of the changes was with a humidifier filter which only cost $49 for the filter and labor to change. The other was the replacement of the water overflow tubing as the current one was leaking. The estimate for that was $99 abut the way that he explained that part and how it is replace gave me the opportunity to replace it myself. To me, it was a very good feeling having a technician like Herman as his skills, knowledge and customer interaction skills are off the chart (on the good side) and reinforces my decision to have this annual contract with Snell. I have used other install, or repair, companies in the past but none measure up to the services that Snell provides. Do I recommend Snell to other customerss....Absolutely. Do I recommend requesting Herman as the technician that comes to your house.....Ablsolutely!!!!!

Gas furnace was working intermitantly. Sometimes it would heat fine. Other times it would not ignite even though the blower was running. Snell was very responsive, sending a repairman on Saturday within 3 hours of my call. Unit appeared to be running fine (of course!) when the the technician, German, arrived. With nothing obviously wrong he suggested a regular furnace exam/maintenance. With the maintenance contract the cost was $135, which includes a free exam/maintenance visit in the spring for the A/C unit. German was very thorough and located the source of the problem. The air inlet to the burner was clogged by a nest. He removed a sizable wad of moss/grass/bits of insulation that some critter had assembled in the pipe during the off season. Unit is now running fine. While he was here I asked him to take a look at the humidifier, which had leaked miserably at the start of last season. That check cost an additional $49, including a new humidifier pad. He located the problem with the unit (clogged drain) and got it back in working shape. Overall I was very pleased with the service - responsive, reasonable cost and most importantly, the technician was knowledgeable enough to solve the problem in one visit.
