Service was prompt, professional and done quickly. Technician gave multiple options and quoted prices that were within my expectations.

The tech was very thorough during the examination and offered pointers to improve insulation qualities around duct entry points in the exterior wall. We felt the conversation and information provided were spot on and would recommend this service to others.

Once we bought the Angie's List coupon for the initial evualation of the exisiting heat pump on 12/12/14, our appointment was scheduled very promptly for 12/16/14. The technician that came to our house on 12/16/14 was very professional, and very candid about the trade-offs of just obtaining the replacement part or purchasing a replacement heat pump. He did not pressure us to purchase the new heat pump. We wanted a specific Wi-fi thermostat (called a Nest thermostat) installed for the new heat pump. That thermostat request was written into the contract. The new heat pump was installed on 12/18/14 - an all day project. The technicians that installed it were very professional and worked very hard. However, the installastion of the Nest thermostat did not work. The lead technician installed a temporary simple inexpensive thermostat so that we could have heat, and promised to talk to his supervisior about what was occurring. The supervisior was to call us shortly with a recommendation. We never received a call from the supervisior. Instead, we called multiple times over the next several weeks, asking for recommendations. We were promised call backs but did receive any. To be fair, this was during the holidays, and many businesses have limited staff available. Finally, we did connect with someone on 1/13/15, and he sent us an email with a proposed thermostat which was not wi-fi enabled. We sent a response asking for someone to call us back to discuss other choices - but did not receive a reply to our email or a phone call. Finally, a call we placed to them on 1/27/15 finally resolved the selection of a wi-fi thermostat, and it was installed on 1/28/15. Given the number of times that we had to call concerning the thermostat request, we lowered our evaluation on responsiveness. We are quite pleased on the quality of the work and will use Snell again.

The work was fine. They were easy to schedule with and showed up on time. I would recommend them to friends in the neighborhood.

They came out and couldn't find what part they needed. I found the number and had them order it. It took longer than I had hoped for the part to come in and for them to come back out. Everything is working though.

Technician was very efficient and professional. Although our system is over 15years old, no attempt was made to push us into a new system versus paying for the repair.

Purchased a big deal and asked to schedule as soon as possible because there was extreme dryness in the house during a very cold spell. They came out the same day and explained the humidifier was working as best as it could and that the model we had was the only type of model that would fit in our HVAC system. Was very polite and informative, and honest.

Initially it went well, as we had a surprise failure of our heating system. We found Snell on Angie's list and they came highly recommended. They sent a courteous and friendly technician the same day for the initial diagnostic. He determined we had two problems, the condenser coil needed cleaning, and the blower motor needed to be replaced for a total cost of about $1,600. Almost immediately after providing the initial diagnosis, the technician began suggesting replacing the entire heater with a new unit for $6,800. In spite of my reservations because of the price and his sales tactic, it was freezing in the house so we opted to have the condenser coil cleaned, and see if that would help get the system working again. The same technician came out a couple days later and cleaned the coil but it did not get our heater working so we discussed ordering the replacement blower motor, and again got the hard sell for an entire new system. We again opted for the repair. They indicated it would take about a week to get the motor, and that was accurate. When the technician came to install the replacement motor that's when things really got interesting. After about 1/2 hour the technician indicated that "unfortunately" the very special and unique system that we have is so difficult to maintain that he would not be able to install the new blower motor, because he'd have to dismantle the entire system and reassemble it again just to install the replacement motor that they already were charging $850 to install. Of course this would cost "around $2,000 extra". This was simply another opportunity to pitch the $6,800 for a brand new heater. This was after almost three weeks of having no heat in the house and burning through all of our, and some of our generous neighbor's firewood. Now that it was clear that to Snell we were just another house full of freezing cold suckers. I let the technician know we were not interested in their insane offer to empty our accounts. After telling this outrageous story to a colleague he referred me to another company who not only came to diagnose and install the replacement motor within a single week, but did it for nearly half the price Snell was asking. Even further, the other technician told me he might have difficulty installing the new motor because he was not familiar with our particular brand of heater. But, to my amazement he simply told me it might take him longer than expected, but that he would definitely be able to do the job. No shakedown for extra money, no sales pitch for a new system costing thousands. Within a couple hours he had our heater was working like new and the house was starting to feel warm again. After this experience, I will never, ever recommend Snell to anyone. And I've told everyone I know about my horrible experience with them. I have no idea how they have a positive rating but buyer beware, definitely shop around before having any work done. And when they start telling you right away how they can great you a great deal on a brand new shiny expensive new system, show them the door. You won't regret it.

Snell Heating and Air Conditioning is my go-to for heating and air conditioning following a recent issue. After returning from a trip, the heating fan shut down for three hours to reset and then trip again. This caused great pain when getting out of bed in the morning to a cold house. I called Snell Heating and Air Conditioning for a service call to diagnose the problem. The service technician showed up as promised and promptly troubleshot the problem. He reset the circuit board and there were no issues for about 30 minutes after he left. When I called Snell to ask if the technician could promptly return, I was informed that the technician was not responding to any calls. So I had to see what I could do about the problem myself. I found that a wire bundle was not correctly seated on the fan and cleaned up a few connectors. I've had no problems since then. Snell Heating reviewed the technicians notes and ordered a new fan bracket. We set a date for the install, just to clear up the problem. When the next technician (Ryan) returned and troubleshot a little more, he said that he could install the bracket, but it would probably be a waste of my money. That's what sold me on Snell. They didn't push to replace parts just to make a buck. I also like they Snell returned to clear up the problem without any additional out of pocket expenses.

Champ at Snell answered the phone immediately (no menus of numbers to push). Although this wasn't an emergency, since the furnace was keeping the house warm, in just a couple of minutes he had us scheduled for an appointment between 11 and 3. I asked if by any chance he could pinpoint it just a bit. He checked with the dispatcher, then told me he thought it would be on the earlier side of that window, maybe around 11:30. Italo, the technician, arrived right around 11:30. He was professional, polite, and he diagnosed a loose switch in about 30 seconds. Then, because we hadn't had the furnace cleaned this year (and maybe last year), he cleaned it and checked it out thoroughly. He explained everything he was doing very clearly. Sometimes you have a sense that you are dealing with people who do business in a straightforward, honest, professional manner, and that's the impression Snell made on me today. I am a fan. And I will be a repeat customer (although I hope not anytime soon).

The provider was very polite and worked hard to do a good job. He helped us understand the system we had and was highly professional throughout the visit.

Overall the experience was fine. There was an astrix on it where the product that you were buying needed more detail. Once they got in the house, I wound up paying more money. They need more information about what kind of a dehumidifier. It was a good deal for one kind of a dehumidifier, and a bad deal for another kind.The people who came out were fine, but the deal was not. I would not use them again because we have an agreement with someone else.

I signed that unit up for a 1-year maintenance/service agreement for two visits. One for Spring & Fall to make sure we are not in a pickle when A/C is needed and heat in the fall. That was an additional $179. We will see how it goes, usually not big on scheduled/routine service, but I'll reassess after they visit. The technician was great by the way, and he fixed the problem quickly and it's not been a problem since.

Italo came out from Snell, Inc and methodically diagnosed that my furnace circuit board was bad, probably damaged when I had my coils replaced recently causing water to get into the board. The service was excellent. Italo carefully explained all the details of his process to find the issue and all the options for restoring service to my home. It turned out that a previous company had masked the problem by adjusting the gas pressure for one stage of my 2 stage furnace. I opted to get that circuit board replaced because my furnace is not near end of life. Italo came back a few days later after ordering the part (furnace was still working via the gas pressure hack that was in place before he came). It was installed and now my furnace works flawlessly. He also recommended getting my ducts cleaned which I did and that has helped a lot too. Snell is highly recommended if you want long term service which is fair and effective. Ask for Italo also. He is sure to give you great service !!

It was a Big Deal purchase. It was great. I paid additional $100. I think they completed the job in an hour. There were no unexpected issues. They were very nice.

The technician was very courteous and came earlier than scheduled which was very nice. After diagnosing the issue, he went over the issues with me and also temporarily fixed the problem. He also advised me that the A/C Unit was functioning fine but the vent for the air intake was not blowing any air into the Unit which it should be. This needed to be fixed by the builders as it was a new construction. Upon his departure, noise started coming from the pipes. I called the company back and the technician was back within half hour to look at the issue. He fixed it and it has been fine ever since. I had an excellent experience with this company and would call them back if anything else pops up.

They were wonderful. I would recommend them to anybody. They were very, very prompt, very courteous, very neat, they put those little booties on their shoes, very helpful, showed me how to do it myself so if I didn?t want to have to pay for them next year, I can do it myself like changing the filters. They explained everything to me in detail so I can understand because we never had any track system. I just can?t say enough wonderful things about them. I would use them again in the future.

The service was very good. I would hire Snell again. They were good, they didn't try to sell me anything extra, and I would call them again.

Found our furnace wasn't igniting just before the weather was due to get quite cold. Called several Angie's List options looking for a company that could guarantee a same-day service call. After talking to three companies, settled on Snell. Friendly in booking process. Most importantly, they were able to tell me same-day availability immediately, unlike other firms that would need to call me back or wanted to collect a bunch of information first. Technician arrived on-time, calling half an hour ahead of time. Friendly and professional. Quite pleased and impressed up to this point. My only complaint involves pricing/billing. Bought the Angie's List $59 coupon for furnace diagnostic service (usually $99 without coupon.) After 10 mins of troubleshooting, Tech diagnosed a blocked drain reservoir due to dirty drain water. I thought great - minor issue that won't require any replacement parts or additional charges. But the tech informed me that to drain the reservoir, it would run a "minimum charge" of $94 more, above the $59 fee already paid. Knowing what I know now, I would have waived the tech off and done the draining myself. But I told him to go ahead. 10 mins later, the reservoir was drained and the furnace functioning again. $94 for 10m of work? Doesn't seem very fair to me. An extra $50 maybe, but a $94 "minimum adjustment" isn't right in my book. I appreciate Snell's quick availability and responsiveness, but you certainly pay a significant premium for that professionalism.

The service was fine. I had no problems. They were prompt and professional. I don’t have any complaints. I will use them again. There were no additional charges. The price was fine.
