The services were efficient. They did everything they said they would. I have no complaints

They sent out a technician the same day I called, last week. He diagnosed the problem on the heat pump. Today, they performed spring and summer check.

I don't have any complaints. They went in there and did the basic services. They kind of did the 20 point inspection with that thing and told me that eventually that thing will die and I will have to replace it. It was kind of a non-event. I don't know how it has been working since as I haven't lived in that house for almost 3 years. That house, I have it rented and the status of that property right now is that I am still going to have it replaced it for the future owner because I am selling it at this point. We will have to replace the furnace and the air conditioning unit. So far it is still running. It is still running and the problem is that I have a home warranty and the home warranty won't replace it until it is absolutely positively dead. I would rate them average on pricing. They are pretty quick on the response. I probably would use this provider again in the future if need be.

They service provider was great, very punctual and very courteous, but he could not service the brand of our particular unit so we will have to schedule the repair with another company. We were very impressed, however, with this man's service, and we will definitely be using him in the future if necessary and highly recommend him.

They came to check my AC and told me to put on a free on and it is working perfect now. I signed the contract for other services. They gave me a very professional and honest answer for the problem I was having. My problem was fixed in just $79 which the other company was saying a replacement of $5000.

Not much detail but were pleased with his work as he replaced the part right away after receiving it via mail order.

We purchased a Big Deal with them. Everything turned out fine.

They are outstanding! They are competant, patient, and knowledgeable. They did not try to upsell me, either, which I appreciated.

Our experience with Snell could not have been better. They were timely, courteous, and left no trace that they had been there (other than the new system) even though they had to use a fairly narrow set of interior steps to haul the new furnace in, and remove the old one, I recommend them without hesitation.

They did the job though. I really liked them. I thought they were really professional and they took time to explain to me what was wrong and how it would be remedied. The prices were reasonable. Their office is really responsive. They were right on time.

They were fine. I think the price was high in my own opinion. I went out and found somebody else that would do it $1300 less than what they quoted me. Their diagnostic work was fine but their prices were high for replacement equipment. I really didn't have any likes or dislikes. I guess the dislike was the cost of the unit that they quoted me. I think they were high.

Kevin was great! He guessed that our two filters were blocking too much airflow. So he advised us to take one out and replace the other with a more porous filter. He also lowered our fan speed and gave us tips for what to do if clunk returns

Fantastic. Sorry for the late delay in doing this review. Thought I had done one but today found I had not. Will definitely use again.

I highly recommend this company. They are always on time, courteous, and don't try to sell you services you don't need. We had the technician look at our humidifier which did not appear to be working properly, and also the source of a high pitched whistle that occurred when furnace kicked on. His recommendation was reasonable and we were pleased with the repairs.

There are two HVAC systems in my house. Both broke down after the very cold Feb/March. We purchased two "health checks" from Snell - one through Angie's list and the other directly from the technician when he visited our house. In short, after the "health checks", if we'd hire Snell to have the identified problems fixed, the price quote we were given was $2700. In the end, we did not hire them to fix the systems. We spent a tiny fraction of the quoted price and both HVAC systems are up and running now. Bottom line: Sometimes the very long "track record" of good services is misleading. Some companies could sit on the good history and take advantage of the trust people tend to have in them. I would give an F to Snell, but it may not leave even a small dent in its overall rating.

The service call was fine but their estimate of repair was far higher than another company.

Uneventful. Not much detail. The technician came, troubleshot for about two hours and replace the circuit board.

All was done well. Provider arrived as scheduled and performed all routine maintenance tasks for HVAC system.

It went fine. I think we changed it to a different kind of service but they were great. The service guy was knowledgeable, thorough and polite.

I called on a Sat morning as we awoke to a cold house. Snell came out that morning and replaced a part and within 30 mins we had heat. Fast and professional and didn't charge extra for Sat repair.

The technician was very professional, friendly, and informative. He took his time checking the system and explaining how it all worked. Best of all, he did not recommend that any work be done but said things were working as well as they could be! A great deal for peace of mind to check our heating system, which had not been checked in at least the 3 years we've owned our home.

Technician arrived on time and provided professional service. Took care to wear shoe/boot covers to protect floors. I would recommend this company and would use them myself again.

We have used Snell for several years for our annual HVAC maintenance, cleanings and minor repairs and were always pleased with the service, however we had an unacceptable experience in January and will no longer use them. During some of the coldest days we have experienced in our area, we noticed that our furnace was having trouble reaching the temp set on the thermostat. I called to schedule an appointment and logically because it was so cold it took several days to get an appointment but we were willing to wait because we wanted to continue to use Snell and we HAD HEAT. The person who scheduled our repair visit even told me about an Angies List coupon which could save money on the maintenance visit which was great! When technician arrived he determined the problem and suggested replacing a part. We agreed to the repair and were advised it would take 2-3 days to order the part and then schedule installation. This was not correct as it ended up taking almost a week for Snell to get the part and several more days to get scheduled. This was a misleading inconvenience, but not a big deal because we HAD HEAT. Finally the day came for the repair/installation. The technician arrived at the appointed time and completed the installation. He confirmed to us that the system was working well and left, this was at about 5pm. Around 9pm we noticed our house getting cooler and the thermostat confirmed that the temp was dropping. I called the Snell after hours emergency number and received a prompt call back. The person on the telephone tried to walk us through checking our furnace but then determined he "wasn't sure of the problem" and advised us to turn off the heater and someone "would call in the morning to schedule a visit." I perhaps mistakenly expected that Snell's 24 hour emergency service meant that they would come out and fix whatever they did to our system, but that apparently is not the case. That is my first reason for giving them an F rating. After all, I HAD HEAT until they made their "repair". Now during some of the coldest weather my family (including a 10 month old infant) no longer had heat. I did receive a call the next morning, but I missed it as I was feeding my baby. The person who left the message said that I was scheduled for repair between 2-4pm. It was now 8am. I had NO HEAT for 12 hours and they wanted me to wait another 8 hours with NO HEAT? Needless to say, I was extremely unhappy. I immediately returned the call only to be given the run around. They put me on hold for a very long time (which side note: after listening to their message says they do have 24hr emergency service for "members" I guess I didn't qualify as I am not a member even though they made a "repair" which resulted in having NO HEAT). Finally I was told that Vince, a senior service technician would be at my house but not after attending a staff meeting. Really? A technician needs to attend a staff meeting instead or making vital repairs to homes WITHOUT HEAT for which Snell was completely responsible for? My husband then called back, as he is a little less accepting of such information, and then was told that Vince would be coming straight to our home instead of the meeting and would be there within the hour. Well the hour came and went and we still had NO HEAT as a result of Snell's "repair" and no technician in sight. We called back and were told yet again that he was on his way, but it turns out he did have to come in for the meeting. The run around and lies in this situation just made a really bad situation worse. Vince did eventually arrive at my house in the early afternoon. Earlier than my original appointment time, but far too long after having NO HEAT as a result of their "repair" or "installation". Vince quickly determined that the other technician did not install the piece of equipment correctly. He made the adjustments and repairs as necessary and our heater was then back to full functionality. Following this situation we received no apology or concession from Snell even after my husband specifically said he wanted a call back from a senior manager. I am giving Snell an F because I, along with my 10 month old baby and husband, had NO HEAT for almost 24 hours as a result of their incompetence while installing a new part. I am giving Snell an F because they did not provide 24 hour emergency service even though they were directly responsible for our loss of heat. I am giving Snell an F because they knowing attempted to schedule a follow up repair to fix THEIR ERROR almost 24 hours after the initial incident which resulted in our family having NO HEAT. I am giving Snell an F because when I did not accept the 2nd appointment time because I was living with NO HEAT as a result of their shoddy installation they repeatedly lied to my husband and I to get us off the phone giving us false information regarding the technicians arrival time. Needless to say, I do not advise using Snell for any repair small or large. They do not provide quality work nor do not stand behind their work. Stay away!

I purchased the Angie's List big deal for a winter system check. Within the first 5 minutes of the technicians visit I was told I need a new system as my system was too large for my home. When I asked if there was any other indication that the system needed to be replaced. He simply offered the system was at the end of its service life and should be replaced soon. The furnace is 10 years old, and I'm confident that it does not need to be replaced this soon. The technician note no other descrepancies.
