Snell Heating & Air Conditioning

I like them and that's who I continue to use to clean my furnace. I've had contracts with other companies and I didn't like them. I'd give them an "A" overall. For the service I like them, I think they are a little pricey, higher than some. But I trust them and they do a good job. You get what you pay for some times. Everything is "A" for them.

They were good. It was a good price, it was 70 or 80 bucks I guess. Overall, they were good. The pricing was good there were no surprises. They were good, they come on time. They were on time. They're very professional. It was just one guy. He was out there for 45 minutes. It was the second time we used them.

Tim came to do the job, he was in and out. Quick, efficient. Diagnosed the problem immediately. He didn't try to sell unnecessary extras.

I preface this review by noting that I have very high standards (read my other reviews if you don't believe me). I am happy to say that Snell exceeded all of them. The difference was clear from the start. The salesman (Champ) was both exceedingly knowledgeable and honest. He was one of the few who told me that the phrase "up to 20 seer" in the brochure was meaningless. He told me the actual seer ratings of each system and carefully explained the ones with the best bang for the buck. Best of all, the price was right. The installation was quick and flawless. They had up to 5 guys working. Everything was neat and tidy. They really take pride in their work. They assisted in getting all rebates and even set up the county inspection (most installers seem to skip the inspection all together). My electric bill have been cut by half, and I can't even hear the air conditioner. In addition, the new system dehumidifies and circulates air in my house much better than the old one, resulting in a much greater level of comfort. I was prepared to pay a significant premium to get the kind of service that Snell offers, but to my delight, I got the extra level of service for about the same cost as dealers who offered much less. Even if you have the highest standards, you really can't go wrong with Snell.

We were really disappointed with Snell when we had our yearly maintenance done. They used a scare tactic on us to try to get us to install a new AC unit with them by telling us the AC unit was going to fall through our ceiling. The technician was sexist and told me that if we wanted to go with a new unit, he would come back when my husband was home to talk numbers and go over any questions he had. He also commented on the fact that we had a pool and said he would never buy a house with a pool and put his personal preference over the safety of a child... He tinkered with our AC, which has never had any issues, and that night it stopped working. We have a 3 month year old, so this was really awful with the summer heat. We called Snell to have them come fix it and they sent him back out. When I answered the door he asked gleefully if the AC was leaking through the ceiling like he predicted. I told him no, it had just stopped working. He went up to "fix it" and told me the coils were corroded - which he had failed to tell me the day before? He poured two buckets of water into the unit to "clean it". It started running after he was up in the attic for a bit, so he left. That night water started leaking down the door frame of our 3 month old's room. We called Snell and asked them what in the world was going on. They defended their employee and weren't available for an emergency visit. We ended up calling another HVAC company and paying over $400 for an emergency visit to fix the clog in our drain that the Snell employee had caused and put the cap back on the drain which he had left off and caused the drain to conveniently overflow. Either it was gross negligence or they tampered with our AC. We will NOT be using Snell again.

Received excellent service from start to finish! Maintenance technician was very knowledgeable about condition of unit and economical replacement options. Installations technician were exceptional in every regard. Kudos go out to Joel, Eric, Sean, and the service technician Surgy.

The installers were here on time and worked until dark. After the installation was done, they explained how the systems run and how to control them. The cost was $13,800.00 and with financing comes to $483.00 monthly for the next 12 months.

Snell sent a technician right away. He evaluated the situation and told us what needed to be done for an immediate fix. Our air conditioner is old so we do know that it will need to be replaced but we were very happy that we could delay replacing it.

Gary, the technician, was very efficient. He arrived on time and my check-up went very well. Gary has been assigned to me on numerous occasions. He is very nice.

He was thorough! Someone is coming today to repair.

I keep using them. I'm very happy with their business. I've got a contract with them and they do spring and fall check for me. I didn't shop around. I found them and was very happy with what they did the first time they came out. It was fine. I haven't really gone back and looked at price after that. I had them come back. I wouldn't have them back if they weren't good. I have an annual contract so I pay an annual fee and they come and do both the fall and spring servicing under that contract. I still have the fall service left on this contract before I renew for the next.

These gyts are fantastic. Last HVAC company that came by tried to get me to get a overpriced new system, then didn't even leave things as he found it when he left. Snell came in, cleaned up the other guys' mess and got my system working for a reasonable price. Thank you guys! I wish I called you first!

price was great. They are front and honest, they do not try to do something unless absolutely necessary, and they do a good job explaining. Honesty, professionalism, and a good service. Always cleans up and wears the booties when he comes in.

They've been great. They've been absolutely wonderful. I just used them through a local radio ad here because they had a promotion going on that if you buy an A/C they'll install a new furnace for free. So I got a pretty good deal between the two.

I've been relying on Snell Heating & Air Conditioning for the annual check-ups of HVAC system for several years now. It's a true pleasure to work with this company! Technicians take time to do the inspection properly and they patiently answer all my questions. Customer Service is very helpful and easy to work with. Couple years ago I was looking to switch to air filters with a different MERV rating to better handle allergies in our household. Customer Service connected me with one of the technicians who explained all the pros and cons of choosing a higher MERV rating. I'm very happy with this company!

James did a very thorough spring inspection and found a suspicious indication. He did extensive additional checks to narrow down the problem and explained that a service call would need to be scheduled to replace a flow valve. He was extremely professional and pleasant to work with. Within a couple days, Snell called to schedule the repair; they considered that I had limited availability the next day but also said they didn't want to leave us without A/C over the weekend, so they said they would work within my schedule to get us back to full cooling ASAP. Rick and Carl came out and did a great job. They they showed up early, did a quick assessment, and said they felt there was time to do the job right and still allow me to get to my appointment. They explained how things were going throughout the repair, shared test results with me, and completed the job efficiently. Snell technicians are the best! This was all under warranty, so no charge to me.

The Snell repair guys were very efficient and punctual. They were also very straightforward in their evaluations of the units. This is the second time I have used them and will definitely call on them in the future.
