Snell Heating & Air Conditioning

Then my very old system finally kicked the bucket we needed a new system. They offered to apply the Freon charge to a new system, but another vendor had better prices. That being they did fantastic job.

The weather had suddenly turned cold and Snell was contacted and they replied immediately. A service tech named Italo S. arrived and fixed the problem quickly. We had a good experience and have used Snell prior and will use again. The price was standard for such a request.

Snell personnel are always thorough, professional, skilled, courteous, &careful. Three years ago, they repaired a 2-year-old heat pump that someone else had incorrectly installed and on which a part had failed. Since then, my system has performed perfectly. Whenever I've needed Snell, they have responded promptly. When they perform my semi-annual inspection, the technician always explains each check he's performing. Again, they are always most thorough.

Used incorrect email to send an estimate that lead to day with a getting possible option to find the right solution to the issues. Still consider to hire other company to complete repair work due to unseasonable prices for provided estimate. Per other feedback review it sounds like it as a part of the company business model to offer a replacement of the system vs. finding the source of the problem - a quick win with the max profit. Not sure it helps to win customer's respect in long run. No harm but not a reasonable solution for customers issue - if you are out of a hot season than try to make the right choose.

Went well. They were on-time and promptly went to work. Short lunch break and they were finished on schedule. They were knowledgeable and friendly. I plan to continue using them.

Very good service as always. Snell always sends a short bio of the service technician as well as a photo. We have had Loyd Boyd several times - what a good guy! He takes his time explaining what he did and what we need to do to keep our system up and running. There is no up selling of services or products. The price for twice a year maintenance checks is the best we have found.

They did a great job. Great price and we signed up for their year round service package.

Price is included in my maintenance plan. They are friendly and very helpful. When I rented I used them and I liked this service provider so I decided to use their maintenance plan at my town house.

Quick fix - the tech was done in an hour

Overall went well, but their scheduling policy is not convenient for customers as they decide when they get to your home for the seasonal check ups, and these usually take place very early or late in the seasons.

David arrived within the time frame provided. I also received an e-mail from Snell with the name and photo of the service person being sent to my home. David was professional, diagnosed the problem, showed me the cause explaining what needed to be done, provided the cost of repair and time it would take to make repair.

Not well. After the "leak detection" I was told the system needed to be replaced, $5,000! Was pressured to commit to replacement but said I would think about it. Had another company come out, no leak was found. Called Snell back, they offered to send out their "top" guy. He came out, did not find the original leak but claimed to have found a different leak, this one in the air handler. Good news, didn't need to replace system. Bad news, cost to fix "new" leak, $2,300. Had another company out, again no leak was found. To Snell's (small) credit, the cost for the original leak check was refunded, but not the cost for the service call or the coolant.

They were quick. I mean, they were nice and friendly, but what I didn't like is the job site -- the way they were telling me i needed to buy a new air conditioning unit. That is the downside. I don't like it when they tell me I need to buy a new unit because of age or whatever. They might be being honest, but I don't like to be pushed without looking at options. I called another company in the area and (they) gave me some options. My air conditioning is working perfectly fine now. I spent, like, $500 as opposed to spending $12,000 for the whole unit. That would have been unnecessary because I don't know what they are talking about -- the electronics of it. I give them a high mark on responsiveness, but the options I got I was disappointed. I need to trust that i am getting the honest truth not just jumping and saying the unit is 10 years old and i need a new one. Their professionalism and punctuality was pretty good, but it is a bad cloud over my head that they pushed me to get a new unit. They made me fill like it is hopeless.

Positives: Technician was on time, professional, and friendly. Took his time to examine everything (a far cry better than the service I got through my home warranty company), wore shoe covers, and talked me through the whole process. Negatives: Because he thought there was a break in the HVAC ducting somewhere he couldn't see, he wouldn't give a quote or definitive next steps. After stating they'd evaluate back in the office and provide an estimate, I didn't hear back for two weeks until I called them, and was told the issue was too nebulous for them, and I needed to hire a company to video map my HVAC ducting before they'd give me a quote on a fix.

Fixed some corrosion (only 6 year old Lennox). Asked for quote to get permanent fix under warranty - new inducer motor. Never got quote. Problem recurred at end of winter. Finally followed up and quote $743 with no willingness to check if warranty would cover. Will not use Snell again.

The Lennox iHarmony system is amazing. All four zones stay at their set temperature and I hardly notice it running. Snell did the design homework necessary to put together a nice system and executed the installation perfectly with a minimum of disruption.

They were real good. They real honest and saved me about $600.They provided real good service.

They were friendly, prompt, and courteous. They had missed some kind of significant items in the inspection. The interactions were positive. They could have more thorough examination and proactive disclosure.

They were wonderful. They came by the same day. I did an annual contract thing. Very knowledgeable, thorough and timely service. Sameday is unbelievable. It was outstanding. Their punctuality was right on.

Very professional. Didn't try to sell us on anything else.

Both systems restored to good working order and have presented no problems since. Technician working in house for at least two hours.
