Everyting went better than we would have expected.

The salesman was very thorough, but the process of selecting new roofing and all the different components was very complex. We reviewed the proposal carefully, but somehow managed to let the contractor drop one important component out of the scope of work without our awareness. The unfamiliar terminology was a big part of the problem. Also, the contractor's form contract made no sense or was very customer unfriendly in several places, and getting changes was a bit frustrating. In the end, the workmen seemed to disregard certain details in the contract anyway. The workmen were punctual and seemed to do a good job. Only one pre-negotiated price increase was required, for one roof board that needed to be replaced. The workers seemed to take safety requirements seriously, which we felt reflected positively on company management. There was no damage done to our property. The finished job looks good, except for the tacky-looking treatment of one round window, which may have been unavoidable given that the new siding was vinyl. Job site clean-up was an issue. Although our yard was cleaned, trash was allowed to blow away from the site into neighboring woods and stream, and after this was called to my attention by a neighbor I managed to collect a giant bag full of construction trash that was clearly from my job site. I would definitely use this company again because I think they did a good job overall.

The estimator was prompt, professional and knew his business. After signing the contract for the work, we requested to delay the work for an additional 10 days while we were out of town. The office called the next day after signing, and scheduled us for the same week we were to be gone. However, after bringing to the woman's attention our written request on the contract, we were able to schedule the work correctly. The office called and confirmed the scheduled work at least two days before. Then the day of the work, which was to begin at 8:00AM, I waited until 9:30AM without a crew or phone call. When I called the company I was connected to the scheduler who said the crew was delayed at another job from yesterday and would be there later in the day. I asked why if they knew this, they didn't call to let me know. The woman was not very customer service oriented, so I asked to speak with the estimator that I signed the contract with. He returned my call, worked out the kinks in the schedule and reassured me the work would be done on time and to my satisfaction. It turned out there were two work crews, one to replace the boards and gutters, and the other to replace the shingles and attic fan. The gutter crew was outstanding! They worked efficiently and did a good clean up. However, the shingle crew was not as efficient. While the attic fan appeared to be correctly installed, they came and went in less than 30 minutes, they originally missed areas, only replace 15 shingles, and I found shingle scraps and nails throughout the yard and left on the roof. To this company's credit, they do an excellent follow up. When I explained the issues, they were right out and laid the additional shingles, removed the broken scraps and policed the yard for debris and nails. In addition, the office manager followed up on the customer service issues incurred during scheduling and everything was resolved. This is a good company with fair practices. I would use them again.

The experience was excellent, despite some problems that cropped up. A miscommunication took place between the estimator and the actual workers, as the workers were not informed that they had to use shorter nails, as my cathedral ceiling did NOT have any insulation and lower ceiling. As a result, the nails they used showed up on my ceiling. They also did not finish the caulking on my roof due to the weather, but that was not problem; they knew it and fully planned to come back and finish that part of the job. I called and let the office know of the nail problem. They were apologetic and promptly scheduled someone else to come and look at the problem to figure out the appropriate solution. The correction was finished within the month, at which time they also finished the caulking. I have had no leak problems since. They did not ask for the second half of the bill until the correction had been made and I was fully satisfied.

From what I can see from the ground work looks fine. Too soon to say if the leak is resolved. From the quote I expected the needed work to be more substantial. In actuality, one guy on the roof for 1 1/2 hours with one helper on the ground, some nails and caulk. Price was over $750. Seems to me this was a gross overcharge

Roofers and More did not do the work.

People from Roofing & More Inc. Company were very responsive. They did a beautiful job. They got the job done very quickly. There were some minor issues after they finished the work; however they took care of it quickly when I called them about it. Their workers were very professional. I can only say good things about their work. The only drawback I thought was their price. They were the highest of all the other estimates I got. I would have appreciated them more if their prices were more flexible. I would use them again in the future if required depending on their estimate.

Their price seemed to be pretty reasonable. They did a fine job. I didn't have any trouble or leaks after that. The sun tube worked out okay. I would use them again in the future if need be.

They were okay. There were a couple times when he mentioned that he might need to talk to my husband about something, which was kind of annoying. My husband doesn't know any more about roofs than I do. Other than that, they were professional. They seem like a good company. We may still go with them. They seemed like they went to great lengths to show us all of their certification. They were up-front about that, instead of requiring us to ask. They were pretty responsive. We called at a really busy time, but they got us in quickly. They were very punctual.

These guys are great. They are straight shooters and do a fantastic job without you having to even know they are there. From the time the gave me the estimate to the time the left, they were no problem at all. Very classy bunch of local professionals.

After the May 2010 hail storm we were inundated with offers of repair work by out-of-state firms claiming that the insurance company would cover everything. I wanted to deal with a local vendor, who would be around later if something went wrong. The "storm chasers" would most likely be in another state and unavailable if a problem occurred. I called my insurance company, Farmers, and asked for the name of "an honest local roofer" and got the name Roofing & More. Joe Cotter, Project Manager, came over and inspected the roof. He was very knowledgeable and did not try to push us into anything. I called Farmers and asked Cotter to be here when the insurance adjuster came, and he did. The insurance adjuster, Odell Greene, was very thorough and he and Cotter spent a lot of time checking out the roof and siding very carefully. I got proposals on replacing the roof and the siding as separate projects. After talking with neighbors and checking on Roofing & More I decided to go ahead with both projects. Things went differently on the two efforts. The roofing crew showed up on time and protected my new driveway from their heavy equipment, which I had asked for them to do. The crew covered all of our shrubs to protect them. They went to work immediately and worked fast and efficiently. They found some damage not covered by insurance (wet plywood under the old roof) but it clearly needed to be done, and the cost was reasonable. They did about 90% of the job the first day, and returned early the next day to finish. They hauled off all of the old roofing and cleaned up thoroughly. The roof looks great and I am very pleased. The cost for this was $12,000. A senior field manager, Joe Huber, and an assistant came over to inspect the work. The siding crew was totally different. They postponed a couple of times because of availability of materials. They did not protect the driveway from their equipment and a couple of dings showed up (nothing to get excited about). They did a half-hearted job of covering the shrubbery. It took about 3 days to complete the work. It looks great. However, the crew did not really clean up after the job. They left a half pallet of materials in the driveway and I had to make 3 phone calls to get it removed. I found 41 nails the day after they left, and 14 of them were in my driveway. Over the next several weeks I found another 10 in flower beds. I found numerous pieces of materials from their job in the shrubbery and in the yard. The stuff I found in the shrubs and yard filled a contractor's bag half way. I gave this to Joe Huber when he came to inspect. Joe and his assistant policed the yard and found some other things. He was very unhappy about his crew's performance. The cost was $14,000. Now, would I use Roofing & More again? On roofing, an unqualified YES, and I have passed Joe Cotter's name and phone number to several neighbors. On siding, I would use them again but with a written provision that would allow me to withhold at least $500 if I was not satisfied with the cleanup.

They did a good job and they were efficient. The pricing was fair and it was a shake roof so it is not a cheap venture. They cleaned up every day and put everything away and come back the next day for the work. They are not cheap but certainly if there is any issues they will come back to fix the problem. I haven't had one but my neighbors have just for the replacement if the shakes come out the roof. They are in business for a while. I will use them in future.

It was excellent. They did the work, the way they told and the roof looks good. The price was competitive and quality was excellent.

Oscar met with us a number of times and worked very hard explaining the roofing process and what it was we should expect, which we very much appreciated. However, once the estimate was prepared and we didn't sign it immediately, it got very uncomfortable. The price was significantly higher (by thousands) than another estimate we'd received even after he came down from the top of the line roof. I do feel that, had we gone with Roofing and More, it likely would have been a very good experience, but between the seemingly high price and the off-putting attitude when we said we wanted an opportunity to think about signing after the estimate was created it did not seem to be a good fit for us.

Excellent service and work from start to finish. I would highly recommend this company again. By the way, the company's name has been changed to Roofing and More, Incorporatd.

We called this company to resolve a small roof leak, after having previously hired another firm to fix it and the other firm having failed. R&M identified and solved the problem within a couple of minutes -- including the time to stand up a ladder. This was a small problem which I would expect any company in roofing to be able to fix -- but sad to say their competitors did not succeed. The guy from R&M clearly knew his business, and as a result of their simple and quick fix, we'll certainly think of them first whenever we need roofing done in the future. The solution turned out to be $0.01 worth of sealant put on a fastener in a skylight -- literally squirting a little caulk on a nail. Annoyingly, the other company had missed this basic thing. R&M didn't bother charging us for this, and actually took the time to take a couple digital photos of the skylights fasteners and the missing caulk.

From start to finish this was a great experience! We interviewed about six roofing companies, and Roofing & More Inc. gave us the most confidence that they would do the best job, and their price was very competitive. Jeremiah, the estimator, listened to us carefully and came up with some particularly creative solutions to the roofing problems we were trying to solve. His proposal actually contained a number of pictures of our roof and the problems we had. Specifically, we have a 25-year-old roof so there was a space between where the walls of the house meet the roof. As a result we have had continuous problems with squirrels getting into our attic and big problems with ice dams. For very little additional cost, Jeremiah came up with the idea of using oversized metal drip edge to fill this gap all around the house and to double the drip edge and ice and water shield on the north side of the house to provide extra protection against ice dams. We now feel really protected. Exactly what we wanted. Geraldo and his guys were the crew that did the roofing. These roofers are master craftsman who really care about their work! For example, they used snap lines to make sure that all shingles were laid exactly evenly. We've seen other roofers who just throw the shingles down. And the R&M crew carefully cleaned up after themselves every day. We can honestly say that our roof looks like a work of art. We were also pleased to use Roofing and More Inc. because they are a GAF Certified Master Elite Roofing Contractor. There are very few of these in this area. If you use a roofer with this certification, GAF will independently inspect the final work. This was particularly important to us, because we weren't going to go on the roof to see what was done, and we wouldn't know what to look for if we went up there, anyway. Then GAF provides a 20 year guarantee on workmanship. As best we know, nobody else provides as long a warranty on workmanship. The typical warranty on shingles doesn't mean much because shingles are so inexpensive. The real cost is in labor, so the workmanship warranty was very important to us. All in all, from start to finish this company provided great service to us.

I had this company install a sun tunnel in my roof two years ago. This May it started leaking. They came out right away and found a problem with the flashing and a couple of shingles. They fixed it for free. They also went up into my attic, at my request, to make sure the insulation was OK. While they were on the roof, I asked them to fix some problems that i knew had occurred during the huge snow storms this winter (drip edge disconnected, gutter sagging, etc.) I had intended to pay for this part, but they threw it in for free also.

I'm happy because I don't have a leak in my roof anymore. They came out quickly, did the work, and left which is what I needed.

Overall very good work. Scheduled to meet on 15 October. Individual from the company arrived at the scheduled time. Informed the individual that the flashing was leaking above the kitchen window and that the skylight needed to be replaced. Individual looked at the flashing and skylight in the middle of a rain storm. He assessed that the sealing around the flashing needed to be replaced and agreed that the skylight needed to be replaced. It was very old and was beginning to crack. The individual provided me a fair estimate that included the price of the skylight. I was informed that I would receive a call prior to the work being perfomed. It was not necessary for me to be a home. I received the phone call prior to the work being accomplished. The work was performed as scheduled. I have not experienced any problems.

We received a very detailed and professional estimate from Carlos. He took a lot of time with us and it was because of his initial contact we negotiated a price with Roofing and Moore. They were not our lowest bid. They did negotiate with us once we had comparable bids. The roofers came on time and finished on time. They sent a post-install inspection prior to paying our balance. They had a crew out a few days later to fix a few shingles that weren't up to the inspector's satisfaction. We were very pleased with the entire process.

I thought that they were very good and responsive. I was very happy with the job that they did. I didn't have any problems with them. The job took a little longer than they thought, but that wasn't a big deal.

Overall, I do not recommend using Roofing & More, Inc. Carlos, on their sales staff, couldn't have been nicer. He answered all of my questions, and came back twice. He got up in the attic, even though the access was difficult. Carlos gets an A+. All others get C grades, at best. First, I had several scheduling issues-they rescheduled on me three times. Twice because of weather issues-fine, I understand that. The other time, they said it was because one of their crews was "out of town". When I pressed, they said, one crew was "Out of the country." Huh? Do you not employ US citizens? I was told they only hired full time employees. Next, the girl who answers the phone, repeatedly left me messages at the wrong number. I gave her my cell and work numbers numerous times. Yet, whenever she called to reschedule, she called and left a message on my home phone. Why? Why then, did I give you my work and cell numbers at least three time? Why did I tell them to two different employees in the front office and asked that specifically call me at work or on my cell. I took a day off from work, expecting a crew to show up, but only found out after the fact, that they had rescheduled. Next, my gutters were installed by a sub-contractor. This was to have occurred AFTER my roof was replaced. That's the protocol, b/c the roofers might find rotted fascia wood behind the gutters that should be replaced. When I called, the receptionist didn't seem very concerned of this scheduling flaw. She assured me it wouldn't matter. The gutters were not installed well-they weren't even connected to the downspout extension that takes the water away from the foundation. I found out the hard way when water was dumped next to the house during a downpour two weeks later. The roof replacement, once finally scheduled, was okay--they started and finished in one day. Only one crew member spoke English. In order to replace some trim on my roof, the installers got on my neighbor's flat roof. Okay, find, I understand. But, they didn't inform me that they would need access and they didn't ask my neighbor for permission. My neighbor was upset, b/c he has a flat roof and was concerned that the installers may have stepped on, and damaged a membrane that goes from the flat part of the roof to the vertical portion of brickwork. I had no idea. I raised this with the on-site supervisor. He said not to worry, as they would send out their VP, one week later to inspect my roof, and my neighbors. Todd Shaffer came out one week later for the inspection. I told my neighbor. Todd told me he would take digital pics of the neighbors roof and email them to him. My neighbor thought that was fine. Guess what? Todd never emailed them. Todd told me directly that he would do so. I made sure that Todd had his correct email address. So, to summarize--communication issues, gutters installed poorly, VP didn't follow through on a promise.

They were great. The whole process went really well. They gave us some options. They were professional and did the work in a timely manner. I would use them again in the future.
