After meeting with Nathan, we discussed our needs and made it very clear we were just starting to look into replacing our roof and would be doing our do diligence in looking for the best deal. He assured us that Roof and More would be our best bet and there was some sales pressure but not unbearable. Gave him a round about price of what we could afford but it was just a guess as we had no idea what it would cost. Hence him being there. He talked about financing plans they provide. Estimator scheduled two appointments on which both he couldn't show up for. He did show up for the first initial appointment that was made after the Home show but not the two after that one. His excuses were stuck in traffic in Warrenton and I couldn't figure you estimate because I used the wrong pricing sheet. We called the office and asked them to send quote over via email and they refused to do that. Both my wife and I took time off work to accommodate these appointments and were let down on both occasions. We would not recommend them in the future just for not being punctual and staying on schedule as promised.
Description of Work: Met at Home show and made appointment. Nathan showed up and we went over what we wanted them to provide. New roof with and with out tear off of old roofing, new gutters, and facia wrap/repair where needed as well as drip cap.

Dear [Member name removed]: First, I want to personally apologize for disappointing you with our performance. Missing appointments is NOT the way we usually do business here at Roofing & More. In fact, we place great value on meeting our obligations to our customers, from start to finish. Unfortunately, we got off to a very bad start and did not have the opportunity to show you the quality of our work. I am particularly sorry that you and your wife took the time to be ready for meetings that did not occur. You should know that Nathan is no longer working at Roofing & More. Although there are certainly times when circumstances interfere with a schedule, missing two appointments is simply not acceptable. Again, please accept my apologies, and know that this performance was far outside our normal customer experience. Sincerely, Kyle Hoffman President/Owner Roofing & More, Inc.

We checked with 3 other roofing companies. We went with one in between. Roofing & More was the highest and the most high pressure. We could have lived without the 1.5 hour presentation. After we said we needed to think about it, we felt even more pressure. Also, if you do use them, they will come down in price. We felt like we were at a car dealer. Talk about talking to a manger. BTW: We no longer deal with car dealers directly. I am sure they do good work, but TOO MUCH PRESSURE!! Glad this is finished.

Dear [member name removed], I want to thank you for sharing your concerns about your recent roofing consultation with Roofing & More. Feedback from our customers – whether good or bad – is important to our efforts to constantly improve our service and the experience we provide to every customer. I am very sorry if you felt undue pressure from anyone in our organization. That is NOT our style at all. Our goal is to present the facts as discovered, then outline the way in which we would solve your roofing problems. That is one reason why our presentation lasted for more than an hour – we want you to know exactly what we would do on your roof, and to understand the process. As for the estimated cost, we take pride in making a thorough and comprehensive proposal that includes all anticipated costs. Sometimes that means our quotes appear to be higher than other roofing companies. I hope you were not burdened with surprise charges and additions for work that was suddenly “discovered” by the roofer you selected, a situation we seldom incur. More often than not, the value of a Roofing & More roof has proven to be higher and longer lasting. I hope that your roofing project went smoothly and successfully. If you should require other roofing or home improvement needs, please don’t dismiss Roofing & More based on this experience alone. Sincerely, Kyle Hoffman President Roofing & More, Inc.

Their salesman, Richard, was very professional and took time to try to get every detail correct. When an error was found, it was corrected promptly. Their price was slightly above the other two bids, but the apparent quality made the extra cost seem justified. In the end, I believe that the price was reasonable. Their roofing work was superior and the changing/re-sizing of the gable vent was perfect. They did everything exactly according to plan. However, the wrapping of the door and window frames did not go well. The bending and fitting of the aluminum is very nice, BUT, the caulking work was not acceptable. The lines were too thick and wavy. The poor caulking work detracts significantly making the final appearance less than satisfactory. Also, even after spending time talking to the sales representative, the crew did not know to seal and wrap the metal lentils above the windows. This should be standard practice - otherwise the homeowner is left with a small but very aggravating paint job to do. Every other home in my neighborhood whose window frames are wrapped, have the lentils wrapped in one piece with the top of the window frame. When they came back several days later to do this, they patched things together leaving nail heads exposed. When I compare the appearance of the work on my home with the work done by a company that received lower grades on Angie's List, the work on my house does not look as good. The accounting for the job also did not go smoothly, although it turned out okay in the end. I received two erroneous "final" invoices before receiving a correct one. They were just mistakes. I don't feel that they were deliberate attempts to overcharge me. The company did not provide cell phone contact information for their operations supervisor. When I called the company to complain about the workmanship of the caulking being done, I had to go through the switchboard and THEY had to contact the supervisor. I did get his phone number from him when he came by as a result of my complaints regarding the caulking workmanship. I feel that the company should give the customer the contact information for the management person that is responsible for overseeing the job. In saying that I would use Roofing and More in the future, I would do it with some trepidation. I would definitely recommend them for roofing, but not for window/door frame wrapping.
Description of Work: Removed a cupola and repaired the roof. Removed and re-sized a gable vent. Wrapped all windows and some door frames with aluminum. Repaired some rotted wood around two window units.

Dear [Member name removed], I want to thank you for sharing your concerns about the renovation work we recently did on your home through the Angie’s List website. Feedback from our customers – whether good or bad – is important to our efforts to constantly improve our service and the experience we provide to every customer. I am happy you were pleased with almost all of the work we performed on your home. Some of the work was quite involved, and our crew enjoyed the challenge! But I am naturally concerned that you were not pleased with the details of the work on the lentils. I would like the opportunity to revisit this part of the job and complete it to your and my satisfaction. I am sure that if you are not satisfied then I would not be satisfied. I am truly sorry for this and promise to make it right should you allow me to. As for communicating with our company, the delay in getting you in touch with the supervisor was regrettable. However we do reassign responsibility to a “follow up” team once a job has been completed and accepted. I will certainly take under advisement your suggestion that we provide direct contact information with the new supervisor. Please contact me at your convenience so that we can schedule an inspection of your door lentils to correct any insufficiencies. Sincerely, Kyle Hoffman President Roofing & More, Inc.

1. When Roofing and More delivered the wood on a Friday before start of job on Monday (which would be used to replace any rotted wood on my roof), they left it out in the elements uncovered with rain predicted for the next three days. While I understand the wood is probably treated, leaving it out for 3 days while it rains is not a good business practice - so I was the one who covered the supplies to make sure they did not get wet. 2. The flashing they put up, compared to all my neighbors and other houses I have seen, looks buckled but the Project Manager (PM) said nope that is the way it has supposed to be installed. 3. The fascia they put up on one of my bedroom windows is beige not white but they sent their PM out who swears it's white - it's not and you can tell the difference with the rest of the house. The only reason I did not push that issue was that I have in writing from the HOA that they said it could stay and I plan on redoing the siding next year.. Therefore, I ended up sending them a cheque for work done. BIG MISTAKE... 4. Right after the "Sandy" storm, I got two leaks in a bedroom that I had not had leaks in before and called the company to let them know. When they sent the same PM out he came with another man who did not speak English to me but it was obvious he understood what I was saying because he appeared to be the one telling the PM how to respond to me. When I took them into the attic to show them the water they told me it was because I had cracks in my bricks and he had tried to caulk them but "maybe need stronger caulk". What professional contractor puts roofing caulk on brick missing mortar - why not tell the homeowner and fix the problem while you are up there and put in a change ? I was furious that Roofing and More put the roof on knowing I had damage to the brickwork and did not tell me. One of the things I was very specific about with their sales representative was water damage I was experiencing. Who does this? I would not recommend them as a contractor and would definitely not have the PM they used for my home because he either doesn't know what he's doing or deliberately cuts corners so I will need to hire an independent inspector and find out what responsibility Roofing and More has to the damage and what is really mine. Bottom line this company is so attentive while trying to get you to sign a contract and pay them but if a problem occurs and you have already paid ---- good luck.

Dear Member: I was very surprised and concerned to read your recent review of our company on Angie’s List. Clearly you had several concerns about our procedures and the services we provided. I wish you had called these issues to my attention directly in October when they had first occurred. We are a small, family business and I take our reputation and our service very seriously, and would have responded immediately to your concerns. I investigated this project personally to discover what happened. As for the temporary storage of materials prior to the work, our standard procedure is to have the wood covered by our distributor upon delivery we apologize for this oversight. Again I have looked into this and acknowledge this with the appropriate individuals to ensure this does not happen in the future. The appearance of “buckling” in the flashing is more puzzling. However, it may be simply the folds in the material used to create corners or angles. No flashing would ever be put on your home unless we were absolutely certain it would do the job it was intended to do. To address the fascia concern, not every piece of fascia is cut from the same sheet and there will be variations in shading, colors may vary. If the color of the fascia is truly so different from other sections, and if you would like please let me know and I will send someone out to replace it free of charge. Finally, the leaks in your attic. Our Project Manager (accompanied by a trusted and experienced assistant) traced the leaks to cracks in the brick walls. This was not a problem we had encountered or noticed in the course of our roofing work. If we had, we certainly would have called it to your attention and suggested it be repaired immediately. The offer to caulk the cracks with available roofing caulk was simply an attempt to provide temporary relief until a mason could be called in to make permanent repairs to the brickwork. We take our work seriously here at Roofing & More. Even more important to us is making sure customers are satisfied that the work is done properly and that their roof will provide the protection expected. I am sorry you felt we were deficient in any way. Sincerely, Kyle Hoffman President Roofing & More, Inc.

The job had a bumpy start, because we were scheduled after Hurricane Sandy and obviously demand for roofing work was very high. They sent out 2 workers on a Saturday who did not seem very confident or prepared for the amount of work required. The bay window roof is 3 floors up so it was a somewhat complicated job. Once the initial work was finished, we tested the roof for water resistance, and found that it leaked more than ever. We called Roofing and More to report the continuing problems, and they promptly sent another man out to inspect the work. He recommended starting over and redoing all of the work. He and another worker came out to do the work the second time, and did a very thorough and careful job. They stuck with the price of the initial job, plus $340 for some framing work that was unexpected, which was fine with us. The roof is now installed correctly and is watertight. We are very satisfied with them overall and would use them again.
Description of Work: The work requested was to replace a leaking bay window roof by ripping out the existing roof and flashing and installing a new TPO roof and flashing.

Dear Member: I would like to thank you for taking the time to provide your comments about Roofing & More to Angie’s List. We always welcome feedback from our customers, either directly or through sites like Angie’s. I appreciate the fact that you are “very satisfied” with our work. I do, however, want to explain to you why we had to send a second person to your home to complete the job. We always make an effort to be as prompt as possible in responding to an issue that involves a leak, whether it is a roof or window. Given the understandable crush of work following Hurricane Sandy (which you alluded to in your review), our crews were stretched thin. Our team members who first addressed your problem did the best they could under the circumstances. The challenges of the high roof and size of the window made the job more difficult. However, they left believing that they had resolved the problem. Otherwise they would have remained on the job until they were certain it was done. Unfortunately, the repairs did not resolve the issue, which was more extensive than we first assessed. Happily, we were able to fix the problem once you alerted us to the continued leak. Thank you for the opportunity to make things right. The measure of a person’s - or a company’s - integrity is not what he or she does when everything goes right. It is how they respond when they face an unexpected challenge or problem. I would like to think that we did the best we could to resolve your issue quickly with a solution that will provide you with many years of service. Sincerely, Kyle Hoffman President Roofing & More, Inc.

Let me start by saying that I am very pleased with the quality of the roof that Roofing and More installed. Their team worked quickly and professionally and did good work, respected our property and our neighbors' property by working efficiently and cleaning up thoroughly when they were done. Compared to the roofing companies that many of our neighbors have hired, I think we fared very well. We were less impressed by the sales pitch and how we were treated by the salesman after the installation. We are not fans of high pressure sales pitches, and have a policy of not making purchase decisions before we've had a chance to sleep on it and evaluate our options. After looking over our house and taking pictures, the salesman scheduled a visit to present an estimate. The meeting for the estimate was filled with details about the materials they use, the methods and procedures they employ, and why they apply the techniques they do. Unfortunately, after presenting all this information, the salesman switched into pressure mode. First, he presented us with 'good' 'better' and 'best' options which each consisted of different sets of materials. These choices were bundles of options, rather than simply indicating price differences for each material choice. The salesman then indicated that we could get a 10% discount if we made our decision right then. We didn't appreciate the pressure. We also asked them to price out insullating our attic, and the salesman included an estimate for the number of packages of insullation material and their price. As mentioned above, we were happy with the work that was done. The roof seems sturdy and well constructed two years on. The day before the work took place, the insullation material was delivered to our house -- the same number of packages as in the estimate. After the roof was completed and the insullation was installed, the workers cleaned up and packed up their material -- including 4 packages of unused insullation. When they sent someone by to pick up our check, I asked about whether the cost of the unused insullation would be deducted from the estimated price, as it wasn't used. The gentleman they sent to collect the check hadn't heard anything about this, and we had to call the salesman who first insisted that they used all the material, and then relented when I told him that I'd seen them carry our the unused material. Eventually, we had the cost of the unused insullation deducted from our bill. This left a bad taste in our mouths. As a postscript, many months after the installation, Roofing and More called me to see if I was interested in hiring them for any other work. When I mentioned my experience with the salesman, I was informed that he no longer worked for the company. I have also received sales material from them in the mail twice -- both times in unmarked envelopes. It just seemed a bit odd that they wouldn't be honest about the fact that they were sending sales materials and include their logo or name on the envelope. Bottom line, they are somewhat pricy, the quality of the work is good, but we felt a bit uneasy with their sales techniques.

Roofing & More – Angie’s List Response – Member Nov. 16, 2012 Dear Member: I would like to thank you for the kind words you wrote about Roofing & More in your Angie’s List report. We are happy that you found our work to be of high quality, and that you are enjoying your new roof. However, your dissatisfaction with our sales process concerns me. As you indicated, the salesperson who worked with you is no longer with our company. The “pressure” tactics you cited is one of the reasons he is gone. I certainly don’t like to be driven into making a decision, and we don’t want our sales people taking that approach. I am very sorry if you felt pressured. As for the excess insulation materials, we cannot be exact when estimating how much of any material we will need to complete a job. For that reason we usually order a little more the necessary to be sure that we are not “caught short.” The fact that the salesperson was unaware of the excess insulation was a breakdown in communication on our part, and I apologize for that. In the end I hope you feel that we did the right thing by crediting the unused materials. Finally, our marketing materials. We get most of our new projects through referrals from customers who are delighted with our work. They tell their friends, neighbors and family members about us. But, like any business, we need to advertise as well. We are very proud of our company and our reputation, and I will be looking into the way we are being presented in our marketing materials, based on your comments. I truly hope that the positive aspects of your experience with Roofing & More outweigh the negative. Hopefully, the problems you encountered with our salesperson have been corrected. We appreciate the fact that you took the time to express your thoughts. We do listen and pay attention. I also hope you will give us another opportunity to impress you if you need additional work done on your home. Sincerely, Kyle Hoffman President Roofing & More, Inc.

Roofing & More – Members Response Nov. 12, 2012 Dear Member: I was stunned to read that you have not received your replacement windows estimate a full month after measurement. I immediately investigated the situation. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any record, either of your initial call or of our measurement visit. It seems to be one of those situations for which there is no adequate explanation. I would like the opportunity to make this right with you. If amenable to you we will revisit your home, at your convenience, to remeasure your windows. I assure you that I will personally see that a complete estimate will be in your hands within 24 hours, with a courtesy discount included as a way to make up for the delay. I would also like to enlist your assistance in helping to make sure such a situation does not occur in the future. Can you provide the dates on which you first contact Roofing & More, and the date on which the original measurements were taken? Also, if possible, the name of the Roofing & More representative who visited your home for the measurements? This will greatly help us in closing any gaps in our system. Please accept my sincere apology for the confusion and delay in your project. I hope you will allow us to show you that Roofing & More truly is a company that cares about its customers and our performance. Sincerely, Kyle Hoffman President Roofing & More, Inc.

We posted a request for a quote to their website, and they responded within 2 days and their estimator was at the house within a week. They gave us a fair quote (versus other providers), showed us work done for others, showed us their licenses and insurance certificate. We were able to come to terms and provided a deposit. They started work about a week later and were done in a day. Workmanship was excellent, the sales and roofing/skylight specialists did a great job, were courteous, and cleaned up with no residual mess. They followed up afterwards to see if we were happy with the job. VERY SATISFIED.
Description of Work: Replaced 4 old, leaking Skylights with new, including window boxes, flashing, shingles. Also sealed the cap on the Chimney and reconnected some loose gutters. Reviewed overall condition of roof and said it was good for roughly another 5 years.

We had worked with Roofing & More the previous year for gutter repairs and obtained a full roof replacement estimate at that time. As expected the new estimate had increased by about 3-4 percent. This seem reasonable so we signed the contract and scheduled the work to coincide with work being done in the neighborhood. (two birds with one stone) To accomplish this dates had to be changed with several phone calls. Also, the work was being scheduled during the winter and was subject to weather delays. About a month before the work was to be done a truck showed up to lift all the materials up onto my roof. When I voiced my concern to the driver about having such a heavy load on the roof for such a long time, he said that it was their practice to put it up on the roof the week before for safekeeping. I had to explain that I was not scheduled to have the work done until the next month. He looked shocked and called the office. Apparently, the material order was never changed. He thanked me and said it would have been a big mistake. THey would be back next month. Unfortunately, when the next month came they no longer had all the items and there was a slight delay in completing all the work. However, the crews were fast, mostly efficient, and successfully contended with a big winter storm. The roof was completed quickly, but they had more trouble with the skylights and the sun tube. The skylights required a retro-fitting and left a large gap between the interior drywall and the unit. When I questioned this they tried to rectify it by using an exterior metal ice-damming guard. It corrected the gap on the exterior side, but left me with a metal strip on one side of my interior ceiling. When I called the office to ask what would be done. I was told that "per my contract" they were not responsible for any modifications to the interior required to fit the new skylights. I explained the problem was created when their workman became too aggressive in cutting away the drywall. I was told it did not matter, they would not even come out to look at it. (Let the buyer beware.) Other than that the job was excellent. It took a little longer than expected to put in the sun tube because they weren't sure how to do it and ended up pulling up a bunch of plywood sheets in the attic unnecessarily. I didn't mind this as they did a cautious but great job. That is the thing with this company, they err on the side of caution and generally do strive to make things right. Our GAF inspection went without problem, the inspector did identify himself and he did not find any problems. It has been several months and the roof looks great, although we are still getting loose nails falling to the ground during windy days and had one gutter spout back up because of roofing debris. THe skylights and sun tube have yet to leak (knock on wood), so overall, they did a good job.
Description of Work: Roofing & More replaced my 18 year old roof with a 25-year GAF shingle and upgraded the materials to prevent ice damming. They replaced two skylights, and added a new sun tube to a second floor bathroom. During the course of the work, they identified rotting wood around the fireplace roof area and replaced it with new sheets of wood.

It was done the day before a major snowstorm, which we were glad about--until they reported that they were one square short on shingles. So we had a tarp over the roof for a snowstorm. That worked out OK, but we weren't thrilled. Then the siding and door project started. We had laid out with Kyle exactly what materials were to be used. A truck arrived and delivered piles of stuff; then the project foreman came by the next day with a crew and they started work, only to realize that a bunch of parts were missing, including the underlayment. That was the first delay, only a few days.Once they were working again, various other bits kept being wrong. At one point I came home from an errand (I work from home) and saw that the gable vent was the wrong color. I asked the foreman why on earth he put a gray vent on a cream house and he said "I thought that was the color you wanted". He could have asked -- it's not like I wasn't around 99% of the time! That necessitated removing most of the siding from that end of the house, replacing the vent, and then putting the siding back on.Then they were mostly done and I asked when the corner posts would be put on. "Those are the corner posts", he told me. "No, those aren't the ones specified in the job", I pointed out. That meant more delays, while the right posts were ordered, and then they had to remove all the siding that went to the corners, put on the corners, and replace the siding. All of these "parts" problems could and should have been settled early on, by checking what was delivered against the work order. Finally the siding was almost done, and it was time for the doors. The crew that did the doors were great -- very fast, very careful, and very professional. I noticed the lead guy spending a LOT of time making sure the door from the garage into the house was level, and indeed, it's totally neutral -- doesn't want to swing open or closed on its own, which is great when, say, you're bringing in groceries: you can leave it almost closed to keep the garage from heating or cooling the house. Oddly, however, I noticed a "Firehouse Windows and Doors" sign in the crew's truck. So I asked one of them, "You're from Firehouse Windows and Doors?" and he said "Yes"; the foreman (who was not the lead guy -- the lead guy was the real craftsman!) sort of corrected him, but without conviction. I subsequently asked Kyle about this, since he had told us he had his own door crew, and he admitted that he'd had to let that crew go over the (slow) winter. This wasn't really a problem, since Firehouse did great work, but I would have felt better had he been straight about it.The next problem was the headers for the windows and front door. Again, these had been carefully speced in the work order, but were not delivered. To be fair, this wasn't R&M's fault: the distributor ordered them, they came in, and they never delivered them as they were supposed to. Eventually they sent them back, without ever following up. Stupid.Anyway, so now the job was almost done but waiting on these parts. Kyle finally got Jason, a handyman from another company, to build them out of Fypon (or equivalent) parts, rather than ordering them premade. Again, that would have been OK, but it took several weeks: Jason kept delaying. Eventually I got stern with him and Kyle, noting that we were WAY behind here, and that Jason needed to get on the stick and git 'er done, not keep taking time for other, larger projects. Finally he finished them and installed them. His crew also painted the wood trim on the new sliding door to the deck, which Firehouse hadn't done because they "don't do painting"; this had been part of the original job spec as well. They also painted the (steel) garage door, as agreed, to match the trim. When they did so, they got paint on the weatherstripping, which blocked (stayed sticky). After some negotiating, they came back and worked it over with some paint thinner. This made it somewhat better, but the garage door still sticks sometimes. With the front of the house complete, we could see a couple of places where bad siding joints were VERY visible at night, due to shadows. R&M sent a couple of guys out and they tinkered, made things better, though not perfect. Two more nits:When we were waiting for the window/door headers, R&M wanted us to pay the rest of the job. I had to tell them that there was no way I was paying for it until it was DONE. They weren't happy but acquiesced.A few months later, we realized that we'd paid a premium for a roof quality that included an inspection by GAF (the manufacturer), and this hadn't happened. We called R&M, and they said to call GAF. Called GAF, and they found the job but said we hadn't paid for that level of roofing. Called Kyle, who checked and found that the wrong paperwork had supposedly been sent to GAF. This seemed...fishy, but no way to check. Anyway, GAF said they would have it inspected, and told me it would be a couple of weeks.Got a call from the inspector, who said he'd be by later that day if it was OK. I said "Sure". At 5PM, my wife asked if he'd ever arrived; he hadn't, so I called him back. He answered his cell, but said "Sure, I was there". "You were? You didn't ring the doorbell!" "Sure I did, I talked to your daughter". "Uh...no, she's at school." "Hmm..." <riffling of papers> "Oh, jeez, I went to the wrong address!"So the good news was, my neighbor's 5-year-old roof passed his inspection. The bad news was, ours still hadn't been inspected. He said he'd reschedule.A week went by; I called GAF again (because this guy's cell wasn't working any more) and they said he'd fallen off a roof and it would be a few more weeks. Another month went by, and then R&M called to say that the inspection had been done and there was a minor problem with some flashing, and could they come fix it? So they did. I'm not happy with GAF that they did an inspection without having the courtesy to let us know.I also discovered, a few months after the job was done, that someone had stepped off a joist in the attic and made an almost-hole in the ceiling below. I didn't follow up on this with R&M, as I have no proof that it was during that job, but since nobody else has been up there, I can't see how it could have been anyone else. So the end result is that the exterior looks great, but it was a lot more hassle getting there than it needed to be. A few checklists and some project management would have saved a lot of time and a lot of R&M's money. I think they're nice people and mean well, and I'm sorry that the choices are only "would use again" or "would not use again"; I *might* use them again, but can't give an unconditional "yes", alas.
Description of Work: Replaced roof, including new ridge vent and more insulation in attic; also replaced siding, shutters, and three doors (slider to deck, front entry, and entry from garage to family room).

Response from Roofing & More Inc
I am very sorry that Member’s project did not go as he expected. We were also disappointed in our performance at the time. There were several points in the process where mistakes were made, some of the avoidable, others not. Please keep in mind that this project was completed nearly three years ago. And we learn from our mistakes. In the ensuing time we have taken significant steps to “tighten up” several areas of operation here at Roofing & More to help to avoid situation like that which Member experienced. For example, we have changed the way we control materials inventory, including a better process for examining and identifying products; we have better coordination between roofing, siding and window & door crews; we have significantly reduced our use of sub-contractors and now use them only in specialty areas; and we have improved communications with GAF regarding warranty inspections. In a way, Member has done Roofing & More a great service by pointing out areas that needed improvement. We truly appreciate his patience and honesty with us. And, despite the many problems with his project, he was nice enough to give us a “might use them again” for future work. If he does I think he will find Roofing & More to be a much different, much improved company. Kyle Hoffman President Roofing & More

We paid a lot because we had a lot done. We researched the shingles we wanted to use and we went to the website and got their certified installers. We interviewed about 3 or 4 different ones and we liked the package they put together.
Description of Work: I used ROOFING & MORE INC to have a new roof put on. They also replaced the skylights and a lot of other things.

Description of Work: They replaced my front door. The person they sent to do the estimate measured the door incorrectly and they did not want to eat the cost of a custom door so they talked me into remodeling my front entrance to make it fit. Instead if one day it took a week to finish. The person doing the work was excellent which is their saving grace but he made mistakes and had to fix which took time. They are not door experts by any stretch of the imagination. The door was not exactly straight and the door company expert had to fix so now it is perfect. The brick pavers they had to remove and put back were not right and I had to fix myself because Kyle wanted $60 to come back to look at the problem. I have had them do roofing type of work by fixing the leak in my front room over the bump out and they did an excellent job. They did a roof for a friend of mine and he was very pleased. But I had them come back after the door install to look at another leak upstairs and they spent about an hour fixing and charged $300 which I assumed he was trying to get back some of his money for the door screwup. Watch out for Kyle as he is a slick salesman and I would stick to roofs only which seems to be their true expertise.

I needed a new roof and fast! Roofing & More won the job after I talked with 2 other roofing companies which were cavalier in their approach. On the next available date (it's winter after all) they showed up early and finished a 30 square reroof in two days. I'm a former roofing contractor and my standards are pretty high, plus I know what a good job looks like. Roofing & More's workmanship and attention to detail confirms for me that the best might cost a bit more, but it's worth it.
Description of Work: Provided an exemplary estimate. Stripped off old roofing shingles; replaced damaged sheathing; applied "Weather Shield" to all eave and rake edges; installed drip edge to eaves and rakes; applied best synthetic underlayment; installed 3 tab shingles; cleaned area and removed all debris.

Side Fascia was ripped off due to high wind a few weeks back. I called a couple of contractors. Nathan from this company came the day after I called to give me an estimate. He gave me the option of replacing the entire strip on that side (instead of just fixing the ripped part). The reasoning was that there was another section of the Faschia that could have come off due to some nails that had been used to fix it some other time. That made sense. So did the price since it was just a few $$ more than another contractor (who would have just fixed the ripped part). So I decided to go with 'entire replacement' Repair was scheduled 2 weeks later and was performed at that time. This is the second time I have used this company and I liked their professionalism. invoices, checklists etc were all emailed to me in PDF format which I liked. No paper.
Description of Work: Replacement of Fascia below the gable.

They quoted me a fair price and seemed to know what they were doing. The weather forecast called for rain the day they were supposed to do the work so they were able to come the day before to get the work done on time. I am pleased with what they have done.

The salesman, Joe, was actually early, did an excellent job of reviewing the issue. Presented 2 alternatives, full replacement or repair; we selected repair as full replacement was pretty pricy. Promised to send a checklist and a contract to be signed, also informed us that the president, Kyle, would review the contract. Joe e-mailed the checklist and the contract. Checklist was supposed to be something to verify that Joe (salesman) had covered everything but really didn't and buried in the list is an item that would allow additional work to be added. The contract covered all the work to be performed with the standard disclaimers AND a clause that the president would review the signed contract and could make changes. When I stated that any changes would require my resignature Kyle didn't want the job.
Description of Work: In 2010 we had Roofing & More replace the roof over our garage and they did an excellent job. This year we needed a repair for the main roof untill we replace it in about 4 years. Salesman was excellent and we had an understanding until he presented a checklist and a proposed contract. Be very careful! The checklist is worded so you will allow additional work to be added and the contract has a pharse in which you agree to changes after you sign the contract. When I sign with the statement that any changes changes required a resign by me Kyle (the owner) refused the job. The company has changed in the last year BE VERY CAREFUL.
