Oscar met with us a number of times and worked very hard explaining the roofing process and what it was we should expect, which we very much appreciated. However, once the estimate was prepared and we didn't sign it immediately, it got very uncomfortable. The price was significantly higher (by thousands) than another estimate we'd received even after he came down from the top of the line roof. I do feel that, had we gone with Roofing and More, it likely would have been a very good experience, but between the seemingly high price and the off-putting attitude when we said we wanted an opportunity to think about signing after the estimate was created it did not seem to be a good fit for us.

Excellent service and work from start to finish. I would highly recommend this company again. By the way, the company's name has been changed to Roofing and More, Incorporatd.

We called this company to resolve a small roof leak, after having previously hired another firm to fix it and the other firm having failed. R&M identified and solved the problem within a couple of minutes -- including the time to stand up a ladder. This was a small problem which I would expect any company in roofing to be able to fix -- but sad to say their competitors did not succeed. The guy from R&M clearly knew his business, and as a result of their simple and quick fix, we'll certainly think of them first whenever we need roofing done in the future. The solution turned out to be $0.01 worth of sealant put on a fastener in a skylight -- literally squirting a little caulk on a nail. Annoyingly, the other company had missed this basic thing. R&M didn't bother charging us for this, and actually took the time to take a couple digital photos of the skylights fasteners and the missing caulk.

From start to finish this was a great experience! We interviewed about six roofing companies, and Roofing & More Inc. gave us the most confidence that they would do the best job, and their price was very competitive. Jeremiah, the estimator, listened to us carefully and came up with some particularly creative solutions to the roofing problems we were trying to solve. His proposal actually contained a number of pictures of our roof and the problems we had. Specifically, we have a 25-year-old roof so there was a space between where the walls of the house meet the roof. As a result we have had continuous problems with squirrels getting into our attic and big problems with ice dams. For very little additional cost, Jeremiah came up with the idea of using oversized metal drip edge to fill this gap all around the house and to double the drip edge and ice and water shield on the north side of the house to provide extra protection against ice dams. We now feel really protected. Exactly what we wanted. Geraldo and his guys were the crew that did the roofing. These roofers are master craftsman who really care about their work! For example, they used snap lines to make sure that all shingles were laid exactly evenly. We've seen other roofers who just throw the shingles down. And the R&M crew carefully cleaned up after themselves every day. We can honestly say that our roof looks like a work of art. We were also pleased to use Roofing and More Inc. because they are a GAF Certified Master Elite Roofing Contractor. There are very few of these in this area. If you use a roofer with this certification, GAF will independently inspect the final work. This was particularly important to us, because we weren't going to go on the roof to see what was done, and we wouldn't know what to look for if we went up there, anyway. Then GAF provides a 20 year guarantee on workmanship. As best we know, nobody else provides as long a warranty on workmanship. The typical warranty on shingles doesn't mean much because shingles are so inexpensive. The real cost is in labor, so the workmanship warranty was very important to us. All in all, from start to finish this company provided great service to us.

I had this company install a sun tunnel in my roof two years ago. This May it started leaking. They came out right away and found a problem with the flashing and a couple of shingles. They fixed it for free. They also went up into my attic, at my request, to make sure the insulation was OK. While they were on the roof, I asked them to fix some problems that i knew had occurred during the huge snow storms this winter (drip edge disconnected, gutter sagging, etc.) I had intended to pay for this part, but they threw it in for free also.

I'm happy because I don't have a leak in my roof anymore. They came out quickly, did the work, and left which is what I needed.

Overall very good work. Scheduled to meet on 15 October. Individual from the company arrived at the scheduled time. Informed the individual that the flashing was leaking above the kitchen window and that the skylight needed to be replaced. Individual looked at the flashing and skylight in the middle of a rain storm. He assessed that the sealing around the flashing needed to be replaced and agreed that the skylight needed to be replaced. It was very old and was beginning to crack. The individual provided me a fair estimate that included the price of the skylight. I was informed that I would receive a call prior to the work being perfomed. It was not necessary for me to be a home. I received the phone call prior to the work being accomplished. The work was performed as scheduled. I have not experienced any problems.

We received a very detailed and professional estimate from Carlos. He took a lot of time with us and it was because of his initial contact we negotiated a price with Roofing and Moore. They were not our lowest bid. They did negotiate with us once we had comparable bids. The roofers came on time and finished on time. They sent a post-install inspection prior to paying our balance. They had a crew out a few days later to fix a few shingles that weren't up to the inspector's satisfaction. We were very pleased with the entire process.

I thought that they were very good and responsive. I was very happy with the job that they did. I didn't have any problems with them. The job took a little longer than they thought, but that wasn't a big deal.

Overall, I do not recommend using Roofing & More, Inc. Carlos, on their sales staff, couldn't have been nicer. He answered all of my questions, and came back twice. He got up in the attic, even though the access was difficult. Carlos gets an A+. All others get C grades, at best. First, I had several scheduling issues-they rescheduled on me three times. Twice because of weather issues-fine, I understand that. The other time, they said it was because one of their crews was "out of town". When I pressed, they said, one crew was "Out of the country." Huh? Do you not employ US citizens? I was told they only hired full time employees. Next, the girl who answers the phone, repeatedly left me messages at the wrong number. I gave her my cell and work numbers numerous times. Yet, whenever she called to reschedule, she called and left a message on my home phone. Why? Why then, did I give you my work and cell numbers at least three time? Why did I tell them to two different employees in the front office and asked that specifically call me at work or on my cell. I took a day off from work, expecting a crew to show up, but only found out after the fact, that they had rescheduled. Next, my gutters were installed by a sub-contractor. This was to have occurred AFTER my roof was replaced. That's the protocol, b/c the roofers might find rotted fascia wood behind the gutters that should be replaced. When I called, the receptionist didn't seem very concerned of this scheduling flaw. She assured me it wouldn't matter. The gutters were not installed well-they weren't even connected to the downspout extension that takes the water away from the foundation. I found out the hard way when water was dumped next to the house during a downpour two weeks later. The roof replacement, once finally scheduled, was okay--they started and finished in one day. Only one crew member spoke English. In order to replace some trim on my roof, the installers got on my neighbor's flat roof. Okay, find, I understand. But, they didn't inform me that they would need access and they didn't ask my neighbor for permission. My neighbor was upset, b/c he has a flat roof and was concerned that the installers may have stepped on, and damaged a membrane that goes from the flat part of the roof to the vertical portion of brickwork. I had no idea. I raised this with the on-site supervisor. He said not to worry, as they would send out their VP, one week later to inspect my roof, and my neighbors. Todd Shaffer came out one week later for the inspection. I told my neighbor. Todd told me he would take digital pics of the neighbors roof and email them to him. My neighbor thought that was fine. Guess what? Todd never emailed them. Todd told me directly that he would do so. I made sure that Todd had his correct email address. So, to summarize--communication issues, gutters installed poorly, VP didn't follow through on a promise.

They were great. The whole process went really well. They gave us some options. They were professional and did the work in a timely manner. I would use them again in the future.

To make a long story short, after months of calling, emailing, etc. to get promised pictures of the work reportedly completed in SEPT 07, I was told that pictures weren't taken. I complained when the windows again began to leak. Finally in MAY 08, the vice president came out and promised to review the work, promised to talk to the estimator, and promised to email me a written estimate (which he projected at nearly 6 times the original repair cost). Weeks later, he left me a phone message apologizing for not sending the estimate and promised that I d get it in the morning. He never contacted me again. Currently, my big bay windows leak to the point that my hardwood floor is damaged and bugs crept into the house around the windows. I received a phone message from the president after I called and told them I filed a Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaint against them. In their response to the BBB, they agreed to refund my money, but their account of the events was blatantly inaccurate. I guess they didn't realize that some people keep voice messages. This case is not yet resolved.

Once again, they are an excellent company for this project. After completing the roof, Mr. Carlos Burlar again came to our home as scheduled, and provided an easily understandable explanation of what needed to be done, along with providing a variety of sample material for us to choose from (even including samples of the different types of insulation)! Once we decided on the colors of the siding and trim, he gave us three very detailed written estimates for the siding replacement, one for each grade of materials. The final contract was very specific as to what work would be done, and when it would be done. The company called prior to appointments to confirm. When we needed to delay the installation by a week because the windows were not yet in (from another contractor), they had no problem with the delay. When the siding was installed, it was quick (two days), excellent workmanship, and they left absolutely no trace of debris, not even a single nail! Great company!

They were a little high but I feel I got my money's worth. They were very courtesy, kind and even the owner came out. The foreman for the job was also very courtesy and articulate. They came when they said they would and even when they were stuck doing another job for someone else, they called and let me know what was going on and once they came out, they stayed here to do the work, which I really liked. They were very responsive, there was even a minor problem with the work but they came right back to fix it. I was very impressed with that. I have even hired them already to do a an annual maintenance check on my roof.

We were very impressed with the reliability and professionalism of the company. The company representative sent to conduct an estimate was very knowledgeable and answered a number of questions related to the roof.

They have a minimum fee they charge of $385, which was extremely high for the small job to be performed, so I did the repair myself. They would save themselves some effort, if they would tell people up front, on the phone, what their minimum fee is.

I HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS COMPANY. THEY WERE POLITE AND KIND. I WILL GLADLY REFER THIS COMPANY TO OTHER CONSUMERS. THEY WERE VERY RESPECTFUL.

GOOD SERVICES, MAYBE THEIR PUNCTUALITY IS A LITTLE OFF BUT THEY DID GOOD WORK FOR THE PRICE WE PAID. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM FOR SERVICES. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL IMPROVE ON THEIR TARDINESS
