Response from Roofing & More Inc
First I want to thank you for taking the time and posting about our company. As the owner of the company I pay very close attention to each and every review that is posted. I am thankful that you seemed to have a great experience with us in every area other than the price factor. I felt that you deserved an explanation and hope it helps with your understanding of how we price our projects. I have personally reviewed your agreement and pricing to ensure that there was not an error. I fully understand as a family man and homeowner myself that price is an important factor in everything we do. But as a business owner I also see the importance of pricing a project and completing it properly, using only quality materials, trained installers and to the letter of the law. Coincidently I just returned from our annual business planning boot camp. This is where we go away for 3 ½ days and focus on all aspects of our business and create a plan and pricing for the next calendar year. According to the SBA a high percentage of contracting businesses go out of business each year because they sell goods and services for less than they can afford to. The impact that this has on people and our economy is tremendous. Before they go out of business they start to cut corners and leave out important items of protection that affect both the workers and the homeowners they are working for, such as proper insurance coverage (after all when do you find out that someone is under or uninsured; after the accident right), proper licensing, OSHA and EPA laws, and more. Roofing & More Inc. has been in business for 22 years and we intend to keep it that way. To run a corporation correctly it takes a plan and understanding of business. We do not strive to be the most expensive, or the least expensive. We just need to charge the right price with the right specifications for all materials, labor, property and person protection, which will ultimately solve our customers problem without putting them or anyone else involved at risk. Again I thank you for your review and for the opportunity to serve you. Sincerely, Kyle Hoffman
