No problems at all, everything went well.

They were great. Came on time and performed the services quickly and with no mess or hassle. They were able to tell us of the pros and cons of our chimney, when service will be needed again and when repairs will probably be needed in the future. Very knowledgeable and very friendly. They came on the morning of New Year's Eve when I thought everyone would be unavailable. I give them the highest recommendations!

John was not only punctual, professional and easy to talk to, he was an excellent technician. We would certainly call Potomac Services again.

We had called to ask him to check out what had sounded like our chimney falling into the fireplace. He kindly didn't laugh too much when he found it was just the ash bucket getting bumped by us. He gave us some advice about what to watch out for with the age of our house and only charged us a small fee for the house call.

Potomac services was extremely knowledgeable. Jeff arrived on time and provided great advice. He was very honest and did not pressure sell anything. Quite the opposite, he convinced me that certain work I was requesting would provide minimum return on investment. Honesty and integrity are rare finds these days I would definitely use them again.

Home was not inhabited during work. Workmanship was good, crew required close supervision(e.g., doors were left open overnight creating undue heating expense because supervisor was not onsite to closeup). Overall, project was effective and resulted in increase in selling price that more than paid for the upgrade.

The chimney sweep went extremely well because we also needed to have a repair done and they took care of that at a very reasonable price and they were quite speedy. I would recommend them to a family member. I would give them an 'A' for everything on the grading scale. It was Potomac Service chimney sweep. The additional charge was $75 or less. It was very reasonable because somebody had to get up on the roof and carry supplies and all of that. I would grade them an 'A' across the board.

It was great. I don't remember any problem. We ended up doing two chimneys instead of one so we paid an additional fee. It was very good. We were happy to hear that our chimneys were in great shape. They were very good. They were helpful. They answered all our questions. It was all positive.

I have used Potomac Services for a couple of different plumbing services. They are always on time or early (they always call first to make sure they can come early), are patient, through, and clean in their work. The services providers take the time to explain the issue and what needs to be done to fix the issue. Most recently my outdoor spigot was leaking. I called Potomac Services and they came out right away. The leak was inside the wall so they cut out the problem spot, replaced the section of pipe with a new piece of copper. They also replaced the old and cracked spigot and cleaned up nicely.

Things went pretty well. I don’t recall any negative issues with them. They honored the Deal for that price.

It was a Big Deal purchase. They were great. They did a great job. They were really good. I would use them again.

I sold my home and no longer needed this deal

They did an excellent job. They even gave me an Angie' List discount. The service went really well. They said we didn't have to replace the panel now but we are converting to gas so we did the work now. He seemed to be very honest. We had used another company to clean the fireplace and he did it again because there was still a lot of stuff. The place was very clean once he left. He told us about what else we needed to do. We didn't tell him when we called that we were Angie's List members and we just mentioned it when we were writing the check. He was very responsive. They had a medical emergency so they had to reschedule for the next day. They were very punctual and professional. His name was Casey Brown. He was excellent and we learned a lot about our fireplace from him.

We've used Potomac Services on a couple of occasions and have been very happy. We recently experienced significant dryer times, and a leaking dryer vent. They were able to send someone out on short notice--Casey--who thoroughly investigated the issue and recognized that the existing vent was (a) not up to code and (b) broken in a number of places. He was able to remove the existing vent and a few days later returned to install a new vent. He was courteous, professional and very efficient. He took his time to figure out what was wrong and was unwilling to simply take the short road to a quick solution (that wouldn't have worked). I'd use Potomac Services again.

He was good and on time. He was also professional and I appreciated that he notified me of the problem.

It worked out fine. They came out soon enough.

I called on Friday 3/28 near COB and went over the request, as birds kept getting into our vents. I had purchased a few covers/cages but some of them were in areas I didn't feel comfortable reaching to. After multiple bird attacks. Casey (tech) arrived on-time and got right to work. He completed the duct cleaning quickly, and started on the covers/cages. They were done fairly fast, and the most difficult one needed some creativity to get to and complete, which he did without much of an issue. No complaints, competitive pricing, and the work was done beyond my original expectation.

The technician was extremely helpful and even suggested that I might be able to do the job myself, to save money. Since he was there and so helpful, I decided to pay him to do it anyway.

It was good. They told me that my chimney was fine. They responded quickly. They came out when they said they were going to be here. They were very professional. It’s a good service. He didn’t try and sell me anything else.

They finished in 1 hour 45 minutes. I have no idea how effective this service was but it cost way too much.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. They were professional and courteous. They were par for the course for Angie's List.

Dryer vent cleaning. Took the vent pipe apart, reached in with hand and pulled out lint. Told me he usually charged extra to replace the foil tape he had removed but wouldn't today. Made a big deal about it. Did not clean vent to outside as it was too much trouble, in spite of being asked to. I have done that little myself, I hired them to do what I couldn't. Person who came spent much time talking about himself as he worked rather than just getting the job done. I felt ripped off.

Everything went very smoothly and professionally. The initial inspection visit occurred promptly, and the follow-up visit to do the repair was punctual and efficient. We are extremely pleased with their work.
