I had a termite inspector from PestNow come to my home to provide a pre-closing inspection. The low $35 price quoted should have been a warning sign. The inspector said there was evidence of us having some type of termite treatment in the past and found some termite shelter tubes in the basement. He asked if we had a current termite protection plan and I told him no. He indicated that if we can't produce any evidence of being protected our home closing would be held up unless he was allowed to give us a termite treatment and protection policy for the cost of $478. There was no sign of termite infestation or damage at all. This seemed like a highly suspicious way to extort money from homeowners with the threat of holding up the sale of the home. Since they would report that we ?failed? the termite inspection to the title company we had no choice but to use them. I would not use this company in the future for any service.

I called the company and they had someone out in 20 minutes. They honored the discount and all follows are included until the second service 3 months later. The have the same service person come out for all services unless he/she is out of town. I was very happy with the cost and service.

PestNow came for first the treatment and told me to take everything out of my bedroom and to dryclean and wash everything. Past the 90 day warranty, I was still having the same problem, so they came for complementary retreatment. I assumed it was the same protocol, so I took everything out of my bedroom again. The tech that came was nice and told me it wasn't necessary for me to take everything out of my bedroom. The issue is still persisting and they've instructed me to remove everything from my kitchen now. A lot of my very expensive clothes have been ruined in the process. I'm really at a loss as to what to do. They have a very good reputation, but they have not been working well for me on this issue.

We were invaded by mice and also had some termite damage to a basement door frame. PestNow sent someone to inspect the situation and propose a treatment plan. He spent 30 minutes checking things out, then explained what would be needed to protect against termites, that is, where the holes inside the basement and outside the house for the poison would be drilled, how the poison would work, etc. We agreed on a price for the termite work and also for eliminating the mice. We added cockroach protection although we were not infested, because they are always a threat in our 1920s rowhouse style duplex. The work was done four days later. The work was done by different people (termites vs. mice) but both were very efficient and professional. They arrived on time. We plan to sell our house in about 4 months. If it does not pass the termite inspection, PestNow will return to do whatever is needed at no additional cost. We were very pleased with PestNow in all respects.

We have used this company for both mice and bug removal, as well as getting squirrels out of our attic. They are on time, curteous, even took their shoes off to not track mud in the house. But most importantly, they get the job done. We haven't seen any mice, spiders, or centipeds, and the squirrels can no longer get in the attic. We really appreciated John and Patrick for their excellent work!

They missed the first appointment altogether, but arrived timely for the second appointment. We thought we had pests in the attic, but after performing an inspection, they indicated it was just birds we were hearing and although we could contract with them to do the work, it was a much simpler job than what they'd have to charge us for. A good honest analysis. Thanks!

Called the freephone number on the web site and left a message. Received a call from Nick on the answering machine the next day. Took me several calls to get a hold of Nick, and I got the impression I was calling his personal cell phone instead of a company rep. When I finally got hold of Nick and explained my need for rodent extermination, he referred me to a colleague - Jeff. Jeff never called back, and I was a little put out having been passed on. With so many exterminator services available on Angie's List, I've decided to pass and look to the next. I'm sure Pest Now deserves their A grade once they come and do the work, but I'll never know.

Will showed up exactly at the beginning of the 2 hour window - in fact he was a few minutes early - was very polite, and professional. He explained everything he was looking for as he inspected the house and told me what to expect over the next few days. I feel very confident so far with PestNow, since they are responsive, knowledgeable and professional. I'd recommend this company to others for pest and termite control.

The inspector arrived on time during out home inspection and performed a detailed review of the area. His conclusion was that there were no pest issues; however, he provided us with several treatment options we had in the event that we purchased this home. He was extremely thorough and knowledgeable about variable options taking into consideration features in the house. I found the session extremely informative and the inspector very knowledgeable.

Pest Now has been easy to work with and the service has clearly worked. When we moved in we had all kinds of things coming into our basement. With Pest Now we keep them at bay and if they do start getting inside, Pest Now comes out and takes care of it within 1-2 days. They call before they come so that I can plan to be there if I need to let them in but otherwise, they leave a notice on my door letting me know they were there. Payment can be online which makes things much easier on me. We'll continue to use them.

Called for trapping of a squirrel causing havoc inside the house. I called then to correct another pest control companies oversight on the squirrel issue. Company was very responsive and sent out 2 techs on Saturday, the day i called. They even called to tell me they were running late and would be arriving soon. When they came one went of the roof to inspect the attic fan for points of entry and the other set a trap in the attic. (Squirrel was caught shortly after they left!) They also helped to seal an additional possible point of entry to the house. They were professional, very knowledgeable, came prepared to do the job. The price is a little steep but they guarantee the work for 1 year, so i think its a good deal and for peace of mind. Any problems they will return to fix the issue free of charge. A week later, i called them again because i heard noises in the house. A tech came out and set some additional traps in the attic, this was done free of charge. Bottom Line - company is responsive and professional. i highly recommend talking to them about your pest control concerns.

The ants are completely gone and the centipedes, crickets, and spiders are rare now. We do get a fair number of stinkbugs in the fall and winter months and treatments only seem to help marginally with those pests. We have little kids and two cats, so we rarely have the inside of our house treated.

Were responsive and available when we needed them and explained the Arlington law that requires flea bombing for all rentals that had pets.

Overall, the appointment went well. I do not have to be home because it is only outside. The only problem was that the service person thought the gates were locked and did not do the back of the property at all. The gates get stuck, but definitely were not locked. I know if I call they will come back and finish. The service person leaves a report with any issues and work done.

Overall the pest control work was great. The lawn treatment work was satisfactory (we aerated and overseeded this year so we will see what happens next year). That said, the people who have done the work have done a great job.

Did not try to over chemical us and actually wanted us to use less.

I called PestNow and scheduled a pest inspection. They came out immediately and performed the inspection as requested. No problems noted and would use again.

They were very nice people and they seemed to really care about what they were doing.

Found them to be responsive and thorough. The fact that they treat primarily outside the house seems counter-intuitive, however, the only bugs we have seen have been within 1-2 weeks of when they are scheduled to come again. They indicate that they will come in between service for issues, however, we have not found it necessary to call them.

They are really good. They come out anytime you need them at no cost.

They are very responsive and the person who always comes to my house is very nice. We had little problem this week and they came home the next day and we were covered by the guarantee. They came three or four times already and I have no complains, I am very pleased with their service.

It didn't go as well as I had hoped. I chose PestNow because they were highly rated on Angie's List and affordable. However, after several months, we still saw evidence of mice in the condo. We even saw evidence that they were entering new areas, such as the bedroom and bathroom, not just the kitchen. We decided to fire PestNow and hire another pest service.

I moved into a new house and all of my stuff had been in storage. I had seen numerous spiders around the house so called this company (from a referral from my realtor). I had some bites on my legs and when I called, this company got me concerned that I got bed bugs while my belongings were in storage. They said the guy who would come to spray for bugs could do an inspection to look for bed bugs. I was fairly certain I didn't have any as I had never seen a bug, but I wanted to make sure. The day of my appointment, the guy showed up very late. He was coming from Maryland and I had the first appointment of the morning. I'm pretty sure the guy didn't even leave Maryland until after my appointment window ended. When the guy came to the door, he didn't even have the bug spray to get started. He didn't seem to think that him being so late might be an issue. He immediately went to check my bed for bed bugs. He didn't find any sign of any bugs in the "normal places." He did see some small flecks of brown on top of my white mattress and he told me that I had bed bugs and that those pieces were the bed bug shells. I explained to him that I set my dresser drawers on the bed and I know for a fact that those flecks are actually pieces of wood that scraped off the drawers and NOT bed bugs. He tried telling me I was incorrect, so I started feeling skeptical. I did notice a small black object so I asked him about that and he told me, that is 100% a baby bed bug. He then starts the high pressure sales pitch, telling me I need to do immediate service and to sign a contract to pay $800. The guy didn't seem like he knew what he was talking about and since he tried telling me pieces of wood were bed bugs, I decided to wait and not sign anything. He was not happy that I wouldn't sign the contract. I let him spray my house, which turned out to not be that effective as I continued seeing spiders in my house within a couple weeks. I later learned that baby bed bugs are white (not black so the fleck of whatever??? was NOT a bed bug) and the bites I had were from mosquitos. I called Superior Pest Management and they were very apologetic and offered to send a real inspector to come out to see if I actually did or did not have bed bugs. I don't think the inspector who came out and informed me that I did NOT have bed bugs, believed that the technician pressured me to commit to bed bug service, even though I told him he did. I appreciated them sending the inspector out so decided to give them another chance and to continue my service. The inspector said to have them come back out to spray again, as I started seeing bugs before I was due for my next service. I was surprised that after my poor service, it still took over 2 weeks to be scheduled for an appointment for them to respray (which is quite a while since their spray wasn't effective and I still had spiders all over my house) and amazingly, the same guy who lied and pressured me into getting service I didn't need came to my house to perform the service again. Once again, he was incredibly late and wasn't ready to work when he showed up at my door. Although the inspector was nice, apparently they don't care that unknowledgeable technicians are making their company look horrible. I have cancelled my service with this company. I left a message explaining how disappointed I was and never even received any sort of follow up from the company. The spray they used never worked, they try to sell services you don't need, and they are very late.
